“Jessica was amazing with our new puppy! She was able to accommodate us on short notice, which we really appreciated. She walked him, fed him, played with him, and even introduced him to other little puppies so he could socialize. She greeted me warmly and treated both of us with such kindness. Our pup came home happy and tired from all the fun. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Super friendly family. I felt comfortable leaving my dog for the day at their house. They made me feel comfortable by offering to meet up before providing service. Their dog is super friendly which was great company for my puppy.”

“Karen was a great help with Luna when I unexpectedly had to leave the dog home alone for a VERY long day. She came over to give her cuddle and pee breaks and a trip to Barkside, Luna’s home away from home. 💕 Even went the extra mile to clean up a little dog mess. Thanks!!!!!”

About: Have been around, cared for, and owned many dogs throughout my life. Man's best friend yes, but also dog's best friend. That's me. My own dog is super friendly and loves all dogs. I am on Rover to give my dog socialization time and engage with other sociable dogs, and maybe even find a long-term friend for her. NOTE: My wife requires that we only host dogs who DO NOT shed. Sorry folks, only doodles and similar! I work from home M-F and am a 24/7 homebody. If I'm not working then I'm playing with my own dog all day and night. We go on long walks, chill at the park, and goof around in the apartment. I have no life outside of my dog's well-being... and yours too if you want :) We have a 1000 sq ft apartment. Our apartment is a very open layout basically designed to cater to our dog's happiness and needs. We have dog-proofed everything, from gating the kitchen when needed to protecting electronics and outlets. Additionally we have lots of dog toys, serve only filtered water, and provide only organic treats (if your dog is not allergic of course).
“Friendly, professional, compassionate, attentive,.courteous and so much more...Beverly is a phenomenal caretaker for my precious little furrbaby. She communicated with me regularly during her first visit and that put my mind at ease. I only have positive things to say about my experience and plan to rebook. Thanks Beverly 💎”

