“Leana took such great care of, Watson. Kept him entertained and well looked after. I cannot think of a better person to watch my little guy when I’m away. Thank you, Leana. You’re amazing!”

“We are always nervous leaving our two doggies with a new sitter, but Zakk's meet and greet went so well that we knew our pups would be in good hands. They took an instant liking to him and from the very first photos that Zakk sent, we knew that they would be well cared for while we were away. Hiring Zakk came with a couple of extra bonuses - one, he's an experienced dog trainer and not only did he walk our pups as requested, but in addition he provided individual care (extra walkies/runs) for them. In one week, he turned two barky puppies into well behaved, much less reactive critters. We are absolutely amazed at the difference one week with Zakk made for our fur babies. They are no longer barking their fool heads off at dinner time or when people/vehicles pass our windows. In addition to this amazing transformation, Zakk and his service dog provided socialization in our home which provided another learning experience for our dogs. Not only did they hang out together, they actually played with one another, which Zakk said was unusual and positive for all three dogs. In addition to the outstanding pet care, Zakk also did the laundry, watered the plants on the landing, and left the house in good shape. We highly recommend Zakk for dog sitting and hope he's available the next time we leave and need care for our pups.”

About: Aloha! I'm Shanon, a naturopathic physician who loves to take care of pets in people's homes. I began caring for my neighbor's cat when I was 10 years old, graduating to dog care in my teens. Since then I have done pet sits in many states and countries, seeing some pets through their lifetimes. My clients have included dogs, cats, bunnies, tortoises, snails, fish and birds. I have also cared for chickens and horses and am willing to look after small farm animals such as goats and sheep. If requested, I take care of gardens/plants, mail/packages and any other issues that may arise while you are gone. Want local or distance references? There are many. Please ask for them! I look forward to hearing from you. Aloha, Shanon Much of my work is online so that I can spend the maximum amount of time with your furry, feathered and scaled friends - I aim to be at home 75% of the time. I treat all pets as my own so they get the attention, love and care they deserve. My services can also include administering medication (pills, subcutaneous injections for cats, insulin shots etc). I strive for your home to be in the same, if not better condition than when you left, and for your pets to be as well-tended to when you are away as when you are home.
“Great person. She loved our dogs and we needed that to entrust them into her care. She also was very responsible as she watched them at our house in our absence. I would recommend her to anyone who truly loves their dogs.”

About: I started watching (overnight and taking on walks) dogs at the age of 11. I absolutely adore your furry friends, and can't get enough love from the pups. Since I don't own any puppies of my own (though I do get to watch and walk my grandmother's dog often), I absolutely adore getting to steal other peoples' pups even for just a few hours! I always send pictures to the owners, but you can tell me if you'd prefer less or more! Seeing as I am out of school, and don't work a full time job, am am available for a lot of hours. This being said, I have picked up a couple other gigs lifeguarding and babysitting, so I say I am not available for potty breaks less than every 8 hours just because if there are days I do both lifeguarding and babysitting I wont be able to. That being said, outside of those two gigs, your pups (or cats), are my top priority! Seeing as I am unable to host pets in my home at this time, I would be seeing the pets in your home. I am very comfortable with this, as I often sleep overnight at one of my friends family's house when they are away in order to watch their pups. I am also happy to water plants or anything else to be of help to you.
“Izchel was amazing! It was my first time using a dog/house sitter. She took great care of my 3 standard poodles. She stayed at my house with them & everything was neat & tidy & my dogs were calm & relaxed when I got home. She kept me updated while I was away & asked questions if she needed clarification. She went above & beyond, I will definitely use her again.”

About: Although I recently joined Rover, I have taken care of animals consistently for 3 years+ on the Islands with excellent references and past experiences. I moved 2 years ago to the Islands to pursue working with animals full time and follow my calling to be of service to animals in a deeper way. I am vegan and have been for 6 years now for my love and respect of animals. I also grew up with a dog and cat so have years of experience with them, including training my dog when he was a puppy ~ I have experience with puppies & kittens, adult dogs and senior dogs of all sizes. I also have experience with farm animals (horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys) I have administered medications to animals as well - I love to spend as much quality time as I can like going on long walks, riding to the beach together, and cozily working from home together so that they can feel loved and cared for while you are away🌺 I work full time online as a women’s coach and can work from anywhere - I can work my schedule around any needs or any special requests that you have for them - I want to keep them as comfortable as possible and staying close to their daily routines I take care of animals typically in the client’s home, always respecting your home and leaving it cleaner than I found it 🪷 I have also done other work around the house such as taking care of clients’ airbnbs, plant care, and am happy to take care of your garden or do any extra chores/tasks

