About: I learned at an early age how important it is to respect any animal's space and autonomy, especially cats. When I meet a cat, my goal is to simply be a part of the environment. They can come say hi, if they show they're receptive to petting or cuddling I'll happily oblige, and if not, I'm unmoved. Few things make a cat (or most animals, in my experience) more uncomfortable than being stalked or chased by someone that thinks they're making a friend. This attitude has won over several shy cats throughout the course of my life, including my childhood cat who I found as a stray and earned her trust until she came home with me on her own. Her first family openly said they had kicked her out and wouldn't feed her or let her in anymore, so we knew for sure she needed a home. Before and since taking her in, I've met and helped (and been avoided by) plenty of cats. I'm not a dog or a cat person, I just love animals and their individuality.

About: I previously had a vizsla and a GSP so I’m very familiar with high energy breeds! I have extensive experience fostering and previously worked at a small animal emergency and specialty hospital. I work from home! When I leave for any errands I can crate if needed or leave them out with my dog if they are used to that. I have a fenced back yard and the border of the 5.5 acres is all fully fenced. I have crates, dog beds and plenty of toys but you’re welcome to bring your own!

My schedule is very flexible as long as the little one can tag along for the ride! Life is too short to not cuddle on the couch with your pup! All my guests are allowed on the living room furniture. My kitties have first dibs of the bed at night but your pet will either have free range of the living room or in their crate if they are crate trained. We have a gated property where your pups can run around and let off some energy, and inside we have a perfectly conditioned "pup spa room" where they can relax and enjoy their rest, complete with kennels if you need them to be kenneled for naps if they need them. About: My beloved shih tzu passed recently after long and adventurous 14 years. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old, so I’m very well familiar with puppy stage as well as senior years. I was very attached to my doggie and know a lot about small breed needs and temperament. I’m also available to care for medium size dogs on case by case basis. As a dog owner myself, I struggled to find a good sitter for my Shih Tzu, so I want to be that one person you can trust with your pet. Im very well aware of the needs and special care that small breed dogs require. I never book multiple families at the same time, so your pet will have all of my attention and care without the worry of other dogs around. I have a 1 story house and a large yard that’s perfect for small dogs, especially those that are older and have trouble with stairs. We do not have any other pets right now, but we do have 2 small children who are gentle and great with animals.

About: I grew up around animals and have always loved them like family. I'm extremely passionate about providing you and your furbabies the best experience possible! I'm very attentive to directions given to me about your dog's care, as well as to their needs and behavior. I get along very well with all kinds of dogs and will be a great playmate and an excellent cuddler for them. I am kind, gentle and loving, and so have a knack for bringing timid animals out of their shells. I'm considering taking the first steps towards being an animal behaviorist, so I'll take any training assignments very seriously (while still making it a blast for your pet, of course). In the past I've been able to train my parents' hyper and somewhat skittish dog to allow handling of her paws for nail trims in less than 5 full days of a visit. My schedule is currently clear aside from other sittings. When I'm at home I hang out with my family's cat and two dogs, who I help care for and keep entertained. I find caring for pets to be highly specific to the individuals' routines and needs. During the meet and greet, I'll probably ask about what your daily routine looks like and how I can best maintain that stability for your buddy while you're away. I'll want to know about details like areas in the home that your pet could escape through or hurt themselves in, any current training/adjusting I could help with, and any favorite toys or games they might have. Be as detailed as you want, I couldn't possibly learn too much about your pet when it comes to their care.
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve honestly never known what it’s like to not have a dog around. My dog Delilah means so much to me. I raised her from the time she was just 2 weeks old, and she’s now 10 years old. We’ve been together through so many stages of life, and she’s taught me a lot about being patient, understanding, and really paying attention to what a dog needs. Over the years, I’ve taught Delilah things like sit, lay down, roll over, play dead, crawl, and how to walk on a leash without pulling. I learned a lot by watching training videos and just taking the time to work with her. Every dog is different, and I think getting to know their personality and earning their trust is one of the best parts of caring for them. Before I got my degree, I also worked at an animal hospital, so I’ve had experience being around and caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m doing Rover part-time because I genuinely love being around dogs and animals. I enjoy getting to know each pet, spending time with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I’ll treat your pet with the same love and attention I would want someone to give Delilah. My availability will vary since I’m also starting a new remote job. During my first six weeks of training, I’ll mainly be available certain days from Friday through Sunday, with Fridays available after 4 PM. I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated as I get my work schedule. I currently do Rover part-time, so I can work with different routines depending on what works best for you and your pet. Starting September 4, I’ll be available after 4 PM. I’ll also be starting a remote job with a six-week training period on September 14th , so during that time I’ll mainly be available on certain days from Friday through Sunday. Once I know my work schedule, I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated so you’ll always know when I’m available. About: My beloved shih tzu passed recently after long and adventurous 14 years. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old, so I’m very well familiar with puppy stage as well as senior years. I was very attached to my doggie and know a lot about small breed needs and temperament. I’m also available to care for medium size dogs on case by case basis. Please, contact me for more information. I stay home and I’m able to provide your pet with great care and attention. Occasionally, I might have to step out, but it’s never longer than 1-2 hrs. Most of the time, someone is home, so your pet will always have company . I strive to provide the same care your pet would get at home. As a dog owner myself, I struggled to find a good sitter for my Shih Tzu, so I want to be that one person you can trust with your pet. Im very well aware of the needs and special care that small breed dogs require. I never book multiple families at the same time, so your pet will have all of my attention and care without the worry of other dogs around. I have a 1 story house and a large yard that’s perfect for small dogs, especially those that are older and have trouble with stairs. We do not have any other pets right now, but we do have 2 small children who are gentle and great with animals.

She took great care of a puppy full of energy without even a hint of regret but provided a happy, loving and playful atmosphere that allowed me to handle my business. Communication level as needed, very responsive and always provided pictures… which honestly had me jealous because I’m pretty sure my dog wants to stay there forever. “Christina‘s passion for dogs is evident when you first meet her. Her house is set up to accommodate the dogs. She has a kitty pool for them to play in their backyard. She takes them on walks twice a day and is very loving towards the dogs. She effectively communicated the entire time we were out of town sending pictures and updates. I would very much consider using her again.”

“Christy is one of the best dog sitters we've ever had. She and her family are wonderful people who genuinely love dogs, and it truly shows in the way they care for them. She went above and beyond to make sure our dog was comfortable and happy throughout his stay. Our dog is a very picky eater and refused to eat his kibble, so Christy thoughtfully offered him eggs, cheese, chicken jerky, and even some of the homemade food they prepared for their own dogs to ensure he was eating well. Our dog also enjoyed plenty of playtime. Their large backyard gave him lots of room to run around and burn off energy, and Christy even gave him ice to help him stay cool in the hot Houston weather. One thing we especially appreciated was Christy's excellent communication. She kept us updated throughout the stay and shared plenty of photos and videos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to see how happy and comfortable our dog was. We couldn't have asked for better care. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like a member of the family, I highly recommend Christy. You can leave your dog with complete peace of mind, knowing they will receive exceptional care, love, and attention.”
