“Bonnie was so accommodating and kind! She sent us some wonderful pictures and was very flexible and understanding when we got held up by the shuttle system at Zion. If we are ever back in town, we would love to have her watch our dogs again.”

“Kari took in my non social pup and went beyond her call of duty juggling and managing the two (her dog as well) in separate spaces. She was also very flexible on pick up and drop off, as well as communicative over text”

“During our visit to Zion National Park, we stayed at a hotel in the nearby town of Springdale . We needed a reliable pet sitter for our dog Tessa while we were at the park. Tessa doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so we were especially grateful that Liz did such a great job helping her feel comfortable and relaxed. Liz watched Tessa during the day, and on the second day when we brought her back, Tessa was clearly happy to see Liz again and went right up to her. Liz was very communicative and flexible, accommodating all of our special requests without any issues. We highly recommend her services and plan to visit Springdale again this summer — we’ll definitely be using Liz again!”

“I cannot be more grateful for Heather! She took Cooper, in on an extremely short notice AND on a holiday weekend- plus I was able to go out and have fun without worrying about if my boy was in good hands or not. Heather’s amazing reviews already speak for themselves, but meeting her in person and getting to know her has definitely solidified everything that her clients have said! She is extremely in tune and her 17+ years experience working with dogs is a massive green flag…I knew Cooper got nothing but the best care. Heather took time to go into detail about Cooper’s stay and how he behaved towards her, her son, and the other dogs, which I personally really appreciate since it was the first time I ever left him alone with a non-family member, and now I know my dog from a whole different perspective which is extremely beneficial for future visits. Heather will give proper attention and care to your dog, especially if they are nervous and anxious like mine. I without a doubt will book Heather again, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering!”

“Jackelyn was so sweet when I messaged her last minute. She took my Baxi in and had him at her home for day care 2 days in a row. She wven brought him back home since I work really late. My boy was happy to get out of the house and meet new doggy friends and came home tired and ready for bed. Love love love her ❤️”

“Pamela watched my pup for me while I spent the day in Zion. She was so great making sure he was warmed up and comfortable before I left - it was clear that she really cared about making sure he felt safe in a new space. He had a great time playing with her small dogs, too!”

“Rebecca took great care of Louie! We were staying at Zion National Park and I drove all the way out to her. Definitely worth it and had peace of mind while Louie was in her care. Would definitely have her dog sit him again.”

“Fantastic sitters! Very friendly and easy to work with. They agreed to sit for Luz last minute and were simply perfect. Gave regular updates and Luz can back tired and happy!”

“Here’s a review you could post on Rover: “I want to thank Amy for taking such great care of my puppy, Blu, for the day! It was my first time leaving her, and Amy made me feel so much more comfortable. I loved the updates and adorable pictures she sent—Blu looked like she was having such a fun time! It was clear that Amy genuinely cared for Blu, and I could see how happy and relaxed my puppy was in her care. I truly appreciated the peace of mind knowing Blu was in such good hands. Thank you, Amy!””

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Springdale
Liz was a lifesaver during our camping trip to Zion! We decided at the last minute that we wanted to rent e-bikes and go deeper into the park (something you can’t do with dogs). I found her the day before and she was available for next day sitting. She was very accommodating — even coming out for a quick meet n greet that same day (before attending a wedding!), so that we’d feel comfortable leaving our pup (this was our first time leaving her with anyone other than family!). We dropped her off ant 7am and picked her up around 3:30. She had a great day with her two other dogs and I loved seeing the pictures of her throughout the day. She is also located right in Springdale which is where we rented our e-bikes and parked our car for the day. We walked from her house to rent our e-bikes. Very convenient! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend Liz!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
