“Zoe was great! Lots of communication and she took great care of our pups. She was even willing to run back to our house to save a package from the rain for me when it came later than expected!”
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve honestly never known what it’s like to not have a dog around. My dog Delilah means so much to me. I raised her from the time she was just 2 weeks old, and she’s now 10 years old. We’ve been together through so many stages of life, and she’s taught me a lot about being patient, understanding, and really paying attention to what a dog needs. Over the years, I’ve taught Delilah things like sit, lay down, roll over, play dead, crawl, and how to walk on a leash without pulling. I learned a lot by watching training videos and just taking the time to work with her. Every dog is different, and I think getting to know their personality and earning their trust is one of the best parts of caring for them. Before I got my degree, I also worked at an animal hospital, so I’ve had experience being around and caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m doing Rover part-time because I genuinely love being around dogs and animals. I enjoy getting to know each pet, spending time with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I’ll treat your pet with the same love and attention I would want someone to give Delilah. My availability will vary since I’m also starting a new remote job. During my first six weeks of training, I’ll mainly be available certain days from Friday through Sunday, with Fridays available after 4 PM. I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated as I get my work schedule. I currently do Rover part-time, so I can work with different routines depending on what works best for you and your pet. Starting September 4, I’ll be available after 4 PM. I’ll also be starting a remote job with a six-week training period on September 14th , so during that time I’ll mainly be available on certain days from Friday through Sunday. Once I know my work schedule, I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated so you’ll always know when I’m available. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and attention they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions and make sure I care for their pets the way they’re used to. I keep a schedule for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and anything else they may need throughout the day. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and affection while they’re in my care.

“Jasmine took such good care of our two cats! She was referred to us when we learned about a last-minute trip we needed to take over the weekend, and we were so glad that Jasmine was available to cat sit in our home while we were away. The kitties seemed as happy as always when we returned, so we know Jasmine took great care of them, including food, play, and outside time. Jasmine also checked-in with us when she had questions, and we were so glad for that. Thank you, Jasmine!”

About: I have a genuine passion for animals and experience caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and preferences, and I take the time to provide them with the the care they deserve. I’m currently working full time Monday-Thursday. I am available Friday-Sunday to be a helping hand for your pets everyday personal needs. (can make schedule changes in advance from time to time). Caring for another one’s pet is as important to me as it’s important to you. I can ensure safety and trustworthy services. Understanding each pet has a different need is my skill. I’m here to remind you, your pet is special.
“Terra was great and took such good care of my cat while I was away. She sent frequent daily updates with pictures which was so appreciated. I will definitely contact Terra for a future stay!”

““Adien was great! My dogs absolutely loved him. He sent pictures throughout the day and night, which gave me great peace of mind. He even stayed a couple of nights with them, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. I highly recommend Adien!””

“Milla was wonderful! I didn’t worry at all. She house sat my two dogs for 3 nights. She sent photos, gave me updates along the way. She left the house spic and span, not needed… greatly appreciated. Have already rebooked.”

“Meg is fantastic, our animals love her. She sends great update photos and get consistent updates on how everyone was when she drops in. I’d be happy to rebook her anytime we needed someone to watch our pets.”

About: I have been trusted to watch several of my neighbors, family friends, and even teachers houses and pets. Playing, walking, and taking care of animals is one of my passions and I adapt to every personality and type of dog to make sure they are happy. I work minimal hours away from home so I will be there for most of the day every day. I work part time (usually from 4-7:30) so I will be home with your pets very frequently! On top of that, I also have full availability on weekends. I am able to walk, play, cuddle, and do anything that your pets enjoy! I am adaptable to each animal and take care of them in ways that creates a stress free, happy environment for them.

“Sherry came to the rescue at the last minute to stay for 4 days with my pups after my dogsitter cancelled. I was unable to meet her but she graciously met my best friend to be introduced to Finn and Charlie. She played ball with them and gave them lots of snuggles as well as sent photos and stayed in communication with us while we were gone. Will be calling Sherry in the future.”

