“Heather has a gift when it comes to taking care of animals (and plants). We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 aquariums, and a whole bunch of house plants, its a lot, we know. One of our dogs has some special care needs that could mean the difference between life and death for her. Heather came by and met them, listened carefully to our care concerns. After a one night stay to test the water we felt comfortable leaving our dogs, cats, and fish in her care for a week-long out of country (and in and out of cell phone service area) trip. She was quick and direct about care concerns she had during the trip, but also took initiative and stayed calm when we couldnt answer her right away. When we arrived home both of our dogs were in great spirits and health. Our oldest and most sensitive cat was happy to see us (shes usually really mad at us when we return), our fish were doing well and our houseplants looked amazing! You simply couldn't ask for a better caretaker for your fur babies.”

About: I’ve cared and was raised around animals since I can remember. Growing up with pets and caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors has given me experience with dogs, cats, fish, birds bunnies, and hedgehogs. I am comfortable with small, medium, or large dogs as I have had experience with all. Years back I had took it upon myself to start my own pet sitting business in my hometown. Families trusted me to care of their pets while they were away, whether that meant feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after them, giving medication, or simply providing companionship and attention. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies and senior cats who require daily medication and extra care. Also, I have experience administering medication. I know how important it is to trust someone with their furry family members, that is my top priority. I have always had a passion to take care of animals and would like to use my experience again. About: I have always grown up with multiple pets in my house, and as I have gotten older I have taken care of neighbors and friends pets. I worked for a pet sitting business for a few years, but now I do it independently. I can do anything ranging from walks to giving pets shots if needed! Taking care of pets fits great into my schedule because I am always up pretty early, which allows me to stop in before the day and get the pet all situated, bathroom, food, etc. I am additionally incredibly fit, so if the pet requires any physical activity, I am more than willing to give them that. As a student, I have a bunch of breaks throughout my day, so I can easily stop in and do whatever task is needed. in clients home, I will do whatever their pets are most used to, to try and limit the stress of their owner being away. About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 6+ years! I have 3+ years of veterinary background at Texas A&M University and additional vet pharmacy experience from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. I have experience administering medications including pilling and house-sitting! I am currently on remote rotation for my Pharm.D. program, so I am very flexible in my hours throughout the week! Maaike did a great job with the dogs, she did provide one photo with the dogs, more would have been prefererred. Communication was great and prompt. This was a house sitting booking as well as dog sitting. Stripping the bed, taking trash out would have brought the rating up to a five.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
