About: I have absolutely loved dogs my whole life, and would love to spend my time taking care of your dog! Whether its long walks, playing, running, or just spending some time with your furry friend. I have been walking dogs of all sizes for over a decade, and love spending my time this way. I have spent my whole life around dogs and have helped in training many dogs, including puppies. I am very active and happy to adjust how I spend my time with your dog depending on how active your dog likes to be - whether you are looking for long walks, runs, or just a short jaunt around the block. I am available anytime to walk or look after your pups! I look forward to making many new furrry friends and going on lots of fun doggy adventures! I am happy to take your furry friends on walks or adventures! I would also be happy to take care of them in your home.
“Great person. She loved our dogs and we needed that to entrust them into her care. She also was very responsible as she watched them at our house in our absence. I would recommend her to anyone who truly loves their dogs.”

“We are always nervous leaving our two doggies with a new sitter, but Zakk's meet and greet went so well that we knew our pups would be in good hands. They took an instant liking to him and from the very first photos that Zakk sent, we knew that they would be well cared for while we were away. Hiring Zakk came with a couple of extra bonuses - one, he's an experienced dog trainer and not only did he walk our pups as requested, but in addition he provided individual care (extra walkies/runs) for them. In one week, he turned two barky puppies into well behaved, much less reactive critters. We are absolutely amazed at the difference one week with Zakk made for our fur babies. They are no longer barking their fool heads off at dinner time or when people/vehicles pass our windows. In addition to this amazing transformation, Zakk and his service dog provided socialization in our home which provided another learning experience for our dogs. Not only did they hang out together, they actually played with one another, which Zakk said was unusual and positive for all three dogs. In addition to the outstanding pet care, Zakk also did the laundry, watered the plants on the landing, and left the house in good shape. We highly recommend Zakk for dog sitting and hope he's available the next time we leave and need care for our pups.”

“Julia is always top notch when watching my animals. They love when she comes over and takes care of them when I’m out of town. She sends updates and pics to insure me that they are in good hands.”

About: Aloha! I'm Shanon, a naturopathic physician who loves to take care of pets in people's homes. I began caring for my neighbor's cat when I was 10 years old, graduating to dog care in my teens. Since then I have done pet sits in many states and countries, seeing some pets through their lifetimes. My clients have included dogs, cats, bunnies, tortoises, snails, fish and birds. I have also cared for chickens and horses and am willing to look after small farm animals such as goats and sheep. If requested, I take care of gardens/plants, mail/packages and any other issues that may arise while you are gone. Want local or distance references? There are many. Please ask for them! “Spencer and his partner Ruby did an amazing job with our corgi Theo! If we could give them 10 stars out of 5 for the care they gave our doggo, we would! They are very friendly and enthusiastic, Theo loved them immediately. They kept Theo safe and happy, we even had neighbors tell us how well cared for our boy was while we were on our trip. We got daily updates and pictures, which we super appreciated.”

