“I've never seen our cat and dog so happy with ANYONE before! We were worried about leaving them since our car is such a trouble maker and our dog has serious separation anxiety - so could not have asked for a better experience!”

“Kari is fantastic! She watched my pup two different days while I explored Zion... the second day on short notice. She was also very kind in accomodating a late arrival when we had a longer wait than anticipated to get a table for dinner in Springdale. Luke was happy to see Kari when I dropped him off the second time... that says alot. I would definitely rebook Kari if I'm ever back in the area.”

“We were traveling through Chattanooga with our dog and had been on the road for a couple days. Found Luna on here and decided it would be good to give our pointer a day in a yard where she could run around. We got to do a couple things we couldn’t have with the dog and she got a ton of exercise and wore out. We’re back on the road and she’s still tired/sleeping - everything worked out perfect. Luna was super flexible with our drop off/pickup and kept us in the loop throughout the day. If we come back through the area would definitely do this again. Thank you!”

“Pamela watched my pup for me while I spent the day in Zion. She was so great making sure he was warmed up and comfortable before I left - it was clear that she really cared about making sure he felt safe in a new space. He had a great time playing with her small dogs, too!”

“I cannot be more grateful for Heather! She took Cooper, in on an extremely short notice AND on a holiday weekend- plus I was able to go out and have fun without worrying about if my boy was in good hands or not. Heather’s amazing reviews already speak for themselves, but meeting her in person and getting to know her has definitely solidified everything that her clients have said! She is extremely in tune and her 17+ years experience working with dogs is a massive green flag…I knew Cooper got nothing but the best care. Heather took time to go into detail about Cooper’s stay and how he behaved towards her, her son, and the other dogs, which I personally really appreciate since it was the first time I ever left him alone with a non-family member, and now I know my dog from a whole different perspective which is extremely beneficial for future visits. Heather will give proper attention and care to your dog, especially if they are nervous and anxious like mine. I without a doubt will book Heather again, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering!”

“My Lucy had so much fun and met a new doggy BFF while with Skylar. Communication was great and made me feel very comfortable leaving my pup for the first time. Will be booking again!”

“Rebecca took great care of Louie! We were staying at Zion National Park and I drove all the way out to her. Definitely worth it and had peace of mind while Louie was in her care. Would definitely have her dog sit him again.”

“Thank you Scot for taking such good care of Cheeca while we spent the day in Zion. We high recommend Scot and will use him again when back in this area. Thanks again !”

“The Hintons accommodated my early drop off and my sometimes rowdy puppy so flawlessly! So thankful to have found them. My puppy is happy and exhausted from playing all day. I will definitely use them again when we need dog sitting! Thank you so much!”

“Cynthia is simply the best!! After working with several other sitters, Cynthia stands out among them all - she is EXCELLENT! My rescue Pumpkin has severe separation anxiety which makes it difficult for me to find the right person who knows how to care for her. It’s only gotten worse during quarantine which has stressed me out on my hunt to find a good sitter. Thank god I found Cynthia! Since day 1 Pumpkin has loved the time she spends with her and her dogs. She is a TRUE dog person who doesn’t just love dogs but understands their behavior and how to gain their trust and love. Pumpkin now runs to the door to greet her, tail wagging and all. It’s amazing to see and I am so grateful and relieved to find someone who I can trust with my girl. I know she’s safe and happy when she’s in her home! 😊👍🏼👍🏼”

“Unbelievable service and attention. We received pictures and videos of Hope during her stay and our family couldn’t be happier with Jay and his family. I cannot recommend them enough”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
