“Hannah was very personable on our initial visit and I was very comfortable leaving our pups in her hands for morning and evening visits. She sent pics of them every visit and promptly got back to me when I asked her questions about how the visits were going. I will definitely use Hannah again if I need dog sitting in the future :)”

“Ketera is so kind! She was so good to my cats and respectful of my home and the directions I left. She administered my cat’s inhaler with ease. I am planning on booking her again in July!”

“I've reviewed her before, but for when we were gone for only a weekend, so doing another now that we've had her come when we were gone for more than a week over the holidays. Alana was great giving us daily updates and "proof of life" photos. She was also very intuitive about making changes to how she fed them in response to how they were acting (one is a bit of a food bully to the other, who really just wants attention more than food). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone!”

“Rachel was a great pet sitter! She went above and beyond what I was expecting. She sent me pictures and told me how my pets were every time she visited them. Both my cat and chinchilla loved her. I’ll definitely call her again when I need someone to pet sit.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked for a dog breeder in the past and have watched family and friends pets of various species over the years. I have also worked for a doggy daycare/resort! I am currently a college student, so over the summer I have an extremely open schedule to work! I am available mostly anytime and any day outside of Sundays :) I follow any and all instructions left by you for your fur baby. I bring a happy environment to your pet and know how to read a dog’s body language and make them as comfortable as possible.
About: I have hundreds of hours of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, rabbits. For over 4 years I looked after a ranch, making sure the animals were healthy and well cared for. I was trusted to look over the entire ranch while the owners were away. I work as a Dog Handler at Red Rover Retreat, I really enjoy spending time with animals of all personalities. At home, I love working with my own dog and horse on training, with obedience, GRC, and scentwork with my dog and competitive obstacle work with horses. Right now I am doing some contract work a couple hours a day during the week for work. My husband and I go on spontaneous adventures with our dog or go visit family on weekends occasionally. (Please still reach out if the booking is for a weekend!) About twice a month. Usually I can still do weekends. I’m pretty open! I am very thorough and go the extra mile-I am known for leaving things better than I found it-whether that be your home, or your dogs training or well-being!
“Emma always provides such great care to our senior dog! He looks so happy in the pictures she sends and it’s so nice having peace of mind that he’s in good hands while we’re away. Thank you Emma!”

“Courtney went above and beyond what I asked her to do for my dog. She even cleaned up after him 🐕🦺💩 😲🤩 Courtney made sure to let me know if there was any problems, and made sure he was happy each day by walking him and playing with him on my backyard. He usually stops eating if we are gone, but because of her company he ate everyday!”

About: I have helped take care of my grandparents and neighbors dogs giving me experience with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I am patient, responsible, and committed to providing a safe, caring, and reliable experience for every pet I look after. I currently have two part time jobs but I only work each of them about twice a week. I never work longer than 5 hour shifts so I never have to be away from your pets for too long! I am available every day of the week if I am in town! When I care for pets in clients homes, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort. I follow owners instructions carefully and try my best to keep pets on their normal routines, while treating each house with respect. I also can provide updates so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
About: I was raised around animals -- cats, dogs, horses, and so many more. I spent my years growing up taking care of our animals, watching my neighbors animals and properties, and helping my grandma with her pet sitting business. In addition, I am a pet owner myself and understanding the importance of having someone trustworthy to take care of my animals while I'm away. I hope I can be this for you! I have a very open schedule and will have plenty of time to spend with your pup (or cat!) to make sure they are exercised and well taken care of. At my house, I have a large fenced yard which your pup will have access to. They will have their own space with a crate and will be kept separate from our animals. We have three cats who have been raised around dogs, and have two dogs. This is a great environment for your pup to spend the day! If I'm dropping by your place, I'll be sure to utilize whatever resources you have for your pup to ensure their comfort!
About: Before moving to cedar city for school I would take care of pets in my hometown! I had about 5 steady clients that I would house sit for. I would stay in their home while they were on vacation and play and walk with their pets, feed them and bathe if needed. I would also water any plants or gardens they had, and even help put out trash cans on trash day! As of the summer I’m working part time, I have a very open schedule to spend plenty of time with your pets! I am a student so as the school year starts back up I will have a full course load but that won’t stop me from giving you pet every bit of attention and love I can give! In my own home back in my hometown we have many pets cats, dogs, even chickens! You can rest assured I will take the best care of your pets just as I would with my own!
About: I have taken care of cats and dogs ever since I can remember. Through volunteering and ownership, I truly love all animals like my own. I am currently preparing to attend school part time at Southwest Tech. My schedule will remain quite open as I will only be there 15 hours/week. I constantly check in on any pet I am caring for with food, snack, cuddle and potty breaks before and after work. I’m happy to spend any night with your fur baby.

About: House sitted for a friend in the Army a few times. Grew up with Mastiffs and a few cats... one lizard. I have a lot of love for dogs and animals in general! Will take good care of them playing and petting and cleaning up and feeding! School full time, work part time. I'm just looking for a way to make some extra money, meet animals, help the community, and maybe make new friends. no boarding services offered. Pets are family in my opinion. They deserve loving attention and a good home no questions asked. I really enjoyed taking my dogs on walks and playing outside.
“Shianne is such a sweet person that always goes above and beyond for our fur babies! We love knowing she is our sitter because she is responsible and trustworthy every time she comes into our home. Thank you Shianne, you’re the best :)”

I can cater to your pet care styles and routine as needed. I have no issues with crating your pets, playing with and socializing them, taking them for walks/hikes, etc. I am happy to help in any way!
“We can’t not thank you guys enough for the care you have given to all three doggies while we were gone. The report cards and pictures were very reassuring they were having a good time while we were gone... I don’t think they even missed us one bit. We have more trips coming in the future and will def be booking with you both again ♥️”

“Breja was amazing! She took such good care of my dogs and they absolutely adored her. Her communication throughout the entire process was perfect and I received plenty of pictures of my happy dogs at the end of the visit. I would 1000% have Breja watch my dogs again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar City
Bo was extremely anxious with me leaving out of state suddenly for a family emergency. This resulted in some bad behaviors and Hannah stepped right in without hesitation and with full understanding. She went above and beyond the required check-ins and feedings, taking Bo on walks to reduce anxiety, and with getting permission she also gave him some calming treats which worked perfectly. She played with him and corrected those bad behaviors. Hannah truly has a full understanding of dogs and recognizing those anxious behaviors and also how to rectify them. I could not have had a sitter be a better fit to care for Bo while I was gone. I am particular who I trust with Bo, and I would absolutely trust Hannah with him anytime! He adores her and was so happy to see her with each visit. He became very comfortable with her after just a couple of visits. He just didn’t want her to leave. 😊 I’ve had other dog sitters in the past and she is by far the best!! Thanks so much for everything, Hannah!!

Hannah did a great job caring for my dog, Pippi, during about a week and a half of drop-in visits. She took Pip on a walk everyday, and Pippi loved her. She was great at sending Rover cards with pictures of Pippi and specific details about the drop-in. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter.

Micayla is awesome! We hadn't seen her in about a year and when we met again recently it was like catching up with an old friend, we were so glad she was still available. She delivered the same great care and reasonable pricing that we had received a year prior. Thanks Micayla! 11 out of 10!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
