About: Hello pet-lover! I am an experienced professional dog handler and trainer with space in my home to care for your family members who cannot accompany you while you're away. I am currently work a hybrid work schedule (some days I work from home, other days I am in the office); I have 5 years experience in a kennel environment and working with working/professional dogs, as well as dogs with behavioral issues; and training/showing/trialing my own companions - I have experience and titles with my dogs in obedience, agility, and nosework in both AKC and UKC and other venues. I focus on force-free training methods, while still making sure to ensure rules and boundaries in my household. As much as I love training, training is not offered as part of your stay. If this is your first time staying with me, use code “LINDSO47650” for a discount! I currently work from home, and am able to let out frequently. Your pets will be treated like my own while they stay with me. I have a fenced in yard and a playful pup who loves to meet new friends! I am set up for any scenario needed, and have crates for safety and feeding. If your dog isn't used to staying in a crate is reliable to be left alone, I have baby gates set up around the home to keep them out of places they shouldn't be.

Keep up the good work and follow your passion!”

About: My husband and I work from home and have very flexible schedules that allow us to be present with our pets during the day. In between play sessions, your dog will be able to relax and rest easily on a dog bed or on the couch with lots of blankets to snuggle in all while listening to calm noises especially curated for dogs. After their nap, they will wake up to a nice snack and stretch their legs outside via a walk, park or just lounging in the backyard. Water bowls are cleaned throughout the day and paws are wiped cleaned after coming in from outside. We have a bin of brand new dog toys from BarkBox for all sizes, ages and chew types. They can take them home or keep them here for their next visit! You rest easy knowing that we are strictly a “Positive Reinforcement” household. We believe in rewarding good behavior and not disciplining bad behavior. There are no kids in the home during the day and we ask for all pets to be picked up from daycare no later than 5pm. (Please inquire if you need additional flexibility) I currently work from home as a technology sales rep. When I am not working, I’m entertaining both my toddler and pets. I often have a decent amount of free time and dog sitting has been a great outlet for my dog to socialize and get some fun in! For repeat pets, I have noticed a big difference after a few days of adjusting. I think it’s important for pets to feel safe in whatever space they are in. A place to relax, to sleep, or to be alone. I have carefully arranged my home for my pets and child to be able to roam safely. This will be adjusted based on pet needs. During the work week, I’ll like to keep an eye on the pets as they lounge near the office. Dogs are monitored in fully fenced yard and crates are available if needed.

16. Kelly L.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 18 years old. I’m a dog lover with a dog myself so I think I’m perfect for the job! I’m available all the time. I do work part time and I sometimes go out of town but otherwise I am free when you need me! I live in an apartment with a lot of grass area and multiple dog parks! I also have a dog bed for the puppies that stay!

18. Destiny A.
About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family since I was 13. I’ve always grown up in a house with dogs, and I currently have an 8 month old puppy and 12 year old family owned pitbull. I’ve volunteered with the Genesee County Humane Society and have immersed myself in positive puppy training during the pandemic. I know dog CPR & have taken care of my senior dog during her final years. I work from home in the mental health industry with a very flexible schedule. I take my dog on 2-3 walks a day, ranging from the river walk to Belle Isle to just around the neighborhood. I’m always happy to have more pet company during the day and weekends. I have plenty of outdoor space along with a fenced in dog park that is for my apartment community. Usually I do daily walks at 8am before I start work at 9, and another walk at 1pm and then dog park at 6pm. Im happy to avoid the dog park and go on hikes with your pet. I have a large apartment with plenty of outdoor space. I have lots of dog neighbors, and a fenced in dog park right in my complex. I have plenty of dog beds, toys, and time to snuggle with your pets throughout the day.

About: I’ve been a pet owner for over 20 years, ranging from the typical fish, cat, and beloved Murphy, to include even a pet iguana (or two). 🥰 I have a fenced yard where both Murphy and your furry loved one can play and hang out. For overnight stays I have a large adult dog kennel that can accommodate a Mastiff just as comfortably as it can my Min Pin (who believes he’s the size of a Mastiff). 😄 I have an older dog with lots of energy and plays well with other dogs. I am an active person, so neighborhood walking is available for dogs with proper training. I can also provide some minor training reinforcement for puppies or young dogs learning new skills and/or tricks. 🐾 Tips are APPRECIATED!!! 🐾 I work from home! 🙌🏾 So my schedule is flexible and allows me to be able to work with and respond to clients in a timely manner. My home is fenced. All pets remain on the property unless they are taken for walks. I also will let clients know about overlaps in booking wih animals.
