About: Hi! I’ve fostered both dogs and cats throughout all four years of college, including caring for sick pets and administering medications when needed. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—so much so that my family genuinely thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I’m currently a medical student and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and truly love providing a safe, calm, and affectionate environment for them. I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home studying, which allows me to provide consistent care, walks, and attention throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening routines, and I keep my schedule light when I’m caring for a pet to make sure they feel comfortable and well looked after. I live in a cozy, clean apartment in a very walkable area near the DIA. My building is extremely pet-friendly and even offers dog treats in the lobby. About: I’ve been a pet owner for over 20 years, ranging from the typical fish, cat, and beloved Murphy, to include even a pet iguana (or two). 🥰 I have a fenced yard where both Murphy and your furry loved one can play and hang out. For overnight stays I have a large adult dog kennel that can accommodate a Mastiff just as comfortably as it can my Min Pin (who believes he’s the size of a Mastiff). 😄 I have an older dog with lots of energy and plays well with other dogs. I am an active person, so neighborhood walking is available for dogs with proper training. I can also provide some minor training reinforcement for puppies or young dogs learning new skills and/or tricks. 🐾 Tips are APPRECIATED!!! 🐾 I work from home! 🙌🏾 So my schedule is flexible and allows me to be able to work with and respond to clients in a timely manner. My home is fenced. All pets remain on the property unless they are taken for walks. I also will let clients know about overlaps in booking wih animals.

About: Your home is my base. Professional housesitter, LGBT+ND Friendly. My homebody routine (WFH yogi) mean tons of time with your pet. I'm very tidy, and a good fit for clean nonsmoking homes. Over 200+ nights per year petsitting! Your place is my home, not just short visits. I also enjoy multiple pet households of 2, 3, 4 or more! I am patient with anxiety, special needs, medication, and puppies. I love written instructions, and take medication seriously. My day is typically yoga, meditation, movie nights with your pets, two hours WFH, and walks or yard time. I also offer daytime care in your home via the Housesitting tab (3 hours to 10 hours+) even if you don't need overnight. You can also book Drop Ins of 30 mins to an hour, or multiple hours. I usually send 2ish updates with photos per day, but if you'd like more or less, let me know. I'm mature, sober, nonsmoking; I don't vape or use drugs, not even caffeine. I have decades of experience caring for houses and pets. I WFH a few hours a week as a property manager, so I'm very available for pets who need more attention. Feel free to send a request even if Rover suggests I may be booked, because sometimes it's just for a doggie walk. Note: All of December will be at Rover Holiday rates. After our initial meet and greet, it is standard to do cold swaps vs hot swaps, for your out of town trip. I arrive after you leave, and depart before you return. This usually means smoother transitions for pets and humans. If you need a sit start time before 8am, or end time after 8pm, or drives over 20 minutes, there is an additional charge of $30 each, not included in your estimate. You are very welcome to book additional drop ins or walks before your sit so we can all get to know each other! Your home is my home base, I bring my groceries/book/yoga mat. Playtime, downtime, and sleepytime are spent with your pet. I WFH and love reading, cooking, meditation, movies. My commitments are important to me, and I care about your pets. I am responsible, a great communicator, and will always respond to your messages.

About: I would love to take care of your furbaby! I have several years of past experience working at animal hospitals and a year of volunteer experience at the ASPCA animal shelter. I offer boarding with only one pet family booked at a time. I also offer house-sitting and love how it is a great option for some pets who feel most comfortable in their own home. I also make sure to keep your home at least as clean and tidy as I found it. I usually stay overnight for the pet's care needs, but if you are looking for just morning to evening or partial day house-sitting, message me for a custom rate. Whether boarding or house-sitting, I will do my best to adhere to your furbaby's normal routine. I have a knack for relaxing anxious/shy/reactive pets and have quite a lot of experience winning them over. I would be happy to do a meet-n-greet in a large outdoor space for your pup to warm up to me on neutral ground. I've cared for the full spectrum of dog sizes and ages. With older pets, I go slowly and make sure not to startle them if they're sleeping, as they may not see or hear me come in. I like to discuss how I can accommodate any special needs your pet may have. Extra plus if your pet is a cuddler! I look forward to getting to know all of your pets' personality traits and quirks! I LOVE hearing stories about the weird things your pets do that make them unique! :D I work from home and can often accommodate same day requests for walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting. I do my best to follow your pet's normal routine. I like to go slow when meeting new furbabies, especially if you tell me they are shy or anxious. I use a few calming techniques that have shown to be effective. I like a challenge! It's so rewarding watching the transformation of a cat/dog go from showing defensive/protective behavior to them rubbing up on me or giving me kisses. Earning their trust is the best!

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had my family dog Chutney for over 10 years, and taking care of him is really what got me into dog sitting. I did Rover throughout college and absolutely loved it, and after taking a break during the pandemic, I’m excited to be offering my services again. Since moving to Detroit, I’ve spent the past three years dog sitting and caring for many wonderful pups, and working remotely allows me the flexibility to come to your home and give your dog plenty of attention and companionship. Pet care fits pretty easily into my daily routine because I work from home and can be with the dogs throughout the entire day. This gives me the flexibility to follow whatever schedule you have for them and give them attention! I make time for at least two walks a day, along with regular check-ins, feeding, and anything else your dog may need to feel happy and comfortable. I am great with puppy training, positive reinforcement, and respecting their boundaries and needs. Big dogs are my favorite I absolutely love spoiling them with pets and treats! I work from home full-time and live full-time in Detroit, so it is super easy for me to come to check in on your pets anytime. I can take them for a quick walk or spend a couple of hours keeping them company while I work. My work is calm and consistent that I can easily add things to my schedule to accommodate your pet's needs. In their home, I prioritize meeting their needs and respecting their boundaries. If they are shy or skittish, I will make sure to not get too close to them or move too quickly; if they're energetic and outgoing, I love playing with them and keeping them occupied so they're happy and well-behaved. For dog walks, I prefer to bring enough treats to give positive reinforcement and create a strong foundation for them to trust and feel comfortable with me. With cats, I usually set up and sit somewhere to let them get used to me and my smell so they can acclimate to me at their pace as well.

About: Hello! My name is Howard and I work remote full time so I'm always home and around to take care of your pup! I have a fenced in back yard, but do live on the second floor of a duplex, so going up and down stairs is necessary in order to get to and from the yard. I also have a great neighborhood for going on walks and usually take my own pup on 2/day - I have an 11 year old blue heeler who gets along with almost every dog, but if possible it would be nice to have an introduction with her before dog sitting. Just shoot me a message and we can try and set one up. I work remotely and have my own dog, so my routine is already pretty centered around the life of a dog parent. I usually have 1 to 2 meetings a day but am otherwise available for a quick walk or bathroom break out back if needed. A post work walk through the neighborhood is a daily occurrence! I have a fenced in yard and live in a dog friendly neighborhood to go on walks. I also have an 11 year old blue heeler who is friendly with other dogs and can keep your pup company. If requested I also have space available to crate your dog if that is preferred, though I would need the crate to be provided.

About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.
