“It was my first time leaving my cat with a sitter, but Nemo loved being with Coryn! She consistently updated me and was very responsive. Thank you for taking such good care of Nemo!”

“Emma was a great communicator and sent so many wonderful pictures. Loved getting to meet and chat about my two cats and their personalities before leaving for a week. She took such great care of them, definitely plan to book with Emma in the future.”

“Aaron is an excellent pet sitter. He watched our three cats for a week. He communicated well and gave frequent updates. He also took great care of our house. I wouldn’t hesitate to have him care for our cats and house again.”

“Lucy did a great job taking care of my babies ( 2 cats). They are street rescues and scared of anyone but me. But they came out to eat for Lucy and even let her pet them! And the most timid one let Lucy give her her pill-- I didn't expect that! Lucy clearly has a way with animals and I will definitely use her again and again!”

“Michaelle was super responsive, great at communicating, and did an excellent job checking in on my two cats. My cat Edna is skittish and mistrustful of anyone not living in the house, but even she readily accepted food and attention from her when she came to visit! I would definitely hire her again in the future to look in on them when we're out of town.”

About: I have grown up around animals my entire life and I’ve always had a passion for helping them. I used to pet sit for neighbors often when I was younger. I have a particular love for cats, and I would do anything for them! It can be hard to find a person to watch your cat or even exotic pet, but that’s what I’m aiming to help people with! I have almost 6 years of clinical animal care technician and shelter experience so I am well trained with animals with medical issues. I have worked with pets of all kinds and all ages with different needs. I have done everything from bottle feeding to giving senior animals insulin or whatever else they may need. I am Fear Free certified as well. I recently moved to the area and am looking for work. Caring for pets is what I know and love. If I get a more steady job, my availability may lessen. I understand that pets can be confused by new people coming into their home to take care of them, but I am well versed in animal behavior and would never do anything to make your pet uncomfortable. I will take the time to get to know your pet and assist them with whatever they may need. I currently do not live in a situation where I can petsit other people’s pets in my own home unfortunately.

About: Hello there, I take caring exceptional care of animals seriously. I made it my whole job lol! I am attuned to ensuring every animal is taken care of emotionally, mentally and physically. I have 13 years of experience in both Western and Eastern medicine for large and small animals. I know how important it is to make sure your animal is having the best time with their sitter and that they look forward to it! I am an animal communicator and facilitate quantum energy healing sessions for animals as my life purpose. My schedule is flexible. Taking care of my animals is my daily life. I have managed ranches with dog care, horse boarding and a therapeutic equine program for children. Years later I am still living my passion for keeping animals happy and healthy. Walks: I provide the best walks for pups around their neighborhood. If your pup enjoys a sweet pal, I have my trustworthy and gentle dog Gracie to them to bond with! Day Care: Your animal enjoys spending quality time with an empathetic care taker and fun walks with Gracie. For kitties: Your cat will have a safe and fun place to adventure around while receiving lots of love!

“Cannot recommend Allison ENOUGH!! My sweet girl Winnie is a senior dog that’s veeery shy. I have a hard time finding someone that she’ll trust to take her outside to go potty. That being said, Allison took amazing care of her and was so patient!! So much so, that Winnie eventually let her take her outside which is a BIG deal for her! Allison is very knowledgeable and dependable when it comes to pet care!!”

About: I recently moved to Davis without my pets (a golden retriever and a cat) so I am looking for way to be around animals to get some snuggles. I have had dogs and cats as pets since I was a child and have seen them through being young all the way to their senior lives. I realize all pets are different and unique and I look forward to learning your pet’s personality and needs! Cheers! I have a flexible schedule right now and can help check on your pets as needed. I am better set up for mornings or evenings. I can help you with whatever your animals needs are. If they need to run off some energy in the yard with fetch I’m your gal. Or maybe your pet needs some snuggles while home alone, I’m also your gal!

About: Hi there! I’m back on Rover after taking a break to focus on school. I’ve had extensive experience caring for dogs; I spent a year working at a local rescue. I worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and had experience walking, bathing, feeding (including giving meds) and of course, playing with dogs. Currently I look after friends and family members’ dogs. I don’t have a dog of my own yet, so nothing would make me happier than getting the opportunity to care for yours! I also have experience caring for cats; I lived with two wonderful cats for a year and spent a lot of time caring for and cuddling with them! I have a very flexible schedule; I am generally available to care for your pet Mondays-Thursdays and occasionally on Fridays and weekends as well. Feel free to message me about scheduling! Generally, I like to make sure that each dog is comfortable by keeping a clean space and providing consistent potty breaks, meals, and walks. Snuggles and belly/head rubs are also provided as desired :) Of course, every owner has unique preferences/situations, so I do make note of and follow any special instructions/accommodations. Safety is super important, so I like to pay attention to a dog’s behavior and how they are reacting to their environment so I can adjust accordingly when necessary, such as crossing the street to avoid a potentially unsafe interaction with another dog.

“Tate was an exceptional petsitter going above and beyond to help us out. We forgot our tickets to a show at home and she was able to help us out by taking pictures of them. She also sent us lots of pictures of our cats while we were away. We came back and I could tell the cats had been taken care of very well. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I have experience owning and caring for dogs since the third grade. I have experience feeding, grooming, bathing, playing, walking, jogging, running, and basic training (sit, stay, down, leave it, paw, high-five, heel, leash training) with dogs and puppies of all ages. I also have experience training my own service dog when I was in undergrad. I also have a bachelor’s in animal science, and have hands on experience with handling dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and hamsters. One thing I do care about is providing quality service to ensure that the pet feels at home meanwhile missing their owners. I’m currently looking for a new job so I have a lot of flexibility with my current schedule. I am available to board Fridays through Sundays. I am available to house sit/pet sit weekdays and weekends. Since I’m currently a student taking online classes and not working, I have flexible availability. I am open to make any accommodations in regards to rescheduling or extending a stay for clients that are able to provide me a 24-48 hour notice. I like to communicate with my clients about any specific needs or concerns that I would need to know as a caretaker. Knowing the personality, age, medical needs, tips and tricks, favorite snacks, and as many details about your pet is valuable information for me. I want to ensure that all needs for the client and the pet is met. I value safety and trust, which I find very important to build in a client-based environment.

“Jenna is an incredibly nice woman who took wonderful care of my cat while I was gone. She was super professional, prompt, communicative, and was committed to following care instructions super closely. It was also apparent that she loves animals, and my cat seemed to love her, too. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust Jenna with my fur baby again!”

About: Growing up with Vets as parents, animals have been a huge part of my life. Whether it’s walking your dog or house sitting, i’m there. Hey! I'm Zach Walsh. I'm a recent college graduate who is currently seeking employment in my desired field but am having some troubles finding a full time job, so looking to make some extra cash. I have a lifelong love for animals. Growing up in a family of veterinarians, I've been surrounded by pets and animal care my entire life. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for your furry family members, and I would be honored to help. I am available for dropping in and walking your dog or even staying the night and house sitting. I currently have 4 dogs and 3 cats. All are well taken care of and dogs are walked daily. Throughout my life, retrievers have been a big part of my life, most of my experience is with goldens and labs but i’ve walked and house sitted a variety of breeds.

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

“Esmerilda was wonderful. My cat is very shy yet she took to Esmerilda right away. She was able to medicate my cat Jess twice a day without issue. I also got updates regularly both messages and pictures. I highly reccomend her.”

“Allison was a great pet sitter and I would highly recommend her. She was very reliable and I appreciated the photos she sent after visits. I could tell when I returned that our cats were looked after very well. I will definitely seek her out the next time we need a pet sitter.”
