About: I grew up around animals and have always loved them like family. I'm extremely passionate about providing you and your furbabies the best experience possible! I'm very attentive to directions given to me about your dog's care, as well as to their needs and behavior. I get along very well with all kinds of dogs and will be a great playmate and an excellent cuddler for them. I am kind, gentle and loving, and so have a knack for bringing timid animals out of their shells. I'm considering taking the first steps towards being an animal behaviorist, so I'll take any training assignments very seriously (while still making it a blast for your pet, of course). In the past I've been able to train my parents' hyper and somewhat skittish dog to allow handling of her paws for nail trims in less than 5 full days of a visit. My schedule is currently clear aside from other sittings. When I'm at home I hang out with my family's cat and two dogs, who I help care for and keep entertained. I find caring for pets to be highly specific to the individuals' routines and needs. During the meet and greet, I'll probably ask about what your daily routine looks like and how I can best maintain that stability for your buddy while you're away. I'll want to know about details like areas in the home that your pet could escape through or hurt themselves in, any current training/adjusting I could help with, and any favorite toys or games they might have. Be as detailed as you want, I couldn't possibly learn too much about your pet when it comes to their care.
About: I’ve cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors since I was a kid. I’m experienced with puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior pets who need extra care and attention. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home part of the week, which allows me to be flexible and available most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and extended care. I care for pets exclusively in their own home to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow all instructions carefully, maintain a clean environment, prioritize safety, and provide regular updates.
About: With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of my own, I've developed a deep understanding of the consistency and attention pets require at every life stage. I have also worked in a shelter environment, where I was frequently relied upon to calm anxious animals and build trust with dogs that were more difficult to reach. This experience is complemented by five years of dog walking and pet sitting, giving me a well-rounded ability to assess an animal's comfort level and provide attentive, reliable care. I approach every pet with the same level of professionalism, patience, and genuine care I bring to my own. I currently have a flexible, open schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to your pet. I'm available for boarding any day of the week, along with walks, drop-ins, and playtime throughout the day. I try to keep a consistent routine so your pet always knows what to expect, and I can work around whatever timing works best for you. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or yours, I prioritize a calm, safe, and comfortable environment at all times. In my own home, pets have a secure, pet-proofed space to relax and play, with constant supervision — no unsupervised outdoor time and careful introductions to any other animals. In a pet owner's home, I respect their existing routine, keep their space clean and secure, and make sure doors and gates stay closed. I always stay alert to each pet's comfort level and adjust my approach to help them feel safe and at ease.

I truly value the relationship I have with animals and can guarantee to always be diligent, patient, and attentive no matter their personality traits! About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve honestly never known what it’s like to not have a dog around. My dog Delilah means so much to me. I raised her from the time she was just 2 weeks old, and she’s now 10 years old. We’ve been together through so many stages of life, and she’s taught me a lot about being patient, understanding, and really paying attention to what a dog needs. Over the years, I’ve taught Delilah things like sit, lay down, roll over, play dead, crawl, and how to walk on a leash without pulling. I learned a lot by watching training videos and just taking the time to work with her. Every dog is different, and I think getting to know their personality and earning their trust is one of the best parts of caring for them. Before I got my degree, I also worked at an animal hospital, so I’ve had experience being around and caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m doing Rover part-time because I genuinely love being around dogs and animals. I enjoy getting to know each pet, spending time with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I’ll treat your pet with the same love and attention I would want someone to give Delilah. My availability will vary since I’m also starting a new remote job. During my first six weeks of training, I’ll mainly be available certain days from Friday through Sunday, with Fridays available after 4 PM. I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated as I get my work schedule. I currently do Rover part-time, so I can work with different routines depending on what works best for you and your pet. Starting September 4, I’ll be available after 4 PM. I’ll also be starting a remote job with a six-week training period on September 14th , so during that time I’ll mainly be available on certain days from Friday through Sunday. Once I know my work schedule, I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated so you’ll always know when I’m available. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and attention they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions and make sure I care for their pets the way they’re used to. I keep a schedule for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and anything else they may need throughout the day. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and affection while they’re in my care.
About: My beloved shih tzu passed recently after long and adventurous 14 years. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old, so I’m very well familiar with puppy stage as well as senior years. I was very attached to my doggie and know a lot about small breed needs and temperament. I’m also available to care for medium size dogs on case by case basis. Please, contact me for more information. I work from home full time and can give your pet plenty of attention, exercise and potty breaks. We always have someone at home, so your pet would always have company. I strive to provide the same care your pet would get at home. As a small dog owner I struggled to find a good sitter for my Shih Tzu, so I want to be that one person you can trust with your pet. I never book multiple families at the same time, so your pet will have all of my attention and care. I have a large house and a few acres of land to run around and have fun. We do not have any other pets right now, but we do have 2 small children who are gentle and great with animals.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
