“Ellen was fantastic!! She took care of both our babies!! She was on time, she updated regularly with pictures. She left our home cleaned and even cleaned the coffee pot and made up the bed. We would definitely use her again!”

“Andrea was great with our pup! She kept him company while we were away and he was always happy to see her. We received many updates and pics and will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Tuongvi and her Boyfriend were available at the last minute for an out of state trip after another sitter fell through. Despite the stress that caused, I am so relieved it happened. I will absolutely be scheduling future overnights with them. My Boxer-Pit mix has separation anxiety and is dog/animal reactive. I have only left her overnight one other time so needless to say I was nervous about a long weekend away from her. Tuongvi was responsive and communicative from the minute I reached out about booking. She came over prior to the trip so I could show them my space and familiarize them and my dog. During my trip, I received regular pictures and updates. It was abundantly clear my dog was well cared for and loved.”

About: ever since I was 10, i’ve always taken care of dogs, whether it’s my own, or someone else’s. I I have tons of experience with puppies to senior dogs, and I always make sure to have the owner on speed dial whenever there’s possible questions or emergencies towards their pets. I’m an active person, so walking dogs isn’t a problem for me. I’ve always believed that dogs should get the same amount of exercise as us to keep them healthy, promotes better movement, and overall happiness for pets. As of right now, my schedule is completely free in the afternoon, especially on the weekends. The only days that I’m not available are major holidays. when it comes to supervising animals, I always make sure to give them my full attention. I make sure to have them in the room with me, and take the time to make sure to take them out to use the restroom every hour or two.
“Melissa was great! As a first time Rover user we were nervous, but she went above and beyond. She was on top of communication and provided lots of pictures throughout her stay. Our pets were happy and well cared for. Would def recommend and use her again in the future!”

I know the importance of communicating with pet parents as well my experience of ensuring animal safety, going to the vet, and specific diets. My sister has a pet business and I worked with her for a long time to gain more knowledge and experience hands on. I have a lot of experience with different sizes and breeds of dogs including grooming or pet-handling. Currently I am in school for drone operations and have a good amount of time to watch, love on, and enjoy taking care of your fur baby💗 For my clients no matter the service I provide photo and video updates, knowing how it feels to leave my furbaby with another person than me or my fiancé. I also keep my phone nearby so that I am able to quickly respond to any text or calls I may receive.
“She is great ., Thankful for her time spent with my furry boys., and they love her. I recommend her and will get her again to be my boys best-friend for days needed whenever she is available.”

About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog owner with daily hands-on experience. I care for my own bulldog, including administering eye and nose medications, daily walks, and regular feeding. I’m comfortable sticking to routines, handling special care needs, and making sure dogs feel safe, exercised, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care is already a built-in part of my daily routine. When I’m home from college baseball at Colorado State University Pueblo, I consistently care for my two dogs with daily feeding, walks, and attention, and I also help care for cats with feeding and litter box upkeep. I’m used to structuring my schedule around practices, training, and responsibilities, so I’m reliable, organized, and able to make pet care a priority throughout the day and week. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and needs, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow feeding schedules closely, provide daily walks and exercise, and make sure pets have plenty of attention and comfort. I’m attentive to cleanliness, including keeping food areas and litter boxes clean, and I carefully follow any special care instructions. My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent environment so pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

About: I grew up always having a dog, or three, in the house. This means I have many years experience of getting along with, and taking care of various small to medium breeds. Feeding, playing, petting, walking, and cleaning up after them. I have also sat for friends who went out of town, caring for dogs as well as cats. I just moved back into town and, aside from helping my parents with their two dogs, my summer schedule is wide open. I would love to fill the time by meeting you and caring for your precious pet(s)! I am quiet-natured and good at building trust with new furry friends. I am intentional and thorough when it comes to pet care as well as maintaining the home environment. I also love to send pictures to keep your mind at ease while your pets are in my care.
About: I’ve always owned a dog since being a young girl. I have raised puppies, owned ferrets, house watched birds, and have my very own doggo that I consider my own child (she’s got her own closet of clothes and is spoiled beyond belief). Our daily walk includes her breathing in fresh air as I rollerblade and then a round about walk/run to keep her in shape. I am a teacher so I work Monday-Friday but am free weekends. After school I dedicate my time to my fur baby. Lots of love and pets to give after a busy work day. Summer is neigh so I will be home 24/7 to give extra snuggles and the best dog vacation EVER for your pupper (or feline friend). I have a fenced in yard and a baby gate to allow for play in the living room and kitchen area. Doggos are allowed on furniture and plenty of dog beds and toys to play with. Owners are always allowed to bring a crate or any dog items to help your pupper feel more comfortable and acclimated.
“Leah was great with our two dogs and senior cat. She sent multiple photos throughout the stay of the dogs with her on the couch which showed us they liked and trusted her. She kept to a schedule each day of coming and going which was an added, unexpected bonus that I’m sure helped them. Her communication pre- and during the sit was prompt, friendly, and professional which was truly appreciated and she went above and beyond in how clean she left our home. We may try to plan our next trip around Leah’s availability as we felt our pets were in great hands!”

“Sherine was absolutely amazing with my boys! From the very beginning, communication was excellent — I received daily check-ins, photos, and thoughtful updates that kept me reassured the entire time I was away. It’s always nerve-wracking trusting someone new with your pets and your home, but Sherine exceeded my expectations on every level. My dogs clearly adored her and looked completely relaxed and happy in every photo she sent. She followed all instructions, respected my home, and left everything clean and in order when I returned. Her calm, reliable energy and genuine love for animals was clear from day one. I’m so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommended!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waller walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waller maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waller choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
