“Krishna and her whole family loved on our Cosmo. He was happy and bouncing around when we picked him up. Always nice to have a host express how much they liked watching your dog.”

“Left our Cooer Pooper with his “Auntie Luna” again and he enjoyed himself as always! We have formed a great bond with Luna and her dogs and I feel very comfortable trusting her with our baby. She has amazing communication and provides pictures on the daily. Thank you!”
“Krisanne & Gaston were so great!. We were hesitant to book through Rover again after having a poor experience with a different host. I booked again after luckily stumbling upon Krisanne (an acquaintance from when I was younger). I knew our dog Moose was in good hands as soon as we dropped him off. They sent me picture and updates every day of him playing and out on walks. I felt totally at ease this weekend and was completely confident that he was taken care of and in good hands. Moose came home happy and tired from a fun weekend playing. We will be back!”

“Savana and Carter were awesome! They took such good care of Sully! They sent us so many pictures, cuddled him, and took him on walks! Sully also had so much fun playing with their dog! We would 100% recommend them and will definitely use them again!”

“I LOVE the way Aubree connects with my pup. She has such a loving and calm demeanor. I feel like I can learn a lot about being a good pet parent from her. Thank you Aubree! We love you..”

“Connor and Julia did an amazing job taking care of my little one! They were incredibly attentive to all of her special needs and made sure she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. They provided frequent updates with lots of adorable photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she was in loving hands, and she came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for better caregivers and would absolutely trust them with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Great first time experience!. Fluid communication, we recieved pictures/videos/updates every day. It seems Pancho had a great time. Very likely we will be a returning customer. Thanks!.”

“I really appreciate MaKayla. She took my dog in on short notice, when a trip came up for me las minute. She was great and easy to work with. She also responded quickly. Ash was a happy dog when I picked her up after her stay. I would recommend MaKayla to everyone.”
About: Trained many dogs of our own, people always said we have the best pets. My husband is know as the dog whisperer. I love to reward good behavior and not give attention to bad behavior. I know how to show who's boss plus have a close connection to animal behavior and most times know exactly what they are thinking. :) One family member is always home. I work from home and when I have to leave, my husband or daughters who are also pet lovers are home. We have a fenced yard, with an area for animal waste. Inside we have a large laundry room and most hard flooring for easy cleanup. We have bedding for them and we love to cuddle the animals but never in our own beds.
“Lindsay was so great! We felt good leaving our pup with her and her girls. It was obvious he was loved and cared for while we were away. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Brittany was so great! She is a total dog lover and made sure our pup was comfortable. She made sure she got her walks to help with anxiety and even helped her progress with swimming and walking off leash. I received regular pictures and updates. I will 100% be calling Brittany again for future dog boarding!”

About: I’ve had many doggies in my family since I was five. Since I’m a paraplegic (going on five years now) and I have an ESA medium sized doodle, we would love a low-key playmate to share our adventures with—even if it’s just cuddling up on the couch, watching a movie. Being a paraplegic, I have access to my own door to the fenced in backyard from my bedroom. My parents are always home—which is where they also work—and would provide help with cuddles during our nightly movie fests. (Note: we prefer well trained, good natured, willing-to-be-low-key, but able to run at least two miles doggies. A love of Charlie Chaplin, like my dog, is optional) Daily, my Hairy and I go on walks—me on a three wheel scooter OR a three wheel bike, and never ever if it’s more than 100 degrees. If it’s 90-100 degrees, I thoroughly hose down my doggie and bring lots of water, and aim for a trail or park with lots of grass. If your dog is well mannered, I will let them loose and we can play with the ball.) My parents and I all work our individual jobs at home. I’m a writer in a wheelchair with my dog Hairy, who is in every respect like the hero we all have read about and adore. As I work on my computer, Hairy sits on his bed in the corner, waiting for another doggie boarder to play with! Yet, daily, your dog and mine would get at least two walks/bike rides/3 wheeled scooter rides so they get exposure to the world outside. (Some soaking down may be required for heat purposes.) Lots of treats, loves, cuddles, and relaxation provided with a varied fenced-in backyard are always at hand. Fenced yard, fountains, maybe 25 trees, no cats (bleah!), grass galore, and stairs to explore! Inside our environment is a working from home angelic nurse practitioner mom, a hard working engineer dad, and a writer (that’s me! Find my first book on Amazon called Prelude in N Minor as well as my other books!).
“Gizzy seemed happy with their family. She updated us a couple times. This was our first time using Rover. Hard to leave our dog with a stranger, but Melissa answered all our questions and made it easier to leave her.”

