“Jennifer did an amazing job doing visits with my pups and gave me ease of mine while I was out of the country. She was able to gain trust with my one scared pup and really loved on the pups with update photos that gave me lots of reassurance of knowing they were well. Highly recommend!”
About: I understand your pets are your babies and they need to be treated as such! I’m ready to do any task so matter how small or silly it may seem with my full heart and I can’t wait to meet everyone’s fur babies!! I also have extensive training and research in animal behavior and how to react to it and occasionally work at a doggy daycare. And I have grown up around animals and know how to handle reptiles, birds, rabbits, and other common pets. Pets are always welcome in my weekly routine! I’m a university student and I have classes 2 days during the week so I have plenty of time to take care of your babies! I also take care of the pets of my family and friends whenever they’re away and have boarded and does a home stay! I would approach the pet calmly using a calm voice and positive reinforcement to provide a loving relationship with them. I would also do everything I could to make them more comfortable, whether it be doing something silly that’s in their daily routine or give them extra special attention. I will always try my best to help them feel safe and taken care of!

About: I have been a life-long pet owner. I love hanging out with animals, getting to know their nature and offering them fun playtime and comfort. I am in freelance, so I make my own daily and weekly schedule most of the time. I am able to work around my other jobs to meet your pets when you need. After a calm greeting, I can easily follow any routine needed, whether that is taking a walk, playing with toys, or simply checking in on them. I always want to make sure they are receiving the care they need.

“Kayla went above and beyond to care for my Chloe while I was away. She asked for specifics on what the visit should entail, and made sure to deliver on that to a T. Her detailed recaps of their time together was so nice, and she is also a great photographer! She’s punctual, dependable, and so caring. It allowed me great peace of mind to know my baby was well taken care of. I’ll definitely be booking with Kayla for next time. Thank you!”

“As the mom of two shy and sometimes skittish cats, I hesitated to introduce a new pet sitter. However, after a recommendation from a friend, I contacted Caroline. She set up a meet and greet and spent extra time with the cats to insure they were comfortable with her. She proved to be a trustworthy and reliable sitter and I would not hesitate to use her services again or to recommend her to other cat parents. Thank you Caroline for your excellent care and regular and detailed updates with lots of pictures!”

“Ashley was incredibly prompt with every visit. Her notes and photos from her visits were thorough and put my mind at ease while away. She also helped bring packages in from our porch which was an added bonus while we were away. I would highly recommend her services!”

About: I love dogs more than I love actual people. About 3 years ago I started working at a doggy daycare and I had the best experience. Apart from that I've had dogs since I was born. I know how to give professional baths and some types of haircuts. I used to train dogs but I haven't had much experience. I take care of my own pets all day. When I move I won't have a job so if I need to stay with your dog all day I can accommodate that I have a lot of experience handling all types of dogs including reactive. So I can change the way I work to give your dog what they need
“I really appreciate her attention to their behavior and wellbeing! I normally am afraid to leave my cats but she made me a lot more comfortable knowing they’ve been thriving and sends lots up through updates!”

About: I have taken care of all size dogs. Often pet sitting for friends and family I have owned 3dogs 2 birds. I am big dog person. However cats love me sometimes without me trying! But when I’m pet sitting I spend time making sure they get good food exercise and loving! I can work any schedule weekends nights or midday etc, into my routine especially during summer. If you have a question or request just ask! I always create safe areas for pets often making sure to close any unnecessary areas or areas with valuables. When outside I check fences and entry ways before allowing the pets out. If walking I keep a shorter leash making sure they remain safe.
“Lauren was very responsive and wonderful at communicating during each of her drop in visits. Our cats warmed up to her and she was great at accommodating our requests, definitely going to rebook when needed next!”

About: I’m experienced in taking care of dogs that are very old or very young. I am a gentle and caring dog groomer as well. You can rely on me to be there for you and your pets. I try to pet sit whenever I am free. I have been in the pet industry for 4 years so I am quite familiar with what it takes to take care of our furry friends. As of right now I do not have my own place to offer boarding. I care for your pets by letting them outside every two hours, feeding them on their regular schedule. I will provide basic training if you wish to. I will keep an eye on your pet to make sure they don’t get into things.

I have experience with small, medium and large dogs, I grew up with a Doberman pincher and a Great Dane, so big dogs don’t scare me. Jennifer was absolutely wonderful with Toby and Francesca. My cats can both be shy, but they warmed up to her so quickly. I came home to two very content, happy cats, which says everything! Knowing they were loved and cared for while I was away gave me such peace of mind. I’m so very grateful to Jennifer and would absolutely have her care for them again. 🤍🐾

Alexei is a great pet sitter. She cared for my Beanie girl while I was out of town and she did a great job. My kitty was so happy to see her every day. Alexei was flexible, attentive, and most of all very responsive. Answered any of my questions and followed Beans routine very carefully. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wedgefield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