About: With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of my own, I've developed a deep understanding of the consistency and attention pets require at every life stage. I have also worked in a shelter environment, where I was frequently relied upon to calm anxious animals and build trust with dogs that were more difficult to reach. This experience is complemented by five years of dog walking and pet sitting, giving me a well-rounded ability to assess an animal's comfort level and provide attentive, reliable care. I approach every pet with the same level of professionalism, patience, and genuine care I bring to my own. I currently have a flexible, open schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to your pet. I'm available for boarding any day of the week, along with walks, drop-ins, and playtime throughout the day. I try to keep a consistent routine so your pet always knows what to expect, and I can work around whatever timing works best for you. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or yours, I prioritize a calm, safe, and comfortable environment at all times. In my own home, pets have a secure, pet-proofed space to relax and play, with constant supervision — no unsupervised outdoor time and careful introductions to any other animals. In a pet owner's home, I respect their existing routine, keep their space clean and secure, and make sure doors and gates stay closed. I always stay alert to each pet's comfort level and adjust my approach to help them feel safe and at ease.
About: I have grown up around dogs of all kinds and sizes. My two childhood pets were a Labrador mix and a scottish terrier. Now i help out with my siblings more energetic breeds including a german shepherd mix and an australian shepherd. I even have my own fur baby, who is a sweet ragdoll cat. I’m comfortable around all breeds for both dogs and cats, and understand that every animal has different needs and boundaries when it comes to meeting someone new. I have a very open and flexible schedule that allows me to check on your pets multiple times a day if you prefer. For drop in visits, i can provide up to 3 visits a day, and i can offer dog walking as well. House sitting is an option I offer as long as I am given 3 days notice in advance. I prefer to watch dogs in their own space since i have a cat who is afraid of them. Instead i prefer watching any pets in their own space. I can provide playtime and cuddle time, and can even walk dogs as long as they are leash trained.
“Samantha did a wonderful job with our crew of 2 Aussies, a Husky, and a rabbit. A high energy bunch for anyone. Not only did she make sure their basic needs of food, water, & potty time were taken care of, She also made friends with them, played with them, loved & cuddled them, and sent us updates & photos each day. We have already requested to have Samantha back for our next trip away.”

About: I have seven years of experience caring for puppies and adult dogs, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. I’m comfortable with everything from playful puppies to older dogs who prefer a slower pace. I provide patient, attentive, and loving care while making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Since I work part-time, I have plenty of flexibility in my daily schedule to give dogs the attention, exercise, and care they need. I’m available most days and can easily fit pet care into my routine. The only exception is Tuesdays and Thursdays, when I’m available before 5 PM. I’m happy to work with your schedule and make sure your pet gets consistent, reliable care. When caring for dogs in your home, I focus on keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and any other care they’re used to. I’ll give them plenty of attention and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own.
“Sandra took amazing care of our boys and our home! I didn’t have time to pick up a shredded toy (aka so much stuffing) in my office before leaving and came home to perfectly clean floors. So amazing and grateful we chose Sandra to care for our babies and our space!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Magnolia
Viviana was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of our dogs, Hazel and Ziion, as well as our home while we were away. She was sweet, attentive, responsible, and followed all of our instructions perfectly. She made sure the dogs had fresh water, took them outside, and left everything clean, secure, and in great shape. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing that our dogs were happy and well cared for and that our home was in good hands. We really appreciated how thoughtful and communicative she was throughout her stay. We would absolutely recommend Viviana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. We will definitely be reaching out to her again the next time we need someone to watch Hazel and Ziion! 🐾🤍

Priscilla took excellent care of Doozer while she was staying with him. She kept up with his food schedule and meds, and kept me updated daily. She also cleaned up after herself including laundering her sheets and towels and cleaned her bathroom. She was exceptional! It was my first time using a sitter in my home and it was a highly favorable experience.

Love Jadyn and so do our dogs. I know I can count on her to take care of our house and home, without any concerns. And she walks our dog reactive dogs, which is no easy task. Plus, she came back after the sitting time had ended to let our dogs out again when our flight was delayed 8 hours. Super great when we are able to book with her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Magnolia walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Magnolia maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Magnolia choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
