About: Growing up with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs, I have a wide array of pet care experience for animal friends large and small. Frequent dogwalker and pet-sitter with extensive knowledge of care practices. About: When I was a child, I walked our dogs more that the rest of my family combined (a brother , sister, and parents). I had a coffee shop named after my Husky in Idaho (Cody's Cafe). To me, dogs play an extremely important role in our lives and I know how important your pet is; they are family. They also have their unique traits. My last dog was a very sweet pit bull mix that loved chasing squirrels and liked Cats. My current dog is a rescue Dane/Weimeraner Mix and is our world. He has been from Key West to the Alamo to Aspen and Taos and extremely sociable. I understand that every dog has its unique personality and I will learn as much as possible to make the experience a positive and rewarding one. Dogs need and demand attention and that reward works both ways. I am between jobs as my company suddenly closed with no notice so between jobs will be doing something I am passionate about, walking dogs. Pets safety is prime. When I walk dogs, they are my focus. If there are other dogs on the street, I am careful and understand that dog behavior can be unpredictable although I am very good at reading dog behavior. Some dogs may be fine 90% of the time, but that is too high an unknown to risk anyone's health. I want dogs to be comfortable on their walks but aware of dangers from cat poop to food that could jeapordize the dogs health.

About: I've had dogs my entire life. My last pup, Pooka, died a few years ago after living around the world with me for 16 happy years. So I'm an empty nester looking to love on your pets until I'm ready to get one of my own again. I've cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities and even some special needs. I work from home in a sizable house on a flat topped mountain. I already take 1-2 walks during my workday to stretch my legs. Other than that, I'm a huge homebody. I’m currently living up on a mesa in the middle of nowhere. Plenty of room to run and chill. The space is not fenced so I can keep pups on leash, if needed.

About: As a retiree, I have adequate time to devote to 1 to 1 care for well-behaved, small to medium dogs and cats too. I prefer to give one on one care for your special pet in my cozy, smoke-free, fenced home. I am a nurse by profession, so administering most medications or therapies is not a problem. With adequate notice, I prefer to meet your pet beforehand in a complimentary visit/stay, to secure any anxieties. Complete comfort is my goal, so you can enjoy your travels knowing your pet is secure with me. I am available seven (7) days per week and am rarely gone more than 2-3 hours, so potty breaks or medication administration are always available for your pet. I have safely boarded loving pets of family and neighbors without incident. I have a fenced yard for their safety and leash walk in my uptown neighborhood, as permitted by weather and animal disposition.