About: Hi! I’ve fostered both dogs and cats throughout all four years of college, including caring for sick pets and administering medications when needed. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—so much so that my family genuinely thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I’m currently a medical student and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and truly love providing a safe, calm, and affectionate environment for them. I’m home all day and able to give your pet full-time attention. I live near the DIA, so frequent walks and plenty of outdoor time with your furry friend are a given. I live in a cozy, clean apartment in a very walkable area near the DIA. My building is extremely pet-friendly and even offers dog treats in the lobby. I provide a calm, safe environment and give each pet plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I follow owners’ routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs, so your pet feels comfortable and at home.
About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.
About: I’ve been a pet owner for over 20 years, ranging from the typical fish, cat, and beloved Murphy, to include even a pet iguana (or two). 🥰 I have a fenced yard where both Murphy and your furry loved one can play and hang out. For overnight stays I have a large adult dog kennel that can accommodate a Mastiff just as comfortably as it can my Min Pin (who believes he’s the size of a Mastiff). 😄 I have an older dog with lots of energy and plays well with other dogs. I am an active person, so neighborhood walking is available for dogs with proper training. I can also provide some minor training reinforcement for puppies or young dogs learning new skills and/or tricks. 🐾 Tips are APPRECIATED!!! 🐾 I work from home! 🙌🏾 So my schedule is flexible and allows me to be able to work with and respond to clients in a timely manner. My home is fenced. All pets remain on the property unless they are taken for walks. I also will let clients know about overlaps in booking wih animals.
About: Hi, I’m Stefanía and YES: dogs are my favorite people ❤️ I’ve lived with fur babies my entire life so it is fair to say that I have plenty of experience walking, bathing, grooming (nothing fancy), feeding, playing, and cuddling with dogs all sizes. My boyfriend and I have fostered dogs and have taken care of our friend’s dogs/cats while they’re out of town. I’m a student but I take evening classes, so I can help you out during the weekends, and weekdays, specially at noon in case you can’t make it back home in the middle of the day to let your baby out! I feel very comfortable and happy doing everything dog related. I absolutely love walking, playing and being active with them. I’ll always follow your instructions in how to handle your dog(s) and provide them with a safety environment while having a great time! I understand how stressful it is to not know how your fur baby is doing during the day so I’ll update you directly!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 18 years old. I’m a dog lover with a dog myself so I think I’m perfect for the job! I’m available all the time. I do work part time and I sometimes go out of town but otherwise I am free when you need me! I live in an apartment with a lot of grass area and multiple dog parks! I also have a dog bed for the puppies that stay!
About: Hi! I’m Daniella — a dog lover and active walker based in downtown Detroit. I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, and I treat every dog like my own. Whether it’s long walks, belly rubs, or quiet couch time, I will make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy. My work is flexible so I can give your dog plenty of attention. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and notes after each walk or visit. I live downtown and have a flexible work schedule so I am easily able to go on walks, runs, or be home whenever it’s planned for. I live in a spacious apartment near capitol park dog park and the river walk. I have a car so I'm happy to host here or go to you.
About: Your home is my base. Professional housesitter, LGBT+ND Friendly. My homebody routine (WFH yogi) mean tons of time with your pet. I'm very tidy, and a good fit for clean nonsmoking homes. Over 200+ nights per year petsitting! Your place is my home, not just short visits. I also enjoy multiple pet households of 2, 3, 4 or more! I am patient with anxiety, special needs, medication, and puppies. I love written instructions, and take medication seriously. My day is typically yoga, meditation, movie nights with your pets, two hours WFH, and walks or yard time. I also offer daytime care in your home via the Housesitting tab (3 hours to 10 hours+) even if you don't need overnight. You can also book Drop Ins of 30 mins to an hour, or multiple hours. I usually send 2ish updates with photos per day, but if you'd like more or less, let me know. I'm mature, sober, nonsmoking; I don't vape or use drugs, not even caffeine. I have decades of experience caring for houses and pets. I WFH a few hours a week as a property manager, so I'm very available for pets who need more attention. Feel free to send a request even if Rover suggests I may be booked, because sometimes it's just for a doggie walk. Note: All of December will be at Rover Holiday rates. After our initial meet and greet, it is standard to do cold swaps vs hot swaps, for your out of town trip. I arrive after you leave, and depart before you return. This usually means smoother transitions for pets and humans. If you need a sit start time before 8am, or end time after 8pm, or drives over 20 minutes, there is an additional charge of $30 each, not included in your estimate. You are very welcome to book additional drop ins or walks before your sit so we can all get to know each other! Your home is my home base, I bring my groceries/book/yoga mat. Playtime, downtime, and sleepytime are spent with your pet. I WFH and love reading, cooking, meditation, movies. My commitments are important to me, and I care about your pets. I am responsible, a great communicator, and will always respond to your messages.
About: I'm loving to all dogs, big and small. Others' dogs tend to gravitate towards me, which I love. I have owned two dogs, which I crate trained and potty trained. I enjoy going for walks and letting them take the lead if they know where they want to go. I also relish having them sleep with me if they want, and talking to them as though they are humans. I also have experience with older dogs who need extra loving care in their later years. Dogs are great friends! I work full-time, but am free on the weekends and nights. I have a different work schedule than typical 9-5, so can be present during the early-late morning and early evening. I live in a small apartment steps away from Wayne State and there are plenty of places to walk and play! If need be, I lay out wee-wee pads and go outside as often as I can. There is a possibility of taking the dogs to work, too. A very low key office environment. Water is always available in walks and food is replenished as needed.

I have been taking care of dogs and cats for most of my entire life. I am a Veterinary Assistant at a Veterinarian Hospital. I have knowledge of what to do in most cases with pets including the basics of walking and feeding the pet. I can also give injections to the pet or feed them medication. I have a 4 year old Golden Retriever who is full of energy, he loves accompanying me on long walks! Due to his energy level and age, we walk 2 miles a day. I look forward to meeting and take care of your pet. I am very accommodating when it comes to people schedules and preferences. I work a short schedule since I am a full time student 😊 I love to take dogs on walks, play fetch in my backyard or explore the park in my neighborhood! If there are any commands you are working on, I would love to help keep the training going while you are away. I have crates available if you are interested in learning how to crate train your fur baby! I currently work part time while attending school full time which means I’m available for all your dog/cat needs for any special events or last minute vacations! I will always love your pet just like they’re my own. I pay attention to small details and will continue to update you with pictures and videos.
New Center dog parents share their Rover experiences
We’ve had such a positive experience with Alyssa. She is attentive, kind, and truly cares about Teddy. He was relaxed and content when we picked him up, and we really appreciated the updates and cute photos throughout the day. We feel very comfortable leaving Teddy in her care and would highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter.

Tajuana was fantastic! She frequently communicated how our pup was, his meals, where they went, and how well they got along. She took him to the dog park, and it made me laugh to see our pup spent most of the time by her side. That is so him. Happy to book with Tajuana again.

It was my first time using the app. I was in Detroit and was nervous about leaving my furry baby with someone I didn't know, but I'm so happy it was Michael. He replied to my messages to check on her and was super nice. He took her for a long walk, which I'm sure she loved, and when I went to get her, I could tell she was well taken care of because she was calm and worn out. Thanks a lot, Michael.
