About: I’ve cared for many pets and farm animals since I was a child. I have multiple years of experience previously volunteering at the Kansas Humane Society. I currently live downtown and work from home with a flexible schedule. I have the time to share my affection with your fur babies or enjoy a long walk. I’m able to visit your home and spend time with your pet inside or let them outside. I’m also available for walks as short or long as desired. DAYCARE: I’m available to host any qualifying pet, but usually watch after dogs who are used to walking downtown. I live in the French Quarter and do not have any outdoor space at my property. Potty breaks will be leashed walks to the park, one block away.

About: Foster dog mom and dog sitter. Recently lost my beagle and miss pup time. I treat my friend’s dogs like my own and they actually encouraged me to start a profile. I like walking and don’t mind slow sniffers. I’m aware of squirrels and cats in my neighborhood and avoid them when necessary. I work full time but have availability evenings and weekends. Looking forward to long walks, tails wagging while sniffing and again meeting daily step goals. I have a small backyard and shotgun house which I own. I can crate if necessary but if your fur baby is trustworthy, I’m happy to let him or her free range guard my house during the day. The window facing the street is typically pretty entertaining. I got rid of my dog camera when Maggie passed away but may set an iPad up, again. Meet n Greets prior to a stay is a must, my foster dog is dog-shy at first but loves people.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have experience watching dogs for family and friends. I occasionally volunteer at ARNO and walk dogs. I also just adopted my own cat and love spoiling her with treats and toys! I am currently working from 8am-6pm MTWThF. I usually wake up very early in the mornings and can watch pets in the mornings before 8 am or after 6 pm. I have my own cat and prefer to care for pets in the clients home. I would be open to boarding cats at any time and dogs only on the weekends if they are cat friendly.

About: I was always the one to take care of our families dogs while growing up, so I have a lot of experience! Smaller dogs, bigger dogs, senior dogs…does not matter to me! I am currently ending an Americorps term so I have all the time in the world to play with your pups! I also always appreciate a daily dose of serotonin :) I always make sure there are clear instructions or specifics provided by the client when watching their pups if necessary! A safe and trustful environment is crucial in this type of work, which is my number one priority. An attentive attitude is also crucial, especially when being in a clients home.

On top of that, she even did other things such as helping my downstairs neighbor that was locked out of my building, carrying my heavy water bottles in that were delivered, and trying to fix my Internet. Jan was absolutely fantastic. I have a very unique pack of working and primitive breed dogs, and they definitely aren't the easiest group to care for. After just one meet-and-greet, Jan understood their personalities and made both me and my dogs feel completely at ease. What really impressed me was that he confidently took them on walks,...something that very few Rover sitters I've worked with have been comfortable doing. He handled each dog's quirks with patience, confidence, and a calm demeanor that my dogs responded to immediately. It's rare to find someone who truly understands working breeds and dogs with unique personalities, but Jan absolutely does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, especially if you have high-energy, independent, or quirky dogs that need someone experienced and confident. I'll definitely be booking with him again.
We had a wonderful experience with Cristina! She was communicative, thorough, and took amazing care of our cat, who requires multiple eye drop medications each day. We appreciated the updates and felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend Cortney for any drop-in needs! She checked in on our kitten while we were out of town over three days, and did a wonderful job keeping us updated, sharing pictures, etc. She is a great communicator, trustworthy, and very thoughtful in her messages. Sarah was great!! This was the second time she watched our pets (1 dog, 2 cats and a fish). She checked in on them multiple times a day, sent us updates, and followed the detailed notes we left her.
