From my loyal Black Lab Doc, playful Mini Aussie Sakura, and regal Siberian cat Louis, to my tiny but demanding pea puffers, I’ve built a life surrounded by animals, learning how to meet their needs with patience, compassion, and respect. I bring the same sense of care and responsibility to pet sitting that I carried in my service as a U.S. Navy Veteran, and now as a Pre-Med Biology student. When I’m not studying or volunteering with the Belle Isle Conservancy, I’m often biking around Detroit or spending time with animals. They’re a grounding and joyful part of my life. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are my top priority. Whether they need a cuddle buddy, a calm presence, or a structured routine while you’re away, I’m here to treat them like family. My schedule is generally open and flexible, and I do my best to accommodate the unique needs of each pet and their family. While I occasionally travel, I only accept bookings when I know I can fully commit to your pet’s care. When I’m with your animals, they have my full attention, I stick to their routines, respect their comfort levels, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for every step of the way. When I enter someone’s home, I treat the space with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I always aim to leave things just as I found them, if not a little tidier. I also take time to scan the environment for anything that could pose a risk or distraction to your pet, making sure the space stays safe, calm, and just the way you left it. Your home and your pet’s routine are in good hands.

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! I am currently available mornings, afternoons, and nights M-F and weekends. I am a teacher with lots of spare time during the summer! I prefer mornings and nights for walks to prevent your pets from overheating. I currently do not offer boarding for pets in my home. I aim to respect your home and leave it cleaner than I found it! I'm happy to clean pet bowls, vacuum pet beds, etc.
