About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have been caring for them for over 10 years. I truly love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether that means sticking to their usual routine, going on relaxed walks, playing, or just giving extra cuddles, I always treat every dog like they’re my own. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to make both you and your dog feel at ease. I have a lot of experience with dogs and pet care, and it fits naturally into my daily routine. With flexibility in my schedule, I can be available throughout the day to provide walks, feedings, and check-ins so pets get consistent attention and care. I enjoy structuring my day around a pet’s needs, whether that’s morning walks, midday playtime, or evening cuddles. I’m dependable with routines and happy to adjust to match your pet’s habits, ensuring they feel comfortable and settled. I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for every pet. When pets stay at my home, I make sure the space is secure, free of hazards, and set up for play, rest, and meals. I supervise them during walks and playtime and follow any routines or instructions you provide so they feel comfortable and at ease. When visiting pets at their home, I treat their space with respect, keep them safe, and provide updates so owners feel confident and informed. My goal is always to create a calm, loving, and stress-free experience for pets in both settings.
“We are looking to find someone to board Ollie with for weekends. To start him out slow (he has separation anxiety), we had a Meet and Greet, a short (3hr) stay and later, a full day stay. Julie was clear that her dog Zilla's comfort with Ollie was a priority, which I fully support. I won't want to trust my dog to someone who isn't looking out for ALL the dogs involved. Julie was very responsive with messages, showed us around her home and yard and was generally very calm and patient. While the dogs didn't end up getting along well enough for this to work out long term, Ollie warmed up to Julie and was definitely as calm as I've seen him after being left.”

“Manuela was great with our dog and I know our dog loved spending time with her! I was nervous to leave our dog with a new person at first, but Manuela met us beforehand and made sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend Manuela to anyone looking for care for their pet! She treats pets as if they were her own!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I used to be around six dogs at a time, from small to large breeds. I’ve worked to train 2 different dogs in the last 6 months and currently have my own 2 puppies. I’m currently working part time 2 days a week. I don’t schedule dogs those days; I only accept pets on my days off, ensuring that I will have plenty of time to spend with your loved one. I can easily crate, leash up, and walk dogs as needed. I will work on some skills if wanted, ensuring some trust and respectful relationship. I’ll love your pups like they are my own!
About: I've been around animals, but especially dogs my whole life, whether it was my neighbors, cousins, friends or my own! My first job was a dog walker and I've had a soft spot in my heart ever since. You can count on me when it comes to walking, taking care of, playing with or just giving your animal some lovin'. I just recently moved to Madison and have a part time job.. I thought what better way to spend my free time than with some furry friends! I have a very flexible schedule, I can watch your pet or walk them in morning, afternoon or evening. Message me for more details :) I am a very organized, clean individual and will respect all owners homes. I pay attention to detail and will make sure to follow all rules the owner provides me with.
About: I have taken care of dogs for 10+ years and have been a reliable caretaker for family, friends, and relatives animals. I have helped train my families puppy and have a great understanding of dogs and their needs. I have full availability this summer, so plenty of time to take care of dogs! I would love to build amazing connections with dogs and their owners! I have had 2 dogs which I assist in taking care of, including walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with them. My family recently got a puppy which I helped in training her.
“Thank you for Max's wonderful care the first time. We will definitely use your service again. I recommend this caregiver because she's very attentive and has been sending me photos of every moment of his care. Thank you again.”

About: I've had dogs ever since I was a little kid and would do anything for them. I've also worked with dogs for the past 2 years. I have a Rat Terrier of my own and will make sure to treat your dog like they're my own. I’m used to all kinds of dogs whether it be age, energy level, or condition as I’ve had a mix of all at my job and growing up! I'm a student with lots of breaks between my classes meaning I’m usually only gone for less than two hours and I have lots of free time on the weekends. Max I’ll be gone is four hours, but that rarely happens. My dog is very friendly and energetic, but also knows when a dog doesn’t want to play. She’s very silly and loves to sleep! I live near the lake and can take your dog out often as there’s a nice trail along the lake and campus is pedestrian friendly. I live in an apartment, so I’m looking to host dogs who are comfortable in a quieter environment. Since I share walls with neighbors, I’m best suited for dogs who aren’t big barkers. That being said, I love dogs with a personality! A little energy and playfulness is totally welcome, I just ask that barking is kept to a minimum. Dogs are allowed to free roam around the apartment whether I’m with them or gone. If your puppy has energy to burn but knows when to settle down, we’ll get along great! In your own home I will take on any type of dog with any energy level! I will make sure to care for your dog while you are away just as you care for them while you’re in your house. A dogs safety and their comfort are a top priority for me! I also have a fenced in patio with dog grass if your pup needs a quick potty break!

“Lorelei and Gail watched Pistachio for us while we were getting married! They sent us so many of pictures and videos of Pistachio happily playing with their dogs, it made our eventful evening even better. Pistachio came home tired and happy. We truly appreciate the care and communication.”

“Yecid was very attentive to my dog's care. He followed Max's feeding instructions and kept me informed and sent me photos throughout the day. I truly recommend this sitter. Thank you for your services, which I will use in the future.”

“This was our first time with Luke. He was a terrific dog sitter! He took time to find out about Skye's history and special needs, to introduce her carefully to the two other dogs in his care, and to communicate promptly with me. The environment was calm, clean and dog-friendly. I was so happy to see pictures of Skye and thear that she was adjusting well. I hope to have Skye with Luke again in the near future.”
About: I have taken care of dogs from all age groups. Whether a senior dog who needs frequent bathroom breaks or a puppy who wants lots of attention and reinforcement, I love all of them. Besides, being a tennis player means I gotta put my unlimited supply of balls to use:) I work from home three days a week. If our furry guest prefers lots of attention or frequent bathroom breaks, it would be a perfect match. I only take in one dog a time. There won’t be other pets at home. There’s a dog run in my apartment complex. I also live within walking distance of a dog park.
“Eric, Rachel and Lilo were amazing hosts for my puppy! They were super flexible with drop-off/pick-up times, they sent lots of pics/updates, and Cleo came home exhausted. I am extra grateful that they were able to take Cleo last minute. I will definitely rebook with them!”

Vilas dog parents share their Rover experiences
Will be booking with Ruby again! Very sensitive and kind towards both me and my dog. Very detailed, even helping minimize my time in picking up Luna. Sent updates throughout the afternoon. My dog is very nervous without me and she settled in nicely! Ruby's vet studies also put me at ease. Definitely recommend.
Kaela watched our girl for a several hours today and she had the best time! It was our first time with her and although we don’t need care often, we will definitely be asking for her again. Lots of updates on her day. She came home a happy girl from all the attention.

Jackie is a great sitter! She is very communicative, and I appreciated that she introduced Cleo to her dogs one at a time, and in an intentional way (in the yard first). She's clearly knowledgeable about dog behavior and best practices. We'll definitely use her again!
