“During our visit to Zion National Park, we stayed at a hotel in the nearby town of Springdale . We needed a reliable pet sitter for our dog Tessa while we were at the park. Tessa doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so we were especially grateful that Liz did such a great job helping her feel comfortable and relaxed. Liz watched Tessa during the day, and on the second day when we brought her back, Tessa was clearly happy to see Liz again and went right up to her. Liz was very communicative and flexible, accommodating all of our special requests without any issues. We highly recommend her services and plan to visit Springdale again this summer — we’ll definitely be using Liz again!”

“Bonnie was fantastic Responding to a last minute request to help us when we realized the night before our visit to Zion that no cars are allowed. Chica came home exhausted from playing. Even better, she is blocks from the road to Zion so we didn’t even have to go out if our way!”

“Luna was awesome, she was welcoming and the home was very clean. She was very responsive and sent a couple updates throughout the day which was very appreciated! Would recommend her care.”

“Pamela was so great with our dog Sadie! Sadie was so excited to go to her house each morning of our trip, she loved playing with her dogs. She was so tired each night after coming home, and I was happy knowing she was in good hands and having fun while we were out exploring Zion :)”

“Kenneth was awesome, he took care of my Busker at a last minutes notice while my wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon. There were 5 other dogs there too so it was like dropping my boy off at daycare, when I picked him up he seemed super happy to spend the day with his new friends! Highly recommend Kenneth!”

“I cannot be more grateful for Heather! She took Cooper, in on an extremely short notice AND on a holiday weekend- plus I was able to go out and have fun without worrying about if my boy was in good hands or not. Heather’s amazing reviews already speak for themselves, but meeting her in person and getting to know her has definitely solidified everything that her clients have said! She is extremely in tune and her 17+ years experience working with dogs is a massive green flag…I knew Cooper got nothing but the best care. Heather took time to go into detail about Cooper’s stay and how he behaved towards her, her son, and the other dogs, which I personally really appreciate since it was the first time I ever left him alone with a non-family member, and now I know my dog from a whole different perspective which is extremely beneficial for future visits. Heather will give proper attention and care to your dog, especially if they are nervous and anxious like mine. I without a doubt will book Heather again, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering!”

“Tiffany was amazing from start to finish. She made time for a meet and greet the day before and then took care of my very large highly anxious fur baby with loads of attention to detail and lots of care. I was able to spend the day in Zion with my son with plenty of photos of a very pampered pup. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“Marlon and his wife are great… They have a nice space for a respite from the heat for your dogs. They have a wonderful Frenchie who loves to play! If we are doing things in Zion again, we will definitely come back!”

“We were camping in Hurricane and Rebecca is only 15 minutes away. We needed daycare so that our dog could occasionally go outside, but not be in the extreme heat. Rebecca gave great attention to our precious one! Her home has a fenced yard and is calm. Rebecca took photos and updated us of our dog's stay. She was very accommodating with our schedule, so that we were able to go out and enjoy our day activities in the area. I highly recommend Rebecca and would book her again without hesitation.”

“Thank you Scot for taking such good care of Cheeca while we spent the day in Zion. We high recommend Scot and will use him again when back in this area. Thanks again !”

“Loved loved loved Cynthia!! She was so professional and helpful the entire time. I cannot wait to take Dexter back to her knowing that when I'm away she is a very good second choice.”

“We could easily see that Conrad was a caring young man. We were certain our little Lucy would be well cared for and loved. He was kind enough to send a picture of, too! We look forward to leaving Lucy with him again in the future.”

“Great communication, super friendly, and terrific with our dogs. Provided great photos and updates while we were away. She also gave us some great insights into the area and hikes we could consider. Highly recommended!”

About: I absolutely love animals and will treat them like my own. I am a prior helicopter pilot for the Army and now spend my time with my two mini aussies hiking and enjoying the outdoors while obtaining a masters. I have a bachelors of science in Biology and have worked as a vet tech while in college for my undergrad. I have treated many types of animals from parrots and foxes to dogs and cats. I am comfortable with any age animal and will happily administer any medication or other medical needs your pet may need. I always send multiple updates to make sure you know how your pet is doing (even if it’s just for a 30 minute walk or drop in). I currently have a very flexible schedule and can be available at any time or day that you need. I am available currently Monday-Sunday, and can come check on your fur babies throughout the night if needed. I have a fenced in yard and there is plenty of room to play. I provide multiple dog beds around the house (I also let my pets on the couch too if they choose) to make sure they’re comfortable. There are a plethora of toys to choose from as well.

“The Hintons accommodated my early drop off and my sometimes rowdy puppy so flawlessly! So thankful to have found them. My puppy is happy and exhausted from playing all day. I will definitely use them again when we need dog sitting! Thank you so much!”

“My dog loved it at Jays place! From the introduction to pick up my dog was completely comfortable with Jay!! He kept me in the loop throughout the day and I truly appreciated that so much. I love getting little check-ins!!! Best rover service I have ever had!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockville
Liz was a lifesaver during our camping trip to Zion! We decided at the last minute that we wanted to rent e-bikes and go deeper into the park (something you can’t do with dogs). I found her the day before and she was available for next day sitting. She was very accommodating — even coming out for a quick meet n greet that same day (before attending a wedding!), so that we’d feel comfortable leaving our pup (this was our first time leaving her with anyone other than family!). We dropped her off ant 7am and picked her up around 3:30. She had a great day with her two other dogs and I loved seeing the pictures of her throughout the day. She is also located right in Springdale which is where we rented our e-bikes and parked our car for the day. We walked from her house to rent our e-bikes. Very convenient! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend Liz!

As of September 2026, there are 108 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Rockville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rockville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 108 sitters in Rockville, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
