“Sarah was great! She was our first experience using the Rover app and it couldn’t have gone better. We scheduled her three days out, met her the next day, and then she was over checking on our dog the day after - what a quick and easy process! Sarah left us pictures and details of how the visit went and made sure to follow some instructions we left for her (our dog was having stomach issues at the time). Would recommend!”

“Anyone looking for a awesome person to take care of your pets, I would highly recommend her, especially after the Blizzard 2026 and being out of town and she made it to my pets and made sure they were safe and taken care off! Thank you!”

“Christy is a wonderful sitter. Our pets warmed up to her immediately. We felt completely comfortable with her watching our pets. She seems very knowledgeable about dog behavior. She was very flexible with the schedule when we needed to adjust the boarding pickup time. We will definitely consider Christy in the future for our pets.”

About: I’ve raised and trained my two German shepherd dogs since I was 10, and cared for my senior border collie in her old age. I’ve also watched over and trained family friends dogs :) I’m currently part-time so my schedule is flexible on most days after two p.m, with the exception of Wednesday, which I am free to hang with your dog/cat whenever I’m needed! Schedule may vary :) I would not be able to offer boarding at my home. I believe in honesty being the best policy and should my boarding be requested in your home you will find it just how you left:)
“Cali and Skylar were amazing. One of our pups is nervous around strangers and they were okay with taking some time to get to know him and executed the care plan perfectly. We will definitely be booking with them again!”

I’m new to Rover and I want to walk your dog, so I make it affordable 🤗 Talk soon 🐾 I work full time from 8-430 M-F. Whether you’re stuck at the office, need to cart the kiddos around, or just don’t have the energy, I am available for after work walks any day of the week. I try to make every walk an adventure! I am more flexible on hours on the weekends and holidays. No in-home services are offered at this time. All dog walks will take place in your neighborhood, unless otherwise specified. I follow directions easily for entry/exit if you’re not home.

“I recently hired Lara to take care of my cats while I was away, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very beginning, Lara was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout the time I was gone, Lara provided regular updates, including photos and notes about how my cats were doing. The description was so personalized and clearly showed how much she loved caring for them. I also got a personalized Mother’s Day card with my kitties on the card which was an icing on the cake. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that my cats were in such capable and caring hands. I look forward to working with Lara again in future. Thank you Lara.”

“Used Rover for the first time with Julia as our sitter. She was wonderful and made our first time using this service very comfortable. She sent us lots of pictures and was very attentive to our dogs. Would definitely recommend her to others.”

“We were very pleased with the care Colleen gave our puppy. She fed walked and played with her. We especially enjoyed the pictures and video she sent us of the puppy. She is reliable and trustworthy. We hope she is available the next time we need someone.”

“Syd was absolutely phenomenal with our 2 dogs. One is very energetic and walks well on-leash, the other is older and just loves-love. Myself and both pups were very happy with her services.”

“This is the first time using Rover and Cassidy was wonderful at calming out nerves. She came and did a meet and greet with our fur babies last week and was right on time for both drop in visits and gave wonderful updates and pics of both. I will definitely be requesting Cassidy for additional drop ins in the future!”

About: I worked at a dog daycare and boarding place for 2 years. I have looked over and cared for puppies to senior dogs including meds and special care such as epilepsy, injuries, aggression, and much more. I also have trained my own dogs and many friends dogs. I trained my aussie in agility and my old lab in dock diving and duck hunting. I love all dogs regardless of background, breed, size, and shape. I have also worked with delivering and the aftercare of brand new puppies! I recently got laid off, so I have plenty of free time for yours and my pet! I have a high energy Australian Shepherd, so proper dog care takes up a lot of my time! I will always put your pup first and make sure he/she is happy, healthy, and loving his/her vacation from everyday life. I usually take my own on a walk every morning and would be so excited to bring a new friend with around the neighborhood. I also like to go over training and give lots of love and high-quality treats!

Lara was so great with my senior dog. I love that she got her outside in the sunshine when she was able. No issues with a specific medication schedule. The visit recap notes with photos/video really eased my anxiety. I can tell Lara loves animals and it made me feel so much better to have her taking care of my dog. I have already shared her profile and recommended to others.

I booked Kaitlyn last minute the week before my needed dog sitting after realizing my regular sitter moved out of town. She was available to meet the dogs before the sitting and gave descriptions of how each visit went. I will be booking again in the future. Thanks again!

Stephanie is a wonderful person and dog sitter/walker! From the moment I met her I could tell that she’s a responsible, reliable, and caring person who has a deep love for animals. She kept great communication and took amazing care of my dog. It’s so nice having someone to rely on when I can’t be there! 🐶🐾🦴

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
