About: Pet care is what I do, and I would love to take care of your furbaby! I have several years of past experience working at animal hospitals and a year of volunteer experience at the ASPCA animal shelter. I offer boarding and house-sitting. I love how house-sitting is a great option for some pets who feel most comfortable in their own home. I also make sure to keep your home at least as clean and tidy as I found it. I usually stay overnight for the pet's care needs, but if you are looking for just morning to evening or partial day house-sitting, message me for a custom rate. Whether boarding or house-sitting, I will do my best to adhere to your furbaby's normal routine. For dog boarding, I typically only take pups who are friendly with other pups. For cat boarding, I can generally accommodate putting the kitty in their own bedroom where they are comfy and safe away from dogs. I have a knack for relaxing anxious/shy/reactive pets and have quite a lot of experience winning them over. I would be happy to do a meet-n-greet in a large outdoor space for your pup to warm up to me on neutral ground. I've cared for the full spectrum of dog sizes and ages. With older pets, I go slowly and make sure not to startle them if they're sleeping, as they may not see or hear me come in. I like to discuss how I can accommodate any special needs your pet may have. Extra plus if your pet is a cuddler! I look forward to getting to know all of your pets' personality traits and quirks! I LOVE hearing stories about the weird things your pets do that make them unique! :D I love pet care so much that as of Spring 2023 I do it full-time. I can often accommodate same day requests for walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting. I like to go slow with new dogs/cats, especially if you tell me they are shy or anxious. I use a few calming techniques that have shown to be effective. Sometimes it's as simple as giving lots of treats and belly rubs. I like a challenge! It's so rewarding watching the transformation of a dog barking at me in a protective/defensive manner to them giving me kisses. If your dog normally sleeps with you, that's a bonus for me because I love their snuggles!

About: I've owned dogs for the past 20 years, first an Australian Shephard, then a yellow Lab. I've also cared for the dogs of friends and family. After the death of my most recent guy, Petey, I decided that I want the companionship of dogs without the vet bills$ I'm now retired from teaching and have all the time in the world to sit, walk, transport and care for dogs. I can accept dogs during the day or night, 7 days a week. Your dogs will be in an open setting in my home. I have a fenced yard so they can play. I live near a park and a riverfront, so long walks can be taken through natural settings. I accept only one or two dogs at a time, depending on the personality and behaviour of the dogs. I have a van that can transport dog to wherever they need to go.

About: Hii!! I'm passionate about providing top-notch care for your beloved furry friends. I had dogs since my childhood, my father is police dog trainer, that’s where the passion comes from in me. With a reputation for reliability and a deep sense of responsibility, I'm here to ensure that your pets receive the care and attention they deserve. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to play with your fur babies, have fenced yard, toys and their favourite treats and lots of passion so do not hesitate to give me chance to take care of your babies!! I have fenced yard, pet toys and treats, I can go out for walks, potty breaks, sniff strolls for mental stimulation and play lots and lots of games.

About: *It’s kitten season! We might have a foster litter in our back room, completely separate hallway with a closed door. If this concerns you, we can adapt and move them* Hello there, My name is Karen (but not 'a Karen,' I swear). I volunteer walking dogs at the local shelter. You never really know what you'll walk into when you go there, so I've learned to be pretty adaptable. I am comfortable with pretty much all pets (but we do live in an apartment so please see bottom section for ones we cannot care for). I also started fostering this year, everything from energetic puppies to FIV+ cats, couch potatoes to zoomie kings-and-queens. Our house is empty right now, and I am not regularly working because of some health issues, so there is a ton of flexibility in my schedule and in our home. If I'm not around, my boyfriend Dave usually is: sometimes he might be the one caring for and walking your pet, or meeting up with you for pick up/drop off. Your pet will not be alone much at all while boarding. We also have lots of toys, beds, a crate, and snacks, so all you’ll have to bring is food. To me, there is no point in having a pet unless you're going to spoil them. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one isn't missing you too much. There are a few pets we’re unable to take. Our apartment can be noisy with people outside, neighbors coming in and out, etc…If your dog is nervous and fearful, those noises can exacerbate that in an already strange situation/new place for them. Please do not book if your dog *barks a lot* or gets nervous easily. We also cannot take two large dogs at the same time, as much as I would really love to! I prefer to do meet-and-greets at my place, too, for this reason…which isn’t a must, just a suggestion : ) I really look forward to hearing from you! My schedule is very open. My house does not have any pets in it right now. I’m totally ready to adapt to your pet’s needs! Generally, I just am very loving to all creatures. I volunteer a lot and am used to many, many kinds of animals. I live in an apartment, so that can be confusing sometimes for dogs who are used to going potty in a yard (leashed potty break and puppy pads are what typically do here), but there is plenty of space to run around in the loft, so playtime is not an issue. My boyfriend Dave and I live together. Occasionally, he might be the person to pick off/drop off instead of me.

“Awesome! He really helped me out when I was in a bind. Great with communication, following care instructions, and just being patient with my puppy. I will be sending Otis back to him when I need his help.”

