“I had booked Jennifer to walk my dog Daisy, twice a day for 5 days. On the first day, Daisy wouldn't come near her. She then spent the whole time coaxing her and on the second day she was able to put the leash around her. She is very gentle and a sweetheart. Little did she knew I was watching her on camera ? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER”

“For a first time, Roovwr user, Daniel was excellent. Immediately responded great with the communication the whole time and was even easy on my dog for being a first time Rover user. Will definitely use again.”

About: I have been a life-long pet owner. I love hanging out with animals, getting to know their nature and offering them fun playtime and comfort. I am in freelance, so I make my own daily and weekly schedule most of the time. I am able to work around my other jobs to meet your pets when you need. After a calm greeting, I can easily follow any routine needed, whether that is taking a walk, playing with toys, or simply checking in on them. I always want to make sure they are receiving the care they need.
About: I've been living in a pet-filled household since I was born. I've seen 3 puppies grow into seniors, and I'm currently living in a 3 pet household: senior black lab, baby doodle, and a bossy tuxedo cat. I've learned the work of taking care of a pet since I was little, but more so in the last several years I've really taken on a lot more responsibility. I love caring for pets and learning their own unique habits and personalities. I'm currently a full-time college student and looking to use this as a way to make some money while in college. I have a car and no problem with transportation, my schedule varies but I'm almost always available to take care of any pets. In my own home, we have a big backyard as well as a fenced in patio if the pets want to sit outside. They have their own crates and food bowls as well, although sometimes they sneak into the crate together. I'm someone who follows directions to a T, and if I don't understand something I will always clarify.
“Kevin is so sweet, calm and accommodating. I have a very energetic standard poodle that tends to get over excited on walk but with Kevin she's so chill and is able to get her wiggles out with out acting crazy. We will definitely keep using Kevin whenever he's available!”

“Amazing dog walker! She has helped me last minute 2 times already and I feel fully confident letting her in my house and completing the “task/walk”. She knows how to deal with hyper dogs and doesn’t get overwhelmed by it.”

My goal is simple: 👉 your peace of mind and your pet’s comfort ✔️ Responsible & detail-oriented ✔️ Regular updates (photos) & easy communication ✔️ Flexible schedule ✔️ Individual care based on your pet’s needs Experienced with different dog personalities✅ Your pet will be fed and walked as many times as you say. About: I have 3 dogs of my own and I have always been an animal lover. I also love to exercise so dog walking is perfect for me. I have trained my dogs to understand their basic commands and they have excelled. I also am a volunteer at the animal shelter so I have worked with all kinds of dogs throughout different ages. I work from 9-4 Monday-Friday which would allow for me to do the later shifts when walking or watching a dog. On the Weekends I am available all day usually because that is my time off from my Daycare Job. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, my top priority is ensuring their safety and comfort within a familiar, stress-free environment. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and preferred play or rest habits, to maintain consistency and reduce anxiety. I take the time to understand the layout of the home and make sure any potentially hazardous items—like loose wires, open trash bins, or accessible medications—are safely out of reach. I always double-check that doors, gates, and fences are secure before and after outdoor time. When walking, I use only the client-approved leashes, harnesses, or other safety gear and avoid unfamiliar or overly busy areas unless instructed otherwise. I also keep a close eye on the dog’s behavior and body language to quickly catch signs of stress or discomfort. Clear communication with the owner is essential—I provide regular updates and follow all instructions carefully, including dietary needs and any medications. My goal is to ensure every dog feels safe, secure, and loved in the comfort of their own home.

About: I am a military veteran with a background as a Military Police officer and K9 handler, with over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have worked with working breeds, high-energy dogs, and family pets, providing daily care such as feeding, basic medication administration, leash handling, enrichment, and structured routines. I am comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and dogs that benefit from consistent boundaries and positive reinforcement. My K9 experience has strengthened my situational awareness, patience, and ability to read animal behavior to ensure safe, calm, and positive interactions. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I drop my son off at daycare at 8:30 AM and pick him up at 5:00 PM. I can also provide service after 8:00 PM if night checks are needed. I am available for walks, drop‑ins, check‑ins, and extended care at any time between those hours and late nights. My consistent weekday availability allows me to maintain reliable routines and provide focused, unrushed care. Safety is my top priority. I follow all owner instructions closely, maintain secure leash handling, and remain aware of surroundings during walks and visits. In clients’ homes, I respect boundaries, keep spaces clean, and ensure doors, gates, and crates are properly secured. My law enforcement and K9 background has trained me to anticipate risks, remain calm, and make sound decisions to keep pets safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
