“Samantha did a wonderful job with our crew of 2 Aussies, a Husky, and a rabbit. A high energy bunch for anyone. Not only did she make sure their basic needs of food, water, & potty time were taken care of, She also made friends with them, played with them, loved & cuddled them, and sent us updates & photos each day. We have already requested to have Samantha back for our next trip away.”

“Can't say enough about Tuongvi! Excellent service! She's our sitter of choice and she should be yours! I'm not much for long reviews. Let me just say I doubt there's any better sitter out there!”

“Jenna was amazing! Very open & communicative. Bella very clearly loved her as a sitter - she took great care of Bella and our home. Couldn’t recommend more! (Reluctantly leaving this review because we very much hope Jenna is available next time we need a dog sitter; but we won’t gate-keep—truly a great experience all around.)”

“Allison was amazing with our girls Milli and Maxi. She was responsive with all her replies, our special requests and we felt at ease with Allison taling care of our girls at home. The babies always had big smiles and were always very relaxed. Thanks for all the updates and a great job all around. The girls look forward to her next visit.”

“This is my second time using Sherry. As soon as she got to my house all of my babies were so excited and happy to see her. They absolutely love her!! She obviously treats them very well and sounds like she spoils them. I highly recommend her”

“Sherine is the absolute best! Multiple check ins every day with pictures and she cleans everything after her stay. Have used her before and will use her again and again!”

“Brittany took great care of my kitties and sent lots of pics to update me! Appreciated the timely feedings and super cute photos! The kitties obviously enjoyed her company.”

“11 out of 10. Ashley is an incredible dog and house sitter. She took amazing care of our senior pup and left our home better than she found it! What a dream to come home to a happy and clean pup in a house that was cleaner than we left it!”

“Sydney was absolutely wonderful! Before our appointment, she took the time to meet Mona, get familiar with our area, and understand all of her needs. On the day of the appointment, she was punctual, and kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciate it. Most importantly, Mona was so happy to spend time with her! I highly recommend Sydney and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Thank you Sydney!!!”

“Jasmine did an absolutely outstanding job dog sitting Miles and Chase while we were away on vacation! She went above and beyond with their care, providing regular updates and sharing plenty of pictures that kept our minds completely at ease. We were welcomed back to incredibly happy dogs and a beautifully clean home. Thank you, Jasmine, for everything! We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“It is with regret that I leave this review for Carla, because it will create more bookings making her calendar full which will make it difficult for me when I need her. Knowing I can't keep her just for myself, I'll tell the truth. Carla is fantastic, My two rescues (mom and son) were saved from a water drain, I adopted them from their foster mom. I had a sitter for over 1 and a half years and they never got very close to her, and I tried another one recently and they hid for 4 days until I got back home, not coming out for their wet food meals but would sneak out at night for their kibble. Frustrated, I searched intently and picked Carla to have her come over to meet my cat family. She came over, spent over an hour with me talking, hoping hearing her with me would calm them for her upcoming overnight stays. She came over an hour before I was to leave on my trip so they would hear us together again. I was still on the road of a short 2 hour trip and my cats were already coming out of hiding, they ate their dinner she gave them and stayed near her. THIS WAS HUGE, and by the 2nd day my boy was already playing with her, stealing her hair ties and letting her pet him and both cats were being themselves chasing each other around the apartment. They acted like she was family already, she even woke up to the mom kitty sleeping in small cat tree in the bedroom next to her, doing things they never even did with the first long term sitter and of course not the last one. There are not enough words to describe the total peace of mind Carla has brought to my life, the fact they both adapted to her in a couple of days is something I never thought could ever happen, and having to travel sometimes for up to 2 weeks, I can now relax and not fear being away when I need to be, and knowing I've been sent an angel. Don't tell everyone...I don't want her to get so busy she won't have time for us. Thank You Carla, so very much for being you!”

“If you want piece of mind, then Ellen is your person☺️ My dogs love every time she stays 🐶❤️🐶❤️. Ellen sends me updates & pictures throughout the time I am gone. & when I return & Ellen leaves my fur babies continue to look for her ☺️ Ellen is VERY responsible &&& leaves the house in perfect condition if not better when I come back home 🏆”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
About: I have been taking care of pets for family members and friends for over 5 years now. It started when a friend had an emergency out of town and needed help. It was a pleasure to sit in and feed, play, and send goofy pictures of my friend’s dog to provide ease and comfort during a hard time. I work full time and that means my cats are fed on a routine. They require a special diet that requires portioned meals and time to play. I have an active pet cam that I am able to use to talk to them when I am not home to provide comfort and time dispensers for treats. I will abide by your routine and follow directive on when to feed, when to walk, and when to provide or administer medication. Only you know your companion best and in order to provide safety and structure, as your care-taker it would be a privilege to honor your schedule and routine.

About: I grew up with rescue dogs of all backgrounds and needs, learning to react under pressure and be gentle, patient, and caring. I understand when dogs need attention, versus when they need space. I’m currently enrolled as a part time student, meaning my afternoons and weekends are free so I can spend plenty of time taking care of pets. I’m also currently on the search for a part time job so my availability is subject to change in the future. I have a fenced backyard with plenty of space to run and play, as well as two small and friendly dogs to keep yours company. If there is any conflict or trouble between them, I can always put them in their crate where they occasionally sleep. We have a variety of toys and a beautiful, safe neighborhood to go for walks in.
“My Bandit loves Aiden! He is great with dogs and so dependable. After staying with my dog for 10 days, he left the house in perfect condition. I will use him often and highly recommend him.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waller walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waller maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waller choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waller. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
