Deana was fantastic. She showed up on time, had a bubbly and friendly personality, was very communicative and efficient and warm with the pups. One of my dogs is really smart and judgmental and she immediately rolled on her back for pets and scratches and wagged her tail as soon as Deana walked up (and was a total stranger to her). I highly recommend her and we will use her again!

About: I have hands on experience with dog walking, house sitting, and cat sitting, and I’ve also had dogs of my own, giving me a strong understanding of daily care, routines, and pet behavior. I’m reliable, communicative, and detail oriented, making sure your pet stays on their routine and feels comfortable at home. I provide updates, follow instructions closely, and prioritize your pet’s safety and well being at all times. I’m currently a nursing student working part time, but I have a flexible schedule and make time for pet care. With summer break coming up, I’ll have significantly more availability and flexibility throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and house sitting. I can accommodate more daytime care during the summer. I’m reliable with scheduling and make sure your pet gets the time, attention, and consistency they need. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet. I have experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of proper introductions, routines, and supervision. I will always follow your pet’s routine closely. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, attentive, and make sure your pet feels secure and cared for while you’re away.

About: My parents had dogs and cats before I was born, so I've literally had animals my entire life. As a young adult living in NYC, I shared a small apartment with two dogs and two cats for nearly 20 years. They were the center of my world, and honestly, the most important things in my life. More than 30 years later, I still dream about them. I’ve always loved animals—every single one. I’ve traveled the world to encounter and marvel at them. I’m the person who will stop at nothing to rescue the baby squirrel, injured bird, or stray dog, and who tries to gently guide the errant bug back outside, even though it completely grosses me out. But beyond loving animals, I'm also a preternaturally mature, responsible adult. I’m 58 (my mom would argue I’ve been 58 since I was five), and I retired early, which means I'm home, unhurried, and genuinely available, aside from taking long walks, swimming, yoga, and social plans. Having spent decades relying on pet sitters and dog walkers myself, I understand firsthand what separates someone adequate from someone truly invaluable. You're not just trusting someone with your pets — you're trusting them with your home, your routines, and the beings you love most in the world. I take that seriously. I'm attentive, observant, communicative, and calm in a crisis. I notice when something seems off in your house, with your pet, or otherwise. At this point in my life, I don't want another pet of my own — the emotional effort and the inevitable heartbreak. What I do want is more animals in my days: the walks, the companionship, the silliness, the comfort. In many ways, I've become the grandparent option — thrilled to love, walk, spoil, and care for your pets wholeheartedly, then hand them back to you exhausted and adored. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time. I can walk dogs or pop in to check on your pets anytime during the morning, daytime, or early evening. I'm also available to stay overnight. I care for pets in clients’ homes the same way I always hoped people would care for mine: attentively, responsibly, affectionately, and with enormous respect for both the animals and the home itself. I understand that allowing someone into your home and entrusting them with beloved pets requires a tremendous amount of trust. Having spent decades as both a pet owner and homeowner myself, I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m mature, observant, communicative, calm under pressure, and exceptionally conscientious. If something seems off with your pet, your home, or anything else, I will notice it and communicate immediately. I treat your home as I would my own - with care. It helps that I am extremely neat and tidy (maybe a tad OCD when it comes to cleanliness...). And, I am happy to follow any rules or guidelines the client has. As for the animals themselves, I genuinely enjoy being with them. I’m happy to do long walks, slower strolls, playtime, snuggling on the couch, medication routines, keeping to familiar schedules, or simply providing calm companionship and reassurance while you’re away. I know firsthand how much pets thrive on consistency, patience, affection, and a sense of safety. At this stage in my life, I do this because I truly enjoy reconnecting with the joy animals bring to everyday life. I’m not trying to build a huge business or rush through appointments. I simply love animals and enjoy caring for them well.

About: Growing up with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs, I have a wide array of pet care experience for animal friends large and small. Frequent dogwalker and pet-sitter with extensive knowledge of care practices. I am a remote worker and student in my day-to-day life, so I can frequently care for pets in my off-time in between classes and while working at home. I will be open in my communication about any issues or special needs that pets will need and trust that clients will communicate any special needs to me.

About: Medical student who personally has two guinea pigs, two cats, grew up with dogs, and has previously owned many fish. I treat patients in the hospital and you can trust me to be professional and on top of your pet's care. Not many people have experience caring for rodents and fish. About: I’ve been caring for pets for over a decade, including raising a German shepherd and co-parenting an Italian greyhound. As a current medical student on my research year, I don’t have the flexibility to own a pet full-time—but my love for animals hasn’t changed. I’m the “cool uncle” to many of my friends’ pets and truly enjoy giving them love, attention, and care as if they were my own. I’d be honored to bring that same energy and compassion to your pet’s day. My schedule is flexible if planned ahead of time during week, and I decide my time between research lab annd studying. On the weekends, I’m always free and more flexible. I treat every pet’s space like a sacred one, clean, calm, and full of positive energy. Whether in your home or mine, safety is my top priority. I follow all feeding and walking routines closely, keep environments hazard-free, and always aim to earn your pet’s trust with patience and kindness. You can count on me to keep your pet happy, loved, and secure while you’re away.

Mallory was great and most importantly, my dog thought so too! We were visiting New Orleans from out of town and a bit leary about leaving our boxer in a strange place with strange people. Mallory responded quickly to my somewhat last minute request for a 3 day dog walking booking during jazz fest. She even came for a pre-visit meet and greet. She sent us photos and updates of her visits, and offered flexibility on her times. This is my first time using Rover and Mallory made it an amazing experience. I would absolutely call her again and again and again! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 5/5 PAW Rating!