About: Hi! My name is Katie and I love to pet sit for anyone looking for help over the weekend. I am a medical student at USC, so I spend most of my time at home on virtual school and studying. I have had 4 dogs throughout my life, all toy breeds. I recently got my own dog, after a sweet Staffy who under my car on the freeway. I have met the nicest people and dogs through Rover and feel lucky to be a part of this community. I live in a 1 bedroom, ground floor apartment, with a Roxy and her two elderly cat brothers Jack and Sully. Unfortunately I do not have my own backyard, but I am close to plenty of parks! I have extensive practice in administering oral and injectable medications for animals.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, my parents raised seeing eye dogs, and I helped with training and daily care from a young age. In my teens, I helped my mom run a small dog-boarding business out of our home, so I'm used to dogs with all kinds of temperaments and routines. Over the years, I've often been the go-to friend for dogs that need a little extra patience or understanding, whether that's a shy senior or a high-energy handful. I recently lost my own pup, and while l'm not ready for another full-time, I miss having a dog around and love being able to offer that care and attention to someone else's. I'm currently working on fixing up my very old duplex so I'm home, tinkering around most of the time, and my schedule is flexible. If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

“Raeshawn was amazing. I came to Detroit for NCAA game and she took Vella in for day care and was amazing with her. Walks and lots of interaction.”

About: Need a house sitter, plant sitter, or pet sitter you can count on? Hi, I’m Madrona — a remote marketing professional with a flexible schedule, years of experience, and a serious soft spot for furry companions. Since my family (and their pets) no longer live nearby, I’m looking to spend more quality time with animals — whether that’s a quick walk, a drop-by visit, or a longer stay in your home while you’re away. I’m available for: • Overnight house and pet sitting (I’ll stay in your home and care for pets + plants) • Drop-ins and walks • Short-term or occasional care I’ve worked with pets who are reactive, anxious, on meds, or just need a little extra patience. I’ve also been the go-to sitter for everything from cats with attitude to senior dogs with complex routines. I treat every home and animal like my own — with care, consistency, and respect. Tabor, my sweet family dog, won’t be tagging along unless invited, but he’s why I do this. He taught me how much love and attention animals really need — and deserve. Let’s chat if you’re looking for someone kind, experienced, and reliable. Because I work remotely and make my own schedule, I have the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my day. Whether it’s morning walks, mid-day visits, or overnight stays, I can be fully present and consistent — no rushing between commitments or leaving pets alone for long stretches. I genuinely enjoy the quiet companionship animals bring, so spending time with them is never a chore — it’s something I look forward to. Whether I’m staying in your home or stopping by throughout the day, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and cared for the entire time you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping things as close to their usual routine as possible. That means sticking to feeding schedules, walk times, medication if needed, and any specific instructions you provide — all while giving them plenty of love, attention, and calm energy. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and communicative, so you’ll always know how things are going while you’re away. For drop-ins or walks, I make sure each visit is intentional — not rushed. I give pets time to settle, play, get their energy out (or just relax), and always check on their water, food, and general well-being. If I’m doing overnight care, I work remotely from your home, so your pets get lots of company and consistency throughout the day — not just in the mornings and evenings. No matter the service, your pet’s comfort and safety come first.

“Karley was wonderful with my puppy Oliver. We had just adopted him a week before and needed someone to watch him for a day. I was really nervous about it because he’s still a puppy and we’ve never had to leave a puppy with someone else before. But Karley was so kind and kept me posted the whole time. When we came to pick Ollie up, he seemed to have had a very comfortable stay and felt safe with her. I 100% recommend reaching out to Karley if you’re in the Detroit area and need someone to watch your furbaby for you.”

About: I've taken care of dogs since 2016. I got my first dog, then my second, and 3rd. Through that process, I learned how to train, dog psychology, and adventuring. I currently have over 50hours of volunteer experience at Friends of DACC caring for dogs looking for their next home. I have about 2 years of cat experience as well! I love pets and they tend to love me as well. I am aware of trauma and how to approach different types of pets - whether shy, past trauma experience, old age, or young puppies/kittens. I'm currently doing this full time and available when my schedule permits. I can do overnight stays or over the weekend. Ideally, I can attend to your pet 3x a day if house sitting. I am able to walk your pets, feed them, ensure they are adequately cared for and loved. Whatever they needs specific to them, I am available to provide.

About: I’ve been a pet owner for over 20 years, ranging from the typical fish, cat, and beloved Murphy, to include even a pet iguana (or two). 🥰 I have a fenced yard where both Murphy and your furry loved one can play and hang out. For overnight stays I have a large adult dog kennel that can accommodate a Mastiff just as comfortably as it can my Min Pin (who believes he’s the size of a Mastiff). 😄 I have an older dog with lots of energy and plays well with other dogs. I am an active person, so neighborhood walking is available for dogs with proper training. I can also provide some minor training reinforcement for puppies or young dogs learning new skills and/or tricks. 🐾 Tips are APPRECIATED!!! 🐾 I work from home! 🙌🏾 So my schedule is flexible and allows me to be able to work with and respond to clients in a timely manner. My home is fenced. All pets remain on the property unless they are taken for walks. I also will let clients know about overlaps in booking wih animals.
