“I've never seen our cat and dog so happy with ANYONE before! We were worried about leaving them since our car is such a trouble maker and our dog has serious separation anxiety - so could not have asked for a better experience!”

“Kari was such a great sitter for my dog while we were visiting Zion. My dog loved staying with her and playing with her dog. He was tired out by the end of the day, which was great since we were as well! She sent me pictures during the day, which was a nice touch. Great with communication and flexible with our schedule. Would highly recommend.”

“She took wonderful care of my dog. She communicated well, sent me pictures, and kept careful watch of my dog despite her separation anxiety while we did some hikes in Zion for the day!”

“Pamela is an absolute doll! She was so accommodating. We hiked the Narrows with our Girls. She picked up at 7:30am, dropped off at 7pm, sent pictures/updates & just made us feel like our boy was well loved while we were gone. We’re from California, but if we lived local she’d definitely be our #1 sitter. Thank you Pamela! We truly appreciate your genuine soul.”

“Amazing service! So glad Heather was able to get my pup in on such short notice. I could tell immediately my baby would be well taken care of when I first met Heather - and I wasn’t wrong! Appreciate the wonderful service and would definitely use again if the opportunity arises.”
“Marlon and his wife are great… They have a nice space for a respite from the heat for your dogs. They have a wonderful Frenchie who loves to play! If we are doing things in Zion again, we will definitely come back!”

“Great communication, super friendly, and terrific with our dogs. Provided great photos and updates while we were away. She also gave us some great insights into the area and hikes we could consider. Highly recommended!”

“Shaun was wonderful! He was there to help while I was in a pinch for doggie care. I was running late and he met us with kindness and understanding. I even got a few cute pics of my besties time with Shaun. 10/10 would stay again.”

“Conrad was so kind to welcome our dogs into his house! He took great care of them and we can tell he loves animals. We will be reaching out to him again the next time we are in St.George area”

About: I absolutely love animals and will treat them like my own. I am a prior helicopter pilot for the Army and now spend my time with my two mini aussies hiking and enjoying the outdoors while obtaining a masters. I have a bachelors of science in Biology and have worked as a vet tech while in college for my undergrad. I have treated many types of animals from parrots and foxes to dogs and cats. I am comfortable with any age animal and will happily administer any medication or other medical needs your pet may need. I always send multiple updates to make sure you know how your pet is doing (even if it’s just for a 30 minute walk or drop in). I currently have a very flexible schedule and can be available at any time or day that you need. I am available currently Monday-Sunday, and can come check on your fur babies throughout the night if needed. I have a fenced in yard and there is plenty of room to play. I provide multiple dog beds around the house (I also let my pets on the couch too if they choose) to make sure they’re comfortable. There are a plethora of toys to choose from as well.
“We were camping in Hurricane and Rebecca is only 15 minutes away. We needed daycare so that our dog could occasionally go outside, but not be in the extreme heat. Rebecca gave great attention to our precious one! Her home has a fenced yard and is calm. Rebecca took photos and updated us of our dog's stay. She was very accommodating with our schedule, so that we were able to go out and enjoy our day activities in the area. I highly recommend Rebecca and would book her again without hesitation.”

“Scot was great! We were on a family vacation and our dog wasn't feeling well, so our dog hung out with Scot for the day while the rest of the family went to the spash park. He was good about letting our dog relax and have a cool place to be. Thanks Scot!”

“My dog loved it at Jays place! From the introduction to pick up my dog was completely comfortable with Jay!! He kept me in the loop throughout the day and I truly appreciated that so much. I love getting little check-ins!!! Best rover service I have ever had!!!”

“The Hintons accommodated my early drop off and my sometimes rowdy puppy so flawlessly! So thankful to have found them. My puppy is happy and exhausted from playing all day. I will definitely use them again when we need dog sitting! Thank you so much!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
