“Victoria is amazing with my cat! My kitty can be a bit stubborn and have an attitude at times, but Victoria works her magic and always manages to get him out of hiding. She consistently sends wonderful photos and updates, which I really appreciate. I’ve relied on her multiple times, from weekends to full weeks, and she’s always been fantastic!”

About: Foster dog mom and dog sitter. Recently lost my beagle and miss pup time. I treat my friend’s dogs like my own and they actually encouraged me to start a profile. I like walking and don’t mind slow sniffers. I’m aware of squirrels and cats in my neighborhood and avoid them when necessary. I work full time but have availability evenings and weekends. Looking forward to long walks, tails wagging while sniffing and again meeting daily step goals. I have a small backyard and shotgun house which I own. I can crate if necessary but if your fur baby is trustworthy, I’m happy to let him or her free range guard my house during the day. The window facing the street is typically pretty entertaining. I got rid of my dog camera when Maggie passed away but may set an iPad up, again. Meet n Greets prior to a stay is a must, my foster dog is dog-shy at first but loves people.
“This is the second time Deana has watched my kitty. Just as good as the first time. He was very happy and well kept after. Deana was very thorough with lots of good pics and lots of information to let me know how he was. She’s a gem!!!”

“Doc was great, communicative, and took good care of my cats while I was out of town. My house is clean and the kitties are happy! Would definitely use them for drop ins again!”

“Caitlin was fabulous. Rosie got sick right before i left and she was really patient and understanding when i went back and forth about whether I should leave town. She took great care of Rosie during the drop ins and did all the crazy cat-mom things I requested. I was very lucky to have Caitlin sit and would have her back again in a heartbeat!”

“Danielle watched our dog Finley while we were away on spring break. We both felt immediately comfortable with her on our first visit. He was very well cared for. I highly recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Samantha was such a kind and communicative sitter for our sweet boy! She took the time to come meet him first and always shared thorough updates and loved on our kitty and was attentive to his unique personality. We highly recommend choosing Samantha for your fur babes & will definitely book her again! Thanks Samantha!”

“Robin was an exceptional choice to care for my four babies while I was away! She met my pack and my pride before I left town, and all of them took a liking to her right away. That was a great relief. She's very nice and was easy to talk to about all of the things that make each of my pets unique. (You know, the stuff that people who don't have animals think I'm weird for talking about. LOL) My dogs gave her a tour of the house and the yard. She sent me LOTS of pictures of my crew each time she visited them, and that set me at ease. She spent time with them during her visits. She noticed when one of the cats decided to become invisible. Her attention to details is exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely use her services again when I need someone I (and my pets) trust to stand in for me. I highly recommend her!”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about E and their amazing care of my rambunctious new kitten! I received daily updates that quelled my mama guilt about leaving this unexpected new family member alone for the week of vacay. Will 100% book again and again!”

“Sarah was great with my 5 1/2 month old kitten. She was able to play and cuddle with him during his first time apart from his family and he was in great spirits when we came home!”

“Cortney was a wonderful dog sitter- she was very responsive and calm even when my alarm randomly went off! I will definitely be using Cortney again to watch Maisy!”

About: My parents had dogs and cats before I was born, so I've literally had animals my entire life. As a young adult living in NYC, I shared a small apartment with two dogs and two cats for nearly 20 years. They were the center of my world, and honestly, the most important things in my life. More than 30 years later, I still dream about them. I’ve always loved animals—every single one. I’ve traveled the world to encounter and marvel at them. I’m the person who will stop at nothing to rescue the baby squirrel, injured bird, or stray dog, and who tries to gently guide the errant bug back outside, even though it completely grosses me out. But beyond loving animals, I'm also a preternaturally mature, responsible adult. I’m 58 (my mom would argue I’ve been 58 since I was five), and I retired early, which means I'm home, unhurried, and genuinely available, aside from taking long walks, swimming, yoga, and social plans. Having spent decades relying on pet sitters and dog walkers myself, I understand firsthand what separates someone adequate from someone truly invaluable. You're not just trusting someone with your pets — you're trusting them with your home, your routines, and the beings you love most in the world. I take that seriously. I'm attentive, observant, communicative, and calm in a crisis. I notice when something seems off in your house, with your pet, or otherwise. At this point in my life, I don't want another pet of my own — the emotional effort and the inevitable heartbreak. What I do want is more animals in my days: the walks, the companionship, the silliness, the comfort. In many ways, I've become the grandparent option — thrilled to love, walk, spoil, and care for your pets wholeheartedly, then hand them back to you exhausted and adored. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time. I can walk dogs or pop in to check on your pets anytime during the morning, daytime, or early evening. I'm also available to stay overnight. I care for pets in clients’ homes the same way I always hoped people would care for mine: attentively, responsibly, affectionately, and with enormous respect for both the animals and the home itself. I understand that allowing someone into your home and entrusting them with beloved pets requires a tremendous amount of trust. Having spent decades as both a pet owner and homeowner myself, I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m mature, observant, communicative, calm under pressure, and exceptionally conscientious. If something seems off with your pet, your home, or anything else, I will notice it and communicate immediately. I treat your home as I would my own - with care. It helps that I am extremely neat and tidy (maybe a tad OCD when it comes to cleanliness...). And, I am happy to follow any rules or guidelines the client has. As for the animals themselves, I genuinely enjoy being with them. I’m happy to do long walks, slower strolls, playtime, snuggling on the couch, medication routines, keeping to familiar schedules, or simply providing calm companionship and reassurance while you’re away. I know firsthand how much pets thrive on consistency, patience, affection, and a sense of safety. At this stage in my life, I do this because I truly enjoy reconnecting with the joy animals bring to everyday life. I’m not trying to build a huge business or rush through appointments. I simply love animals and enjoy caring for them well.
About: Hi, I’m Mike! I’ve had dogs my whole life, and have spent the last few years working as a dog sitter and walker. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, including hyperactive pups and senior dogs with mobility issues. I also have experience administering medicine. I am a 1000% dog LOVER so rest assured your furry friends will get all the love, attention, and play they deserve :) My schedule is flexible and I’m able to travel anywhere on the East Bank for walks and visits, potentially farther for a house stay! I don’t have any pets but my friends and neighbors regularly trust me to care for their best friends and I look forward to doing the same for you! <3 I’m seeking to continue taking care of pups full-time here in New Orleans so I’ve got nothing but time :) I don’t mind early mornings or late evenings! If a dog has a lot of energy, I love to match it and play all day! If they’re a little slower moving and like to smell the roses, I let them take their time :) I’m attentive, patient, and loving❤️❤️
Garden District pet parents share their Rover experiences
Alyssa has been a great cat sitter for us. Communicates frequently and quickly, sends reassuring updates with pics & videos, and provides good care and attention to our cat. We trust her 100% and I'm sad to be moving out of state and losing such a good sitter.

Recently booked Carlie for drop-in visits for our cat during our 5-day vacation. I was worried about leaving her with a rather long to-do list, but she handled it with ease. I also enjoyed the goofy pics she took of my girl and the report card she provided after every visit. She far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be booking with her in the future. Thank you again, Carlie! 😸

Sydney went above and beyond with my girls she is absolutely amazing and an all around beautiful person as well. I didn’t worry once about my girls while I was out of town for the first time ever and she went out of her way to do things that weren’t even required of her. I cannot thank her enough and am I am so lucky I found her !!! BOOK HER ASAP!!!!