“Super friendly and responsive, great communication, and lots and lots of photos! I was so happy with my experience! I only booked for two days, but they were so good about frequently letting me know how Stewart was doing with eating and sleeping, as well as socializing with the other pets. I received photos quite often, which really helped me when I was missing my little guy. They were very organized about Stewart's belongings, as well as making sure they understood his eating schedule, and the only whoopsie was my dog managed to make off with one of their dogs' chew toys! (I offered to replace it, and they graciously claimed Stewart took it as a souvenir and did not require a replacement. Thank you! Hopefully nobody else's dog will be a sneaky thief like mine!) They were so complimentary about my dog, though I feel they would have been honest if he was a nuisance. I felt very calm about leaving Stewart in their care, and if I get the chance, I will happily book with them again.”

“Liz was absolutely wonderful! We had a last minute trip to Zion and really wanted to hike the narrows but be respectful of hotel rules re leaving dogs in the room. However, we recently had someone bring an aggressive dog to our home, which has or may have altered how our big male views other dogs. Not wanting to chance it, Liz agreed to meet us the day before and, of course, everything was fine. The dogs were happy, we were able hike the Narrows without worrying. She sent pictures and was just super. Great communication! She is also conveniently located in town and has a separate room and fenced yard where our pups could be kept if they didn’t get along well. **this was also our first time using Rover. Will use it again!”

About: I’ve taken care of every kind of animal! I love animals, everyone calls me the animal whisperer. I treat them more like my babies than animals!! I will give them lots of love and attention!! I’m a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby!! I love going on walks and love being outdoors. I have a big fenced backyard and two friendly dogs that will keep your dog company! I also have room to crate them if needed.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a kid. I’m a dog groomer who owns 3 dogs. I always take good care of friends/neighbors dogs! I’m a part-time dog groomer at home, and I would love to use my spare time as a pet sitter. I love working with animals I think about their safety and feeling first so I always examine their behavior and personalities so it helps me when I walk and play with them.

I have left Lexi at Shawn’‘s many times and feel confident that she’s well taken care of. Lexie gets along well with her dogs and she gets treats sent home with her. I would highly recommend Shawn’s to take care of your dogs. I know I will leave Lexi at their place again when I have to leave. Thanks for a great job.
I was a little worried about leaving our 4 month old puppy with someone I hadn’t met, but Stacey had great reviews and she lived up to all of them. Her family was wonderful! Our goldendoodle pup had so much fun playing with Stacey and her kids. We got daily updates and photos showing how much he was being loved. I would definitely choose Stacey again!

Brennon took the time to do a meet and great with us a few days before we left our boy with him. He brought his dogs to make sure they were going to work well together and did some off leash work so we all felt good about him taking him out on adventures. Throughout our dogs stay we were given consistent updates with pictures and videos showing us all of the fun they were having on walks, socialization and treks to the river to keep cool. We came home to one tired and happy boy. Would definitely recommend and plan to use Brennon again!

This was my first time using a pet sitting service. I was nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger but I was quickly at ease with Lindsay. She sent daily updates and took my dog on morning hikes. My dog also seemed very entertained with her family and own dogs as company. What a great find. I will be using Lindsay again on future trips. Thank you!

We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitters! They took such amazing care of our two Bernedoodles over the last five days, and we had complete peace of mind while we were away. They kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was obvious our dogs were happy, loved, and well cared for the entire time. When we picked them up, they were relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a wonderful stay. It’s such a relief to find people who genuinely treat your pets like family. We are incredibly grateful for the care, attention, and love they gave our dogs. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable pet sitters. We will absolutely be booking with them again in the future. Thank you so much for everything!

We had such a great experience with Tiffany! She took amazing care of our dog and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
