“Karli is professional, easy to work with, responsive, and caring. Our dog doesn’t like to be boarded usually which is why we brought him along on our Zion trip. But he quickly adjusted and enjoyed his time with Karli and family.”

“Left our Cooer Pooper with his “Auntie Luna” again and he enjoyed himself as always! We have formed a great bond with Luna and her dogs and I feel very comfortable trusting her with our baby. She has amazing communication and provides pictures on the daily. Thank you!”
“Bonnie was great with Zizou! He was a happy puppy when we picked him up. Bonnie was super easy to communicate with. Highly recommend her. She even gave a great recommendations for hiking in Zion. Thank you!”

“Conrad was amazing! We had something come up last minute and Conrad was flexible enough to take our two doggies in for a day and a half. He was very easy to work with, great at communication and responding back quickly with updates. We ran a little late for drop off and pick up and again, Conrad was flexible and accommodated us with what was going on which I am very thankful for. Doggies are happy and tired, so I’d say they had a very nice time! Would definitely recommend! If we are ever in need of a sitter in the area we will definitely book again! Thank you! 🙏🏽”

“Shaun always shares cute pictures and intentional updates. I appreciate that my pup always comes home happy, and feels safe while in his care. I know this by her happy demeanor when she gets home. Thanks Shaun!”

“We had great communication from start to during to end. We have never left our pups before and although they were reluctant at first Chandra and her husband gave them such great care that we were not worried at all. We would recommend and also trust them with our babies again!”

“Liz was great! She sent me photos regularly and updated me on how Callie was doing. I would definitely use Liz again and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter. She responded immediately to any questions I had leading up to the stay and was accommodating with drop off and pickup times. I had no hesitations leaving my pup and will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“Best 1st experience ever!! I was freaking out about leaving Bruiser for 6 days but Cindy and her family made the transition very easy. Cindy sent pictures every day of Bruiser having fun with his new friends, sleeping and getting cuddles. Will return for day visits because Bruiser misses Shelby ?. I have already recommended her to several dog mom's. Thank you Cindy, Vance and Shelby ?”

“Best Doggie sitter ever! I always worried about leaving my pouchie anywhere. I'm so glad to have found Karii! My doggie loves to go there! When we are packing his blanket & food container, he grabs his pillow and jumps right in our SUV. When we arrive he makes his excited, happy sound, jumps right out and runs to the door. When it is answered he goes right in and acts like Kari's home & family are his! And the happiness in my poochie 🐕, I know Kari & family are perfect sitters for him!”

“They were so good to our little puppy for the week we were out of town. Sent pictures and reassured us he was doing well. One of the sweet kids told me when we picked him up “I made sure to give him lots of hugs and kisses” so I know we left him with the right family!”

“Stacy was AMAZING!!! I can’t think of a better person to watch my dog. She even sent pictures updating me throughout his whole stay. My dog was so happy when I picked him up and so grateful to have found her.”

“So thankful for this amazing couple! They were available last minute and took care of our dogs. We value their time in taking our pups to the lake and on a hike. Very responsive when messages were sent. They sent a lot of videos and photos as well. Thank you!!”

“Jennifer took great care of Indi & Dexter, and she had worked with them previously at their daycare center so she was already up to speed with their quirks which helped put our minds at ease in boarding them for several days.”

“Scot was fantastic! He showed such genuine care and affection for our dog, making us feel completely at ease while we were away. His kindness and flexibility with our schedule were much appreciated, and it's clear they truly love what they do!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockville
Liz provided visual instructions which helped in locating her home. We appreciate taking our pup on short notice and close proximity to Zion national park. Liz was communicative and provided photos. My Nala seemed to have a wonderful time and was well taken care of. Thank you, Liz!

Liz was absolutely wonderful! We had a last minute trip to Zion and really wanted to hike the narrows but be respectful of hotel rules re leaving dogs in the room. However, we recently had someone bring an aggressive dog to our home, which has or may have altered how our big male views other dogs. Not wanting to chance it, Liz agreed to meet us the day before and, of course, everything was fine. The dogs were happy, we were able hike the Narrows without worrying. She sent pictures and was just super. Great communication! She is also conveniently located in town and has a separate room and fenced yard where our pups could be kept if they didn’t get along well. **this was also our first time using Rover. Will use it again!

I was able to book Liz last minute for my very timid/fearful of many things, pup. It went better than I could have asked for! She sent plenty of pics with Phyllis looking happy & warmed up to their household (unusual for her to relax so quickly). I would most definitely use Liz again to safely & lovingly watch my girl. Highly recommend!

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rockville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rockville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rockville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
