“It was a good price for what we needed last minute for our pups—they were not as transparent as we are used too (i.e. we did not go inside their house to see where they’d be staying- my dog gets into food and overeats, so wanted to warn and also it’s hot in St. George so wanted to make sure they could stay inside. Communicated with wife and only saw husband, just awkward to know who we were talking to. Each picture of our dogs were outside in St. George triple digit heat, and we worried they didn’t get the water they needed) it felt confirmed when our dogs guzzled almost a gallon of water upon return and one threw up 3 times from too much water. They did respond promptly and were ready at drop off and return. And our dogs are okay! Simple transaction.”

“Karli is professional, easy to work with, responsive, and caring. Our dog doesn’t like to be boarded usually which is why we brought him along on our Zion trip. But he quickly adjusted and enjoyed his time with Karli and family.”

“Luna was great with Lily. She offered us good suggestions for house training, feeding, a socializing our new puppy. She sent us updates and kept us informed. We were really happy to have found someone who provided a good place for her to board but also was knowledgeable. She gave us tips and even trimmed her nails and washed her bedding before we got there. Thanks Luna!”

“Bonnie was awesome, she was very accommodating with our late arrival and extremely easy to work with. She sent pics regularly of our pup having a great time at her home and out at a park with her and kids for an entire week. I highly recommend her for a Rover sitter and if I could, I would give her 10 stars!!! Fantastic experience all around. Thank you!!!”

“Conrad was an excellent sitter for our dog. We have never left her with anyone other than family so I was nervous to leave her. Conrad was so kind and loving to her. I’ll definitely be using him again! Thanks Conrad!”

“Shaun took such good care of our puppy. He provided a calm and safe environment, and helped our dog feel right at home. And he was flexible when we needed to adjust our booking last minute. We will definitely use Shaun again!”

“Just from our meet and greet, I could tell Cynthia would be a great ‘nanny’ for Sunny. She’s caring and gives lots of attention to the pets under her care. Sunny had a wonderful time there and knowing that, it gave us peace of mind during our vacation. If you’re looking for a sitter who’ll give your pet lots of love and attention, book with Cynthia.”

“Man oh man! Words of gratitude can’t express how grateful I was to have marlon take care of my fur baby! They kept me updated on her progress and she seemed to love it there I will definitely be back. Thanks ? a bunch”

“Best Doggie sitter ever! I always worried about leaving my pouchie anywhere. I'm so glad to have found Karii! My doggie loves to go there! When we are packing his blanket & food container, he grabs his pillow and jumps right in our SUV. When we arrive he makes his excited, happy sound, jumps right out and runs to the door. When it is answered he goes right in and acts like Kari's home & family are his! And the happiness in my poochie 🐕, I know Kari & family are perfect sitters for him!”

“We left our Doberman, Twyla, with Stacey and couldn’t be happier with the service. Making the arrangements for the stay was super easy. Stacey and her husband are clearly dog lovers and lead an active life with their dog. They even took Twyla for a hike in the mountains, an activity that Twyla can’t get enough of. She sent pictures and an update each day. I have no hesitation in recommending Stacey and would definitely like to board Twyla there again.”
“Amy was awesome! My pup came back so tired from all the activities he was doing! She kept me updated and sent many pictures. I’m very pleased with his stay and will be rebooking. I highly recommend Amy!”

“Stacy was AMAZING!!! I can’t think of a better person to watch my dog. She even sent pictures updating me throughout his whole stay. My dog was so happy when I picked him up and so grateful to have found her.”

“Liz was absolutely wonderful! We had a last minute trip to Zion and really wanted to hike the narrows but be respectful of hotel rules re leaving dogs in the room. However, we recently had someone bring an aggressive dog to our home, which has or may have altered how our big male views other dogs. Not wanting to chance it, Liz agreed to meet us the day before and, of course, everything was fine. The dogs were happy, we were able hike the Narrows without worrying. She sent pictures and was just super. Great communication! She is also conveniently located in town and has a separate room and fenced yard where our pups could be kept if they didn’t get along well. **this was also our first time using Rover. Will use it again!”

“Teisha and Keevin were wonderful! We were worried about finding someone to take care of our puppy, we have always had family and a close neighbor take him. But he was so well taken care of that we will not hesitate to book with them again. He was treated so well that he wasn't sure he wanted to some home with us. They are the best!”

“Scot was super great with our shy aussiedoodle for a weekend stay. He let us do a meet and greet a couple of days in advance and sent us updates and photos over the weekend. He was very communicative and responded to questions quickly. We would love to utilize Scot again in the future!”

“Jennifer was awesome! I love that we got to do a meet and greet and that she holds high standards for the dogs that she watches. Our baby was exhausted when we picked her up and that’s a good sign that she had fun. We also loved getting photos of her while we were away!”

I was able to book Liz last minute for my very timid/fearful of many things, pup. It went better than I could have asked for! She sent plenty of pics with Phyllis looking happy & warmed up to their household (unusual for her to relax so quickly). I would most definitely use Liz again to safely & lovingly watch my girl. Highly recommend!

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rockville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rockville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rockville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
