“This was our first time using Rover, and I am so happy we found Ellen! Our dogs were well taken care of while we were gone, and Ellen provided multiple updates and photos throughout the day giving us full reassurance that our pups were in great hands.”

About: Hi I’m skye I love dogs especially little dogs and puppies. I do have my own dog so if you board or doggy day care he has a friend to play with and there own room with lots of toys to play with. I’ve been watching dogs for friends not only in my home but house sitting as well so I’m very trust worthy. Every time I see a stray I can’t help rescuing every chance I get. If you want to bring your dogs toys or crate your more then welcome. If you have strict rules for your pet please let me know or leave a list for me. If you want your dog being watched by a real dog lover I’m definitely the one to use.
About: I’ve always owned a dog since being a young girl. I have raised puppies, owned ferrets, house watched birds, and have my very own doggo that I consider my own child (she’s got her own closet of clothes and is spoiled beyond belief). Our daily walk includes her breathing in fresh air as I rollerblade and then a round about walk/run to keep her in shape. I am a teacher so I work Monday-Friday but am free weekends. After school I dedicate my time to my fur baby. Lots of love and pets to give after a busy work day. Summer is neigh so I will be home 24/7 to give extra snuggles and the best dog vacation EVER for your pupper (or feline friend). I have a fenced in yard and a baby gate to allow for play in the living room and kitchen area. Doggos are allowed on furniture and plenty of dog beds and toys to play with. Owners are always allowed to bring a crate or any dog items to help your pupper feel more comfortable and acclimated.
“Carolina was wonderful and really gave us peace of mind during our trip. She was excellent at communicating and giving updates to us and also left our home clean. She will definitely be rebooked by us in the future!”

About: I have been taking care of pets for family members and friends for over 5 years now. It started when a friend had an emergency out of town and needed help. It was a pleasure to sit in and feed, play, and send goofy pictures of my friend’s dog to provide ease and comfort during a hard time. I work full time and that means my cats are fed on a routine. They require a special diet that requires portioned meals and time to play. I have an active pet cam that I am able to use to talk to them when I am not home to provide comfort and time dispensers for treats. I will abide by your routine and follow directive on when to feed, when to walk, and when to provide or administer medication. Only you know your companion best and in order to provide safety and structure, as your care-taker it would be a privilege to honor your schedule and routine.

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I bring years of experience caring for both energetic puppies and senior pets. My last two dogs lived to the wonderful ages of 15 and 16, giving me invaluable insight into every stage of a pet’s life. Working from home allows me to provide constant attention, whether it’s for walks, potty breaks, or just companionship. I’m also highly organized and reliable, with reminders set to ensure medications or special care needs are never missed. Your pet will be in loving, experienced hands My flexible schedule is perfect for providing attentive and consistent care. Since I work from home, I’m available throughout the day and night for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles. This also means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will always have someone nearby for comfort and supervision. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, ensuring they feel secure and well cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in safe and caring hands. I prioritize your pet’s well-being by maintaining a secure environment, by keeping doors and gates locked, monitoring them during walks, or ensuring they stick to their normal routine as best as I can. Building trust with both you and your pet is my top priority, so you can rest assured knowing they’ll be treated with the same love and respect as my own.
About: I have had many animals! I currently have 3 dobermans, 1 malinois/doberman mix, and 2 cats. I also have a medical foster dog (amputee pitbull). I have medical foster experience, and experience with all types of dogs and cats, senior and puppy/kitty as well. I am unemployed for the summer! I am a music major in college so I am not currently working. I can work every day of the week at all hours. I am obsessed with animals so I am constantly petting, playing, and caring for my animals. Animals are my greatest joy in life!! I am great at reading body language, providing needs specific to your animal, and making sure that the animal feels as happy as possible in THEIR language. (I will slow blink at your cat)
About: At the young age of 10 I started gaining experience in dog sitting, daycare, and taking animals on walks. I know the importance of communicating with pet parents as well my experience of ensuring animal safety, going to the vet, and specific diets. My sister has a pet business and I worked with her for a long time to gain more knowledge and experience hands on. I have a lot of experience with different sizes and breeds of dogs including grooming or pet-handling. Currently I am in school for drone operations and have a good amount of time to watch, love on, and enjoy taking care of your fur baby💗 For my clients no matter the service I provide photo and video updates, knowing how it feels to leave my furbaby with another person than me or my fiancé. I also keep my phone nearby so that I am able to quickly respond to any text or calls I may receive.
“Lana took the best care of our two pups while we were away! She provided updates with sweet pictures of our dogs. Lana was quick to respond. Our dogs were so calm and relaxed when we got home and our house was just as we left it! We will definitely be using Lana again in the future to look after our dogs. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for someone kind and trustworthy to watch after their fur babies!”

“Aiden was a great help watching Mickie when I went on vacation. My flight home got delayed 2 days due to weather and he was able to extend his stay and take care of her until I got back.”
“Michaela was amazing! She took such good care of our fur babies. She communicated very well and sent many updates. The house was even cleaner than when I left it. I would recommend Michaela to any friend.”

“Sherry came to the rescue at the last minute to stay for 4 days with my pups after my dogsitter cancelled. I was unable to meet her but she graciously met my best friend to be introduced to Finn and Charlie. She played ball with them and gave them lots of snuggles as well as sent photos and stayed in communication with us while we were gone. Will be calling Sherry in the future.”

“Jenna was excellent and we would definitely have her back to care for our animals. Her communication was top notch! Jenna went above and beyond when our dog got sick on the last day and she had to clean up quite a mess. Not only did she take a crate outside to wash, she also washed two of our three dogs as well. Highly recommend !”

“Tuongvi and her Boyfriend were available at the last minute for an out of state trip after another sitter fell through. Despite the stress that caused, I am so relieved it happened. I will absolutely be scheduling future overnights with them. My Boxer-Pit mix has separation anxiety and is dog/animal reactive. I have only left her overnight one other time so needless to say I was nervous about a long weekend away from her. Tuongvi was responsive and communicative from the minute I reached out about booking. She came over prior to the trip so I could show them my space and familiarize them and my dog. During my trip, I received regular pictures and updates. It was abundantly clear my dog was well cared for and loved.”

About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog owner with daily hands-on experience. I care for my own bulldog, including administering eye and nose medications, daily walks, and regular feeding. I’m comfortable sticking to routines, handling special care needs, and making sure dogs feel safe, exercised, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care is already a built-in part of my daily routine. When I’m home from college baseball at Colorado State University Pueblo, I consistently care for my two dogs with daily feeding, walks, and attention, and I also help care for cats with feeding and litter box upkeep. I’m used to structuring my schedule around practices, training, and responsibilities, so I’m reliable, organized, and able to make pet care a priority throughout the day and week. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and needs, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow feeding schedules closely, provide daily walks and exercise, and make sure pets have plenty of attention and comfort. I’m attentive to cleanliness, including keeping food areas and litter boxes clean, and I carefully follow any special care instructions. My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent environment so pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,418 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fields Store. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fields Store walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fields Store maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fields Store choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fields Store. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