We have completed house sits on Oahu and the Big Island and have earned 5-star reviews reflecting our reliability, communication, and care. I bring a background volunteering with an animal rescue organization where I fostered animals, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and care needs. We take the responsibility and exchange of house sitting seriously and are meticulous about following instructions, maintaining routines, and caring for homes respectfully. What sets us apart is the amount of time we naturally spend at home. You can also expect: • Excellent communication and regular photo updates • Strong attention to detail and routine-following • Respectful care of homes, artwork, gardens, plants, and outdoor spaces • Experience with tropical homes and environments from both Hawaii house sits and 5 years living in Florida • Clean, tidy, and conscientious home care I am a lifelong dog owner and have experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments through personal ownership, rescue fostering, house sitting, and pet sitting. Experience includes breeds and mixes such as: • German Shepherds • Labrador Retrievers • Australian Shepherds • Bernese Mountain Dogs • Small companion breeds • Mixed breeds and rescue dogs I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, supervised outdoor time, reinforcing owner routines, and adapting to different activity levels and personalities. I understand that every dog has its own temperament and routine, and I prioritize keeping their schedule familiar and low stress. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. My husband joins me on sits and works remotely, and with young children we spend a large amount of time at home. This means pets receive plenty of dedicated time, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Our routine works especially well for pets that benefit from human presence, consistency, playtime, and affection. We prioritize: • Morning and evening routines • Walks and exercise schedules • Feeding consistency • Playtime and enrichment • Companionship throughout the day • Maintaining established household routines We care for homes and pets with the understanding that this is a meaningful exchange built on trust. “Amy was available at the last minute. She was able to work around her schedule to accommodate my request. She did a great job! My cat warmed up to her, which is no easy feat. I would use her again.”

About: Aloha! I’m a tradesman by day and animal-lover 24/7. I’ve had animals since i was born and know they’re more than pets, they’re true ‘ohana. Taking care of your ‘ohana isn’t a job, it’s a connection. I’d be honored to take care of your ‘ohana. I’ve volunteered at various shelters across a couple states; from quick walks to multi-hour hikes, from playing fetch to administering medication, i will treat them as my own. Mahalo! I do have a full-time job, as a carpenter, so i am occupied Monday thru Friday, from 6am-4pm. Any animal that needs to be let outside will be taken care of every morning, every afternoon, and at lunchtime if possible. We can discuss what kind of schedule would make you (and your animal(s) the most comfortable! I believe there’s no better comfort for an animal than being in their home. I find it more tolerable for animals to get used to a new person rather than a new person AND a new habitat. My commitment is to making your time away from your animals as smooth as possible for you and them.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve personally cared for dogs, cats, and small animals throughout my life, and my experience extends well beyond pet ownership. I hold a degree in biology with coursework focused on animal behavior, physiology, and research. This background helps me better understand animal body language, behavior, and individual needs. I’ve worked with a wide variety of species, including exotic hoofstock and birds in a zoological setting, as well as pigs, goats, and birds through wildlife rescue and animal care work. In addition, I spent approximately three years working in an animal shelter environment, where I handled and photographed thousands of dogs to help them find loving homes. Through that experience, I learned how to safely interact with dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether your pet is outgoing, shy, energetic, a senior, or requires a little extra patience, I strive to provide attentive, reliable care tailored to their individual personality and routine. I’m a small business owner and public school teacher, which gives me a structured but flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I currently have more availability during weekends, school holidays, and breaks (especially during the summer months), when I can offer extended and consistent care for pets and house sitting. During the school year on regular weekdays, I’m typically available in the mornings and evenings, with greater flexibility on weekends. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and needs to see what works best for your pet’s routine. I care deeply about consistency and communication, so pets feel settled, safe, and well cared for, and owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure feeding, walks, medication, and daily routines are completed on time and as directed. I treat every home with a high level of respect and care, keeping spaces clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. I’m mindful of both the pet’s needs and the owner’s home, and I prioritize reliability, safety, and consistency in every visit or stay. I also believe clear communication is essential, so I provide updates as needed to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.
“Liz did a great job with my two furbabies. Our little white one is a super senior and doesn’t do well with change, Liz spent time with her and giving her attention to make her comfortable. Our other dog was very content when I arrived home, which was a result of the one on one attention Liz provided. My home was well cared for and clean upon my return. Liz communicates with me every day to let me know how everything was going. I really appreciate Liz’s professionalism and attention. I would highly recommend Liz and she’s welcome any time!!! Thank you Liz!!!”

“Angela is amazing, compassionate, gentle, caring, nurturing with my family member (pet). I rarely leave my dog so was very stressed out about doing so. We had a pet meet and greet first and I knew I had found the right person. She came inside and immediately sat on the floor to meet my little dog. Angela sent me photos and videos and when I returned, my dog was quite happy to be around her. This showed me, we made the right decision. End your anxiety and stress, use Angela. Highly recommend.”

This was our very first time using Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Lindsay was absolutely incredible—kind, communicative, and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. She sent regular updates, photos, and little notes that made us smile and reassured us that our dog was happy and well cared for. Lindsay went above and beyond in every way, and we’re so grateful to have found her. If you’re nervous about trying Rover for the first time, trust me—Lindsay will make it a five-star experience.
