Koko was well cared for at Jennifer’s. She reported he was a good boy and sent me pictures. I will use her service again!

Jennifer was accommodating! She crated her exuberant large breed boy so our chihuahua wouldn't stress out. We sure appreciated her helping us on short notice.

Professional and Experienced

I'm the owner of All Living Things Pet & Livestock Sitting. I've been very successful in the North-West Las Vegas valley, for several years, and moved to the St George area about 2.5 years ago; finally bringing my services to this valley that I've loved for so long! I've worked in the animal industry, in some capacity, for nearly 30 years as a riding instructor, barn manager, groom, shelter manager, animal control officer, veterinary ...

What Jennifer would like to know about your dog

It's crucial for me to know the pet's schedule, because a consistent routine helps to keep pets stress free. I'm also very interested in any established behavior requirements by the pet parent, as well as any behavior problem, or signs of stress, the pet might exhibit. I never want a client to come home to a pet displaying a new undesirable behavior. Of course all medical information, past & present, is imperative as well. It’s best to bring your dog’s food, and a few comforts of home. Like a blanket, or bed, and maybe a favorite toy, & treats.

I do require that all dogs boarded in my home have a rabies, parvo, distemper, and bordetella vaccine, or a current clear titer test. Additionally, I recommend flu vaccines, but don’t require it, just yet. There have been no cases in the Southern Utah area, and as a result, only a few veterinarians here actually carry it. However, if the community proactively creates “herd immunity”, we should be able to avoid the epidemic that’s been experienced in surrounding states.

When Jennifer watches your pet

I'm employed part time by Happy Hounds Hairstyles in Hurricane Ut. I’m a “grooming technician”, Which basically means I bathe & brush all the dogs, and prepare them for their haircuts etc. I work Tuesday through Thursday, and am away from home the majority of those days. I sometimes bring well socialized dogs to work with me, or arrange a mid day drop in to my house, by a professional dog sitting associate, and friend of mine. For this reason, I’m unable to board dogs that are not crate trained, or reliable in the home. Meaning that they’re fully housetrained & not destructive.

My background in competitive dog sports, means that I have extensive experience in engagement & drive building exercises. This looks like play & tricks to most dog owners. I offer this as part of my pet sitting services, just as enrichment activity. So playing ball, tug-o-war, nosework games etc, are all activities I try to introduce & engage client dogs in, if there's interest. Some dogs prefer puzzle games, treat time & cuddles. Everything, of course. is catered to the desires & needs of the individual pet, and what is agreed upon by the pet parent. I'm very flexible, and want your pet's routine to be disrupted as little as possible.

Additionally, I have an exuberant, well socialized, large breed dog of my own, that's available to play with client dogs, if they have permission and will enjoy the activity. I can also take client dog's on walks, field trips to the park, or a pet supply store if this is desired. I will only agree to take dogs to a dog park if they have a prior history there, with the other 'regulars".

I offer dog training as a separate service of my own business. I use a positive, balanced, and somewhat unique marker based system for communication. I've yet to see a dog not thrive with this simple technique, and at least one session including "pet parent participation" is required.