“Peach was absolutely amazing! She brought the kindest, most gentle and warm energy to our home when she came to stay with our pup for a couple of days. About: Aloha! My name is Duncan Anderson, and I’m proud to say I was born and raised on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. Throughout my life, I’ve had the joy of working with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. I manage a three-acre homestead where I’ve gained extensive experience caring for and nurturing these wonderful creatures. In addition, I spent time working on a farm in Kohala, where we raised chickens and pigs. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of animal husbandry and farming practices. I’m passionate about fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and animals, and I look forward to sharing that enthusiasm with others. I prioritize your pet care whenever I can, fitting it into my daily routine with walks, playtime, and grooming sessions. Whether it's enjoying outdoor adventures or cozying up at home, your pet's happiness and health are always top of mind. I live on a three-acre homestead with plenty of space for walks and a spacious backyard where I can play with your pet—whether it's a game of fetch or just some fun and companionship.
About: I moved to the Big Island three months ago and caretake 7 acres with my fiancée Kindra. It’s been awhile since I’ve used Rover, but with my new free time and love of animals, I decided to get back on. My experience: since the day I was born I have lived with animals. My mother, being a veterinary technician with 20+ years of experience, always encouraged me to volunteer at the animal shelter by walking and feeding the dogs, cleaning their teeth and dishes, playing outside with them, and providing love and compassion. I love being outdoors and going to the beaches or local parks for walks and running, but also enjoy curling up on the couch and watching a movie with a fur baby to relax after a long day. A quick phone call to my mother allows me to ask any question about your dog or cat’s specific breed in order to better care for them. However, in an emergency situation, I am well equipped with the knowledge and confidence to conduct any first aid. My farm work schedule is very flexible and I have my own vehicle to get around at all hours of the day and night. As much advanced notice as possible is appreciated. Whatever is needed or requested, consider it done. I take the fur babies safety and comfort very seriously, both physically and emotionally. I treat every animal as if they were my own.
“Gregory was amazing during his stay with our Frenchie! He took him on walks and little adventures and we’ve never come home from a week long trip to a more happy and healthy doggo!”

About: Hi! My name is Laurel, but my friends call me Lolo. I have been caring for animals since I could walk. No, seriously, I have! I was blessed with the opportunity to grow up with all kinds of animals to care for daily. If you have grown up on a ranch or a farm, you know what I am talking about. We had two Australian Shepherds, horses, a donkey, barn cats, you name it! Those days sparked the passion I have for animals and taught me how to work my booty off. We were taught to NEVER leave the gate open, always clean up after ourselves (and the animals), and to show love to every living being. As an adult, I worked at multiple doggy daycares, adventured with some really amazing horses (and riders) at a Girl Scout camp in California, and have taken every opportunity I have found to spend time with animals. My dream is to one day open a ranch for rescue animals of all species and breeds. Until then, I am elated to be offering my pet care services to YOU and your furry friends (or scaly, I don't judge). Follow our Instagram to see what we are up to. I can't wait to hear from you! I can definitely handle young crazy puppies that jump, chew, pee everywhere, etc. as well as older (more fragile) dogs that need specialized care. I also have experience giving medications. I don't mind having dogs in my car and will happily bathe your dogs upon request. I am passionate about caring for all animals, especially dogs, and I am not intimidated easily! If you have other pets in your home, I will feed them and give them some love as well. I look forward to meeting your fur/feather/scaly babies and will treat them as they are my own! I work remotely Monday-Friday for a small company and I have a very flexible schedule. I can tailor my day to fit your pets needs, and I will be with them most of the day! **I absolutely update all of my clients with photos and updates! I give you my direct cell phone number so you can contact me at any time if you want to know how your babies are doing. Safety of your pet is my number one priority. I never leave your home until your dog is properly leashed and wearing protective footwear when necessary. Please understand that I will not be able to provide a dog walk without proper safety equipment such as a collar with updated tags, a secure leash, etc. I operate my own pet care business out of my home, caring for your pets IS my weekly routine. I have a very flexible schedule. Safety of your pet is my number one priority. I never leave your home until your dog is properly leashed and wearing protective footwear when necessary. Please understand that I will not be able to provide a dog walk without proper protection for their paw pads due to the high heat in the summer. My own house has multiple baby gates to ensure no dog escapes through any entry point as clients are coming and going. Our backyard is fenced and we keep a lock on our gate at all times. We have a shaded area for dogs to go potty even on the hottest of days and keep our AC set to 78 or lower at all times.

“Liz did a great job with my two furbabies. Our little white one is a super senior and doesn’t do well with change, Liz spent time with her and giving her attention to make her comfortable. Our other dog was very content when I arrived home, which was a result of the one on one attention Liz provided. My home was well cared for and clean upon my return. Liz communicates with me every day to let me know how everything was going. I really appreciate Liz’s professionalism and attention. I would highly recommend Liz and she’s welcome any time!!! Thank you Liz!!!”
