“Angela was great! Our girls were treated like queens, Angela sent pictures of them laying on their own pads. Also took them for a walk. In the morning before it was too hot. Would highly recommend and would use again when in UT.”

“Second time using Jennifer and it was awesome! My dogs love her! They always come home happy (vs the other boarding places, they come home scared and nervous.) can’t wait to use you again!”

“The Hintons accommodated my early drop off and my sometimes rowdy puppy so flawlessly! So thankful to have found them. My puppy is happy and exhausted from playing all day. I will definitely use them again when we need dog sitting! Thank you so much!”

“Bailey had a great time with Cindy & the pups. This was our 1st time with Doggy Day Care through Rover and it was a very positive experience. We plan to have Cindy watch her when we go on vacation and feel at ease knowing that she will be well taken care of!”

“Here’s a review you could post on Rover: “I want to thank Amy for taking such great care of my puppy, Blu, for the day! It was my first time leaving her, and Amy made me feel so much more comfortable. I loved the updates and adorable pictures she sent—Blu looked like she was having such a fun time! It was clear that Amy genuinely cared for Blu, and I could see how happy and relaxed my puppy was in her care. I truly appreciated the peace of mind knowing Blu was in such good hands. Thank you, Amy!””

“Very pleased and happy with Chanda care of our grand dog. We will leave our pup with her anytime. Everything went great and our pup did come home worn out from playing, which was a good thing. Will not hesitate to leave Jade with her again.”

“I was in a pinch because of a last minute surprise trip for thanksgiving! I was to drive over 10 hours to get to Chattanooga but I couldn’t bring my puppy to the aquarium! I messaged a couple rover sitters right before I left DC but Jackelyn was the only one to help me out! She went above and beyond letting my older service dog and puppy play and enjoy themselves while I took my younger service dog to the aquarium with me. They had a blast and I picked them up with big smiles all round. Were they fully tired? No, but they are used to pulling me on a scooter for 3+ miles almost every day. Lol. Thank you so much and the next time I come down I’ll be sure to book Jackelyn again so that I can once more enjoy the aquarium!!!”

“My Lucy had so much fun and met a new doggy BFF while with Skylar. Communication was great and made me feel very comfortable leaving my pup for the first time. Will be booking again!”

“Gigi did a great job! We needed a last minute sitter for our pup Koda. She was very flexible with drop off and pick up times. She sent us photos keeping us updated on how he was doing and took great care of our little guy :)”

“Rachel and Scott were incredibly responsive and lovely to work with! My partner and I were visiting Austin and were able to enjoy a dinner while our older dog, Dora, was in good hands! Dora is blind and needs more attention/guidance than most dogs- Rachel and Scott had no problem with this and took great care of her! Would definitely recommend.”

“First rover experience was excellent. Jamie and her family took such good care of Freya and she had such a good time with them. Great communication and a truly wonderful family. Highly recommend Jamie as a sitter and look forward to the next time we are in St. George and in need of a sitter.”

“Brooke is an amazing dog sitter! She always takes such great care of my pup and treats her like one of her own. My dog gets lots of love and attention from Brooke and her family, and she always comes home happy and tired—which is a huge plus! I highly recommend Brooke for all your pet care needs.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Washington
Jennifer was very responsive to my Rover request which I greatly appreciated. She was very nice and I didn't feel worried about leaving my dog with her. My dog is an energetic puppy, and I could tell that Jennifer was very experienced in taking care of dogs. I would love for Jennifer to take care of my dog again.
Teisha and family were great with George. They provided a safe, clean and fun environment and he was happy and tired upon pick up! I appreciated Teisha’s timely communication and flexibility with drop off and pick up. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in future!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—5 stars all the way! Over Easter weekend, he truly went above and beyond while taking care of our 10-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Cody. Not only did he keep Cody active and engaged, but he made sure he had an absolute blast the entire time. He took him hiking by the lake (which Cody clearly loved), and even had other dogs over so Cody could play and burn off that endless puppy energy. What really set this experience apart was the extra thought and care he put in—he organized an Easter egg hunt for all the dogs he was sitting on Sunday. It was such a creative and fun touch, and it showed how much he genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. On top of all that, he kept us completely at ease by sending frequent pictures and video clips throughout the stay. It was great seeing Cody having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were away. Cody came home happy, tired, and well cared for—which is exactly what every dog owner hopes for. We’ll absolutely be booking with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your dog like their own.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Washington commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
