“Amy was incredibly sweet and took great care of my cat. My cat ran right up to Amy when they first met and immediately loved her. She followed all the instructions perfectly!”

About: I’ve mostly only ever helped friends and neighbors with their pets. This is cats, dogs and sometimes plants! Last dog I watched for two weeks was on seizure medication and I was in charge of medication. I follow instructions very well! And ask questions! Looking to help with evening walks or feeding! I work until 3 everyday and love to help people. I don’t have a pet right now so I want to help others with theirs:) I know I’m a stranger. I respect their house and that I’m in their territory. I listen to the client and sometimes just too many updates

“Stephany is kind, reliable, and professional. She cleaned up a litter mess and also just made sure the litter boxes were clean and not just emptied. It’s that extra effort I really appreciate. My cat is also pretty picky, has hidden from a lot of Rovers but she loves Stephany’s kindness!”

“Jenna and Jason did a wonderful job caring for my sweet dog. They were on time, very kind, and asked all the right questions. My dog can be kind of skiddish, but they made her feel very comfortable. I will absolutely be asking them again to watch our sweet pup.”

“Chrystina went above and beyond for my cats! I felt like I had kind of a lot of instructions, but she followed them completely to the letter. In addition, she did some extra stuff like sweeping up and she even fixed a scratching post. I will definitely be reaching out to her next time I need a pet sitter.”

“Elisha was on time, well organized and provided regular updates with lots of photos and information on how our pup was doing! I could tell that she has lots of experience handling dogs, and did really well at handling our super high energy dog, even going out of her way to get him some exercise during bad weather. We would definitely book again!”

“Alyssa is absolutely wonderful with taking care of my dogs and letting them out while I’m at work on nights! I would Highly recommend her. She is punctual, friendly, and my Dogs love her! If you want someone to trust and is highly reliable, I recommend Alyssa!”
“Taylor really helped me out last minute. She was very kind and took great care of my 2 cats. They were very happy when I got home and everything was taken care of and tidy in my absence!”

“I had to alter times and our reservation a couple of times and Sydney was gracious and flexible . It was our first time working together and I hope we can do this again soon .”

“Sydney is an amazing pet sitter. My bird doesn’t like many women but came to sit on her shoulder right away. She was able to come check on Ricky kind of last minute New Year’s week and I’m so glad she was available.”

“Noel was absolutely wonderful taking care of our dog, Ursula, during her drop in visits while we were away. She provided thoughtful updates and plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our favorite part was seeing Ursula’s silly personality shine through in the pictures. It was clear she felt comfortable, happy, and had so much fun with Noel. We came home to a happy, well cared for pup and could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely book with Noel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable Rover.”

“Mariah took such great care of our Annie girl while we were away! She was very communicative and helpful and sent lots of photos and videos. I'm convinced Annie was a little disappointed when we walked through the door and not Mariah LOL!! We would absolutely choose her again to take care of Annie the next time we're away!”

“Alyssa is very responsive and helpful when I screwed up a booking in the app. She drops in right when she said she would and sends a nice visit card. We are happy to have found her!”

About: Animal lover alert! I have a deep love and connection for all living things, especially cats and dogs. I currently have three, yes THREE, cats of my own. I grew up with very large dogs, and spent a lot of my free time sitting for friends and family. I have experience with baby animal care, including bottle feeding kittens. I have the patience and steady hand for seniors and animals that require more care. I’m not afraid to administer medication or handle behavioral issues. I am responsible, knowledgeable, and have a keen eye for detail. Above all, I love learning and spending time with pets! My schedule is currently quite flexible during the weekdays, and weekends are open for more involved care. Currently, my part time job allows me to adjust my schedule weekly, sometimes daily, since our work is project based. I have the ability to go on day-of walks or quick drop ins on demand depending on the day and time. Your house, your rules! I can accommodate whatever needs are necessary based on the type of pet you have and how your home is set up. I’m happy to uphold any routine! Special instructions are my speciality.
About: In addition to having my own dog, I've provided care for family and friends’ dogs for over 8 years. Further, I am a therapist and have completed over 2 years of “Canine Good Citizen” therapy-dog trainings with my dog, so I feel comfortable using reinforcement-based training techniques with dogs of all ages to help increase wanted behaviors. I live for my dog’s happiness and love doing anything that brings a smile to his face, including walks, hikes, and playdates. Please consider allowing me to provide your dog with enthusiastic love and attention, in addition to time with my pup if your dog would enjoy company. I currently work 3 days a week: on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. As a result, each week I have 4 full days available (Thursday - Sunday) to spend time with your babies! Thus, I am available for dog walks, cat visits, and boarding on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. For boarding, I would need your pet to be picked up by Sunday evening. For boarding and dog walks, I have one very friendly dog to keep your pet company! Within my home, I allow pets on all furniture, so your baby will be allowed to rest on various comfortable surfaces. I also have separate rooms in case pets require solo meal times. If pets wish for outdoor time (other than during walks), I have an enclosed balcony with a raised, waterproof pet bed.
“Stephanie checked in on my *very particular* cats while I was away on vacation. In addition to attending to all of their basic needs, she went above and beyond by playing with them, bringing in the mail, and watering my plants. Her care and support were evident in the adorable pictures she sent, which were very much appreciated. I highly recommend Stephanie for her exceptional cat care and genuine love for animals. Thanks Stephanie!”

About: Stay at home doggie dad. Love all pets but dogs are the best. They are our kids and they are spoiled just like a that. They are the only thing we think about. Morning, noon or night they are by our side. Our babies. Never physical punishment but they do get time outs in their kennels if they have been misbehaving. We have a very open floor plan in the house which they run around and the back door is always open for them to come in and out. The back yard is very large with trees and shrubs that they play in and around. It is a fully fenced six foot enclosed yard with plenty of room to roam or run. Last of all no neighbor dogs to annoy them.

Carlie always takes the most amazing care of my cats when I’m away! I get detailed updates and plenty of pictures of them which puts my mind at ease knowing she’s the one watching them. She’s also able to give my cat his medicine even when he’s feeling picky. Would definitely recommend.

Marina was my first pet sitter, and left me feeling at ease. She took tons of pictures of my cat while I was gone, left my place in the same condition, wrote detailed notes about how my cat was doing, and even brought in a package that was delivered while I was out. I’ll be rebooking with her next time I take a trip.

Jenny really spent time with my cat! I have had other cat sitters (from Rover) who spent 5 or 10 minutes, but Jenny spent 25-30 minutes to give my cat some play time and lots of love. I have a camera on my front door so I know how long the sitter stays. Jenny sent regular updates and was easy to work with.

Laura checked on our cat while we were away during the holidays. Laura is very responsive to all communication. She provided daily updates with pictures (even though our cat is super shy). It was great knowing that someone was checking on him every day. Laura, thank you so much for taking care of Fez!
McKenna took great care of our 2 cats while we were out of town. She fed them, played with them, and gave them attention. She left our house just as clean as when we left and took care of a excited eater's vomit. The cats love having her visit and we know they are in good hands.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Welby. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
