It was so nice knowing that they were being cared for by someone that obviously puts a lot of thought and attention into the comfort of the animals and concerns of the owner. She was very attentive to the nuances of our animals' behaviors and took great care of our crew, helping them adjust to our being away. About: Hi! I’m Alexis, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so I know they aren’t “just pets”, they’re family. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and cuddly, or somewhere in between. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, and to care for them just as I would my own. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry best friend, so I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages to give you peace of mind. Whether it’s walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup and become someone you can trust whenever you need a helping hand! I'm a recent college graduate so I am home fulltime and have more than enough time available to love on your fur baby! There is nothing better than having furbaby love! I do not have a fenced in backyard but will be more than happy to take your furry baby on a walk, welcome them into my apartment and/or drop in and see how they are doing!
“We love Katie, she’s watched our dogs and cat a few times. She always keeps us in the loop, sends pictures daily, takes the dogs to the park, and leaves a clean house behind. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Jasper is reliable, sends you pictures of your babies to keep you at ease. He always goes above and beyond for our family. We’re so happy we welcomed Jasper into our home and family.”
“Bernajah is amazing!!! I booked her to house sit for my 100lb pitbull mix and our experience was nothing short of amazing!!! My baby suffers w/ separation anxiety and Bernajah did an amazing job of ensuring Sky didn’t feel alone and was well taken care of. I received pics and updates throughout the stay to make me feel more at ease (which I appreciate). If you’re looking for a sitter that you can trust, book Bernajah! 10s across the board”

“Besaida is wonderful with our girls! She’s very prompt, provides meaningful communication and pictures of the dogs while we are away. She always leaves the house in excellent condition.”

“This is our first time using a petsitter. I was pretty nervous. I have to tell you having our 4 dogs in their own home being cared for is a gamechanger. Jensen was on time and my dogs.loved him. He was polite and the house was in good shape when we got home. Most of all my.dogs were calm.and happy when we got back which is the best.part and that tells.me that they liked him! Thank you for caring for them and taking care of them while we were away. I would highly recommend him for your dogs.”

My two dogs are total opposites in personality and she made sure to spend time with each dog in the way that they like to! Haley will always be our go-to gal!!”

Autumn is absolutely fantastic! We needed someone to stay at our house for a week with our cat and older dog (almost 14) and Autumn was fast to respond to me. When she visited, her attention went immediately to the pets, which shows me she cares about the animals. The entire time she house and pet sit for us she was responsible and professional. She sent photos to reassure us and checked in with me every day. We have been through a few pet sitters in the past, and none match up to Autumn. Hoping she will be free for all our future travel. You can tell she really loves animals.
Lucy did such an amazing job! She was so attentive to every last detail and didn’t seem to have any trouble with our two big dogs! She really went above and beyond to communicate with me and even was able to stay a few extra hours when we had something unexpected come up. I will for sure be requesting her if we ever need a sitter again!

Ashley spent her days off of work to house and dog sit for us in our home. I received picture updates and she followed my 3 dogs routines to a T. I have never left my dogs home before (in 8 years) but meeting her helped ease my fears. I just knew they would be in good hands with her! While we were away, we got caught in an ice storm and couldn't travel home on-time but she was more than willing to extend the booking. It was all such an easy process and I will definitely be using her again in the future!

Dorian was AMAZING! I wish I could leave 10 stars! Lucky loved his time with him and I got great pictures and videos of their time together! If I’m ever in the area again Dorian will 100% be on speed dial! It was a pleasure meeting him and I was confident Lucky was in great hands!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weracoba Heights walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weracoba Heights maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weracoba Heights choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
