About: At the young age of 10 I started gaining experience in dog sitting, daycare, and taking animals on walks. I know the importance of communicating with pet parents as well my experience of ensuring animal safety, going to the vet, and specific diets. My sister has a pet business and I worked with her for a long time to gain more knowledge and experience hands on. I have a lot of experience with different sizes and breeds of dogs including grooming or pet-handling. Currently I am in school for drone operations and have a good amount of time to watch, love on, and enjoy taking care of your fur baby💗 For my clients no matter the service I provide photo and video updates, knowing how it feels to leave my furbaby with another person than me or my fiancé. I also keep my phone nearby so that I am able to quickly respond to any text or calls I may receive.

I had not left my fur babies with anyone since before COVID. Needless to say, I had a little bit of anxiety. My fur babies immediately fell in love with Erika and I knew they would be in good hands. I highly recommend Erika if you are looking for someone who will take great care of your pets.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I bring years of experience caring for both energetic puppies and senior pets. My last two dogs lived to the wonderful ages of 15 and 16, giving me invaluable insight into every stage of a pet’s life. Working from home allows me to provide constant attention, whether it’s for walks, potty breaks, or just companionship. I’m also highly organized and reliable, with reminders set to ensure medications or special care needs are never missed. Your pet will be in loving, experienced hands My flexible schedule is perfect for providing attentive and consistent care. Since I work from home, I’m available throughout the day and night for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles. This also means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will always have someone nearby for comfort and supervision. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, ensuring they feel secure and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in safe and caring hands. I prioritize your pet’s well-being by maintaining a secure environment, by keeping doors and gates locked, monitoring them during walks, or ensuring they stick to their normal routine as best as I can. Building trust with both you and your pet is my top priority, so you can rest assured knowing they’ll be treated with the same love and respect as my own.

About: I’ve always owned a dog since being a young girl. I have raised puppies, owned ferrets, house watched birds, and have my very own doggo that I consider my own child (she’s got her own closet of clothes and is spoiled beyond belief). Our daily walk includes her breathing in fresh air as I rollerblade and then a round about walk/run to keep her in shape. I am a teacher so I work Monday-Friday but am free weekends. After school I dedicate my time to my fur baby. Lots of love and pets to give after a busy work day. Summer is neigh so I will be home 24/7 to give extra snuggles and the best dog vacation EVER for your pupper (or feline friend). I have a fenced in yard and a baby gate to allow for play in the living room and kitchen area. Doggos are allowed on furniture and plenty of dog beds and toys to play with. Owners are always allowed to bring a crate or any dog items to help your pupper feel more comfortable and acclimated.

Leah was great with our two dogs and senior cat. She sent multiple photos throughout the stay of the dogs with her on the couch which showed us they liked and trusted her. She kept to a schedule each day of coming and going which was an added, unexpected bonus that I’m sure helped them. Her communication pre- and during the sit was prompt, friendly, and professional which was truly appreciated and she went above and beyond in how clean she left our home. We may try to plan our next trip around Leah’s availability as we felt our pets were in great hands!

About: I grew up always having a dog, or three, in the house. This means I have many years experience of getting along with, and taking care of various small to medium breeds. Feeding, playing, petting, walking, and cleaning up after them. I have also sat for friends who went out of town, caring for dogs as well as cats. I just moved back into town and, aside from helping my parents with their two dogs, my summer schedule is wide open. I would love to fill the time by meeting you and caring for your precious pet(s)! I am quiet-natured and good at building trust with new furry friends. I am intentional and thorough when it comes to pet care as well as maintaining the home environment. I also love to send pictures to keep your mind at ease while your pets are in my care.

About: Hi! I’m Karina, and I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I started pet sitting for neighbors when I was 10 years old, including overnight stays, and since then I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. One of my biggest experiences was independently caring for a privately owned dog rescue with over 20 dogs. From energetic young dogs, like a 9-month-old German Shepherd–Husky mix, to a blind senior small breed dog, I learned that every dog has their own unique needs, personality, and routine. I also worked at a dog grooming salon, where I gained even more experience handling dogs and making sure they felt safe and comfortable. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I’m happy to provide the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free from start to finish. I’m currently home for the summer, which means I have open and flexible availability for pet sitting, walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m able to accommodate a variety of schedules and can give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. When caring for your pet in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll carefully follow any instructions you leave regarding feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, bedtime routines, and any special preferences your pet may have. Every dog is different, so I take the time to learn their personality and adjust my care to what makes them feel most comfortable. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own by keeping things clean, secure, and organized while you’re away. Throughout each stay, I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is for you to return home to a relaxed pet and a home that’s just as you left it.

FAQs for House Sitting - Waller

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Waller on Rover is $56.63 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,735 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Waller. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Waller walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Waller maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waller choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waller. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
