About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve worked in a dog boarding/daycare environment, so I’m very comfortable handling multiple dogs at once, reading body language, and making sure every pet stays safe, happy, and well cared for. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, whether that’s high-energy playtime, slow and gentle walks, or just a calm environment with lots of attention. I’m especially mindful of pets who may be nervous, older, or need a little extra patience. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, and any special care needs, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel at ease while you’re away. I also have experience working as a dog bather and would be happy to provide baths during your pet’s stay. This includes a full bath, rinse, and dry to get your pup clean and fresh; however, I do not offer haircuts or grooming trims. I’m comfortable handling dogs during bath time, including those who may be a little nervous, and I always aim to keep the experience as calm and stress-free as possible. I treat every animal like they’re my own and truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I have a very flexible schedule and am available anytime throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m able to adjust to your pet’s routine and needs, whether that means early visits, multiple check-ins, or last-minute bookings. I’m happy to work around what’s best for you and your pet to make sure they get consistent, reliable care. I take safety and trust very seriously when caring for pets in their home environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely and make sure doors, gates, and any entry points are securely closed at all times to keep pets safe. I pay close attention to routines and surroundings so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I’m mindful of each pet’s behavior and body language, and I take steps to prevent stressful or unsafe situations before they happen. Whether it’s managing interactions between pets, keeping a calm environment, or sticking to specific feeding and medication schedules, I make sure every detail is handled with care. I also respect my clients’ homes and privacy. I keep everything clean, organized, and exactly as I found it, and I always communicate clearly and promptly so you feel confident and updated while you’re away.
About: I’ve been around pets most of my life! I currently have two kitty’s of my own and have helped care for my dad’s cats and dogs since I was 11. I’m experienced with feeding, playtime, and giving lots of love and attention. I work Monday through Friday from 8–5, so I’m available early mornings, afternoons during my lunch break, and the rest of the evenings during the week. Weekends are more open, which means your pets get plenty of extra love, playtime, and attention! Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I make sure every pet is cared for, and secure, whether that means giving them space or extra cuddles. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and love I give my own, keeping things clean, safe, and stress-free.
“I love working with Dana so much! She is such a consistent and reliable sitter. It's clear from the picture updates and rover cards that she is fully engaged during her visits with my cats, making sure that their needs are met while I am away. Thank you so much always!”

“Without a doubt Jessica is the person for you! And your pet! She was on time, followed all instructions & loved our pet 100% we did not even meet get face to face. Jessica followed specific written instructions & did it 100% on task - we have cameras inside & she definitely can be trusted sight unseen. Thank you so very much for being there when we needed you.”

“Tessa is always on time, respectful of our home, goes above and beyond, sends tons of pictures, great with communication and details with check ins. She is wonderful and we appreciate her!”

“Justin and his family are amazing. Had some naughty puppies get into cookies right before leaving the country. Needed someone last minute to not just drop in, but take them to the vet and handle more blood tests. They jumped right in and I’m so grateful for them.”

“Could not have asked for better care for my 2 cats. Very communicative, took actual notes during the meet and greet, totally conscientious and thoughtful. Left such detailed notes for each visit and numerous pictures that made me feel perfectly at ease being away. Could not recommend any higher, sincerely.”

“Morgan was wonderful with our elderly dog. She even helped with a few other tasks, like feeding the fish. She was very communicative. Most of all, my dog really liked her. This is the first time I haven't been worried about leaving Tank or returned home in a panic. She is fantastic!”

About: I have experience caring for pets both personally and through my work at an animal shelter. I regularly care for friends’ pets, which has given me experience with feeding, walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need. I also work at an animal shelter, where I have hands-on experience with animals of many different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I truly love working with animals and will treat your pets with the same care and attention I would want for my own! I work part time and only have a few college classes, so I have lots of free time. I’m available to check in on your pets or take your dog for a walk anytime after 2:00 PM Monday–Thursday and anytime after 12:00 PM on Saturdays. The safety and comfort of your pets is always my top priority. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs so they feel comfortable while you’re away. My experience working at an animal shelter has taught me how to safely handle animals of different sizes, ages, breeds, and temperaments. When caring for pets in your home, I will also treat your home with respect and make sure everything is left clean and secure.

“Kaydince did an excellent job caring for our 2 young cats. Our cat that is scared of most people came out of hiding and socialized with her during every visit. Kaydince has excellent response time when communicating and was patient with my overabundance of concerns and instructions.”

“So grateful that Katie was able to come by last minute and spend some time with our dog while we were visiting her town. I was grateful for the pictures and that I knew my dog had some snuggles while we were gone that day.”

About: Hi! I’m Becca, and my family and I are huge animal lovers. We live an active, outdoor-loving lifestyle. We do lots of walks, hikes, park visits and backyard play. Your pet will fit right in with our busy, loving home! Experience & Care I have years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. I’m patient, confident, and comfortable with everything from energetic pups to older dogs who need a gentler pace. I grew up on a ranch raising dogs, cats, goats, horses, chickens, and much much more. The best days growing up were taking dogs through the pastures while riding beside them on my favorite horse named “Fred.” We bred and trained Australian shepherds, so I have a soft spot for those fluffy ones :) My love and passion for farm life carried me through college as I got my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I have a fenced in backyard that has lots of shade, where your dog can run and play. I love going for walks and playing fetch!
About: Not only have I raised and kept animals all my life, including my own bundle of cats and a dog that I currently call family, I have also worked several years professionally caring for animals in day cares, boarding houses, and even get clinics. I am well versed in making sure animals get their medicine as they are required, and just ensuring the animals are happy and comfortable. I currently work evenings five days a week, starting at 5pm. But that means I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies during the day! I am not able to do any boarding (I currently house 4 cats and a dog), but I am very flexible with following any guidelines or requests! I am able to administer pills to both cats and dogs, and love to spend time either cuddling or playing with animals.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Washington
Desiree is a super dog walker! She walked my 50+ lb Bernedoddle, Odie for the past few months while I recovered from hip surgery. Odie always got excited when he knew Desiree was on her way to walk him! Desiree is dependable and has such a sweet personality! I knew she truly cared for Odie! Do not hesitate to request her!

Isabella was extremely thorough and communicative, always letting me know when she was headed over and how the cats were doing. She sent photos, called when she had questions, and made sure to have all the details clear and correct. She even came back on an extra unscheduled visit to make sure one of my cats with an eye problem was doing okay. I would highly recommend her!

Christina has been thoroughly attentive and passionate throughout her time in my home and has sent extensive proof. She went the extra mile for us without being asked multiple times and it feels like we can't pay her enough for all she does. Wonderful sitter for any kind of pet. <3

Maaike was so caring with my anxious little Tank. She did such a great job making him feel comfortable and making sure he was well cared for and happy. I especially appreciated her for filling in last minute after 2 other sitters canceled. Would absolutely book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
