“Scot was awesome!! Sent updates and pics of our sweet Meadow throughout the weekend. Just put my mama heart at ease where this was the first time we left her with anyone that wasn’t family.”

“Thank you for everything! Our sweet girl was spoiled by Krisanne & Gaston. I loved the daily pictures, and I know Luna loved the daily walks! I love knowing we now have someone reliable we can feel comfortable leaving our fur baby with! Made leaving on vacation so much easier. Thank you again!”

“thank you for watching Cookie at the last minute. Sorry about the confusion coming home. I didn't know all of my sons plans and wasn't sure where he was going and when”

“They were absolutely great with our two dogs. They were constantly doing things with them and taking them out to have fun. Our dogs also came home listening to us better than usual, not sure if they did some training with them or they were just wore out from all the fun, what but we have nothing but positive things to say!”

“Brittany was so great! She is a total dog lover and made sure our pup was comfortable. She made sure she got her walks to help with anxiety and even helped her progress with swimming and walking off leash. I received regular pictures and updates. I will 100% be calling Brittany again for future dog boarding!”

“What a great experience we had with Linda and her family! My Simon boy enjoyed his stay immensely and he was taken care of so well, I’m so happy with his stay. When I picked him up I could tell he felt relaxed and comfortable in the home and with the family. They sent daily pictures and updates which were so helpful. Simon is a senior boy and has some challenges but they handled it like it was a breeze. I’m so grateful for their care. They even sent me home with homemade dog treats and a few cookies for myself even! I would never hesitate to use Linda and her family again, I highly recommend them. Thanks again Linda! I think Simon misses you. :)”
“thank you ,Ms Kelly and Shelby! Hiro had the best time. Ms Kelly took care of Hiro and anticipated his needs. Will definitely have Ms Kelly watch Hiro when we are in town!”

“Harley truly enjoyed his Rover stay! Chenelle kept me updated with pictures, and every single one warmed my heart. It was such a joy to see Harley having a blast and being so well taken care of. I’m incredibly thankful for Chenelle and her family for treating him like one of their own. 💕”

“So glad I’ve had the chance to have Jaren watch my English bulldog. Even though my dog is an easy dog to get along with, Jaren was awesome with her. My dog had a great time at his house, and I’ll definitely reach out to him again the next time I’m out of town.”

“Argiri was super amazing with my puppy Gibby! She was really good at communicating me and updating me about everything! She is super easy to communicate with and is open to any type of dog!”

“Heather was amazing with our German Shepard (2.5 years old). Heather shared photos of our pup playing and was great with communication throughout our travels. Heather has great energy and genuinely cares about families and their fur babies.”

About: I’ve had many doggies in my family since I was five. Since I’m a paraplegic (going on five years now) and I have an ESA medium sized doodle, we would love a low-key playmate to share our adventures with—even if it’s just cuddling up on the couch, watching a movie. Being a paraplegic, I have access to my own door to the fenced in backyard from my bedroom. My parents are always home—which is where they also work—and would provide help with cuddles during our nightly movie fests. (Note: we prefer well trained, good natured, willing-to-be-low-key, but able to run at least two miles doggies. A love of Charlie Chaplin, like my dog, is optional) Daily, my Hairy and I go on walks—me on a three wheel scooter OR a three wheel bike, and never ever if it’s more than 100 degrees. If it’s 90-100 degrees, I thoroughly hose down my doggie and bring lots of water, and aim for a trail or park with lots of grass. If your dog is well mannered, I will let them loose and we can play with the ball.) My parents and I all work our individual jobs at home. I’m a writer in a wheelchair with my dog Hairy, who is in every respect like the hero we all have read about and adore. As I work on my computer, Hairy sits on his bed in the corner, waiting for another doggie boarder to play with! Yet, daily, your dog and mine would get at least two walks/bike rides/3 wheeled scooter rides so they get exposure to the world outside. (Some soaking down may be required for heat purposes.) Lots of treats, loves, cuddles, and relaxation provided with a varied fenced-in backyard are always at hand. Fenced yard, fountains, maybe 25 trees, no cats (bleah!), grass galore, and stairs to explore! Inside our environment is a working from home angelic nurse practitioner mom, a hard working engineer dad, and a writer (that’s me! Find my first book on Amazon called Prelude in N Minor as well as my other books!).
“Lindsay was so great! We felt good leaving our pup with her and her girls. It was obvious he was loved and cared for while we were away. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“I would highly recommend Melissa for your pet watching needs. We left our dog with her for a week, and had zero concerns with the care he would receive from her. She even took the time to check in with us and give updates with how he was doing.”

“Our dog was well taken care of, and Julia and her husband gave him plenty of love and attention while we were away. So glad to have someone kind to keep my dog happy and safe for a few days!”

“MaKayla did a great job. We left our Italian Mastiff with her and she was able to handle all that dog! She has a great set up to keep dogs of all sizes safe and happy! I would definitely use her again to watch our pup.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - La Verkin
Bonnie was a great pet sitter for us when we were getting some adventure time in at Zion National Park. She was very communicative throughout the booking process and during our dog’s stay with her. We received occasional updates and pics; our dog was in wonderful hands with Bonnie!

Our dog Ari spent three weeks with Audriana, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! She kept us updated throughout his stay with regular photos and great communication. Ari got plenty of playtime outdoors, a nice bath, and lots of care and attention. He came home clean, happy, and clearly well loved. Thank you, Audriana, for taking such great care of our little guy—Ari will definitely be back for another stay soon!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
