“Colleen is simply phenomenal. With three energetic dogs who have special diets—including one on daily meds—we were initially worried about finding someone who could handle their needs. But Colleen has exceeded all expectations and more. Her level of care, attention to detail, and natural rapport with our pups is truly remarkable. Whether we're away for a long weekend or an extended vacation, we always leave with complete peace of mind knowing that our dogs are in the very best of hands. Colleen's ability to manage multiple dogs with such ease and grace is a testament to her exceptional skills as a pet sitter. We're so grateful for her outstanding service and can't recommend her highly enough!”

“Very responsive and responsible. The pups did great and it was a lifesaver to have Sarah come let them out. I highly recommend Sarah and will likely be booking in the future.”

“I recently hired Lara to take care of my cats while I was away, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very beginning, Lara was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout the time I was gone, Lara provided regular updates, including photos and notes about how my cats were doing. The description was so personalized and clearly showed how much she loved caring for them. I also got a personalized Mother’s Day card with my kitties on the card which was an icing on the cake. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that my cats were in such capable and caring hands. I look forward to working with Lara again in future. Thank you Lara.”

“Cali was absolutely wonderful with our boy. Many photos and updates beyond just what the app requires and went above and beyond to tucker him out each drop in visit. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for great drop in care and for their pet to feel cared for.”

“The absolute best! We love having Christy. She is extremely caring, communicative, and detail oriented. We plan on having Christy back in the future. Highly recommended and extremely professional. Thank you Christy!”

“Our dog had a seizure in his kennel before Nicole arrived for her visit. Nicole immediately let us know and did a great job of cleaning up. She was able to extend her stay to make sure our dog was OK before she left. This was very comforting to our dog and ourselves.”

“We were visiting in Wausau for a few days and on a last minute basis needed to find someone to check in on our dog Josie and take her out for a walk. Kayla was great! Super responsive and communicative. She sent us a few photos to ensure we could see that all was well with Josie. We would have no hesitation to book again.”

“Responsive, responsible, warm! Jennifer via Rover is fantastic! Thank you for caring for our puppies with love. First time we used Rover --very pleased! Vacation without worry knowing our fur babies could stay in their home environment with visits. Thank you!!”

“This is the first time using Rover and Cassidy was wonderful at calming out nerves. She came and did a meet and greet with our fur babies last week and was right on time for both drop in visits and gave wonderful updates and pics of both. I will definitely be requesting Cassidy for additional drop ins in the future!”

“Syd was absolutely phenomenal with our 2 dogs. One is very energetic and walks well on-leash, the other is older and just loves-love. Myself and both pups were very happy with her services.”

“Julia was great! She did a meet a greet to go over everything and let her out in the time frame I asked for, she even turned on a puppy show for emma while I was away at work. Very nice lady! Would book her again.”

About: I grew up with a variety of pets, and I thoroughly love all kinds of animals! My family had a dog about 19years, and we took care of him from puppy years to old age. I have my own dog, Roxy a collie mix, who I raised by myself from 4mo old and she has learned so much! I am a travel nurse so I’m not from the area and I am free any day that I’m not working! I typically do 3 - 12hr night shifts. Since I am not from the area I cannot take animals into my own place, but I am very flexible and willing to accommodate any way that is needed for you and your pet's needs.
“This was my first time using Rover and Needless to say I was nervous leaving my pet of almost 13 years alone in the care of a sitter I meet with Shania L. About: We've been taking care of select dogs for many years for friends and family, knowing that dog owners tend to worry about their pets when they're away and want someone who understands that and will care for their pets as they would. we've always had dogs until recently, I also photograph dogs for fun. We often board a dog who has seizures and requires medication and have watched other unusual dogs including puppies and dogs still healing from surgery. For many years we volunteered at the local humane society. We have a fenced in yard that our late beagle mix of 18 years regularly tried to escape and repeatedly failed. Dogs in our home are considered guests and are treated as such. I currently work from home, so letting dogs out regularly and giving regular attention is no problem at all. I'm done with work in the afternoon which leaves me plenty of time to get dogs out for exercise and socializing. Dorothy, my wife, also has plenty of daytime open for play time and extra loving. I work from home and regularly take play breaks, Dorothy, my wife is home most days and offers lots of love. We try to get to the dog park now and then on the weekends. We have a modest fenced in back yard with a wooded lot behind us, I walk dogs regularly in several areas. We keep also keep a toybox full of dog toys :-)
“We were very pleased with the care Colleen gave our puppy. She fed walked and played with her. We especially enjoyed the pictures and video she sent us of the puppy. She is reliable and trustworthy. We hope she is available the next time we need someone.”

“Rhonda took very good care of our dogs Rex and Gus while we were out of town. Her visit was timely and she took care of feeding and potty them as instructed. We enjoyed the photos that she sent. Rex and Gus looked very happy. We would highly recommend Rhonda to care for your pets.”

“Stephanie was absolutely wonderful! She was caring and a fabulous sitter! I completely trusted her within our home. She did everything we asked and sent us daily pictures. I would definitely hire her again!!!!!”

Cali was absolutely wonderful with our boy. Many photos and updates beyond just what the app requires and went above and beyond to tucker him out each drop in visit. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for great drop in care and for their pet to feel cared for.

Lara was so great with my senior dog. I love that she got her outside in the sunshine when she was able. No issues with a specific medication schedule. The visit recap notes with photos/video really eased my anxiety. I can tell Lara loves animals and it made me feel so much better to have her taking care of my dog. I have already shared her profile and recommended to others.

I booked Kaitlyn last minute the week before my needed dog sitting after realizing my regular sitter moved out of town. She was available to meet the dogs before the sitting and gave descriptions of how each visit went. I will be booking again in the future. Thanks again!

Stephanie is a wonderful person and dog sitter/walker! From the moment I met her I could tell that she’s a responsible, reliable, and caring person who has a deep love for animals. She kept great communication and took amazing care of my dog. It’s so nice having someone to rely on when I can’t be there! 🐶🐾🦴

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
