“We love Elizabeth! She’s great with my Great Dane and has become our regular sitter. Responsive, great with care instructions, and super reliable. :)”

“Michelle got our older dog to quickly warm up to her and gave our 3 month old puppy extra play time. She left the house and crates in much better shape than we expected with a puppy still being crate trained. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“Faith was great with our Gina. She even made sure to ask questions about care for Gina, to make sure that she would have everything she needed. It was a last-minute booking, and faith made us feel comfortable, leaving our fur baby in her care.”

About: I am a highly athletic and dependable pet sitter and walker. I have worked with petite yorkies all the way up to great pyrenes. I believe in positive reinforcement and transparency. Let me know how I can best serve your pet(s)! I am available Friday-Sunday, and most mornings. I like to be active and can run dogs for 30 minutes, or walk for an hour at a time. I grew up in a household where we walk our dogs twice daily, no exceptions. I believe physical and mental exercises are necessary for all animals we share our homes with.
“Mindy is always great with Scout! I appreciate how communicative she is when she enters the home. She sends lots of pictures of Scout playing, being a goofball, and overall enjoying her company! I tell Scout “Aunty Mindy” is coming over and he quickly runs to the door to look for her.”

About: With my background in veterinary medicine, I understand that every pet has unique needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a senior companion, I offer attentive, loving care rooted in experience and empathy. As a vet tech, caring for animals is already part of my everyday life. With patience and communication, I will do all I can to provide reliable care before or after work and on weekends. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet. Whether in my home or yours, I ensure pets feel secure, comfortable, and loved while providing attentive supervision and care. I can follow routines, provide careful supervision, and offer loving, attentive care.
“Caitlin is amazing! She took extra great care of our cat while we were away for 10 days and made her feel like we never left, by giving her lots and lots of love. We’ll definitely work with Caitlin again in the future!”

About: I've had 2 cats and raised a corgi (including potty training). I love the win / win situation with walking dogs - healthy for both of us. I like jogging with them for short distances during the walk (if they're not too senior), and giving them lots of affection! I part-time teach at a college (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and work from home so it's a perfect fit for taking the pup out for a walk. I show them lots of attention and pets. I can also crate your dog if need be. I know the importance of routine with animals, so I'm good at sticking to schedules eating and walking times.
“Bianca is a wonderful and considerate cat sitter. My kitties were well loved and care for, she followed all instructions, and even brought our mail in when USPS ignored our hold request. Many thanks!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, so I’m able to care for pets whenever needed. Pet care easily fits my routine, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pets specific needs and schedule.your pets comfort and routine will always come first. I believe pets are most comfortable and relaxed in their own home, which is why I only offer care in the clients space. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect in return. Your pets safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities.
“Kelly was fantastic! She was able to work us into her day, despite the last-minute request. Kelly was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. All three pups loved her and were very happy on our return home. She came twice during the day and gave one of our dogs her medicine on the first visit. We are grateful to Kelly for the excellent care she provided and look forward to her helping us again soon!”

“She was fantastic! Our dogs are hard to please and she did great! The dogs loved her. Did everything we asked. She gave us updates and photos everyday!”

About: I have taken care of dog cats and animals ever since I can remember. As a child, a teenager and college student, I had a monopoly on taking care of my Neighbor’s pets. I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior dogs, multiple animals and even birds. I prioritize Service and Care and don’t like to keep you guessing. I value communication while you are away from your pets. I currently do freelance contract work, sometimes from home, and sometimes from other locations around New Orleans. I have a flexible schedule with periods of time to easily step away and spend time with your dog or cat! I have three cats and a sizeable fenced in yard. Your pet’s health, safety and comfort is the highest priority to me. I can’t wait to meet them!
“Lynda took fantastic care of my two kitties while I was away! I have a more difficult cat with a heart condition that requires extra care and oral medication, and Lynda was able to care for her with no problems. This was my first time away from my cats since I discovered my cat’s heart problem and Lynda really put me at ease with her excellent care and communication. I will 100% be booking with Lynda again!”

“Ashely was an absolute rockstar sitter. We looked forward to getting our drop in cards for our 2 boys. The boys looked so comfortable and happy in her pictures she sent us and we knew they were in great hands! We found our forever-sitter!”

About: Loving animals has always come naturally to me. Throughout most of my life, I've taken care of a wide variety of pets, including dogs, fish, cats, hamsters, reptiles, you name it!! I have fostered animals and always had my own pets. I currently have my own dogs, cat, and pet crawfish and I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them. When someone in my circle needs a pet sitter, they usually call me. I’d love to bring you peace of mind during your trip, knowing your babies are in good hands. Let me be their best friend while you’re away. I am a remote clinical social worker with flexible hours. I love spending my free time snuggling cats and walking dogs. I often am working out of the home for only a few hours each day. I follow pet parents’ instructions to the letter. As a fellow pet parent, I know that sometimes our requests feel silly, “Lucy needs to have pretend seasoning added to her food so she’ll eat it.” I’m here to reassure you that I get it! It’s not silly! Your Lucy deserves to feel as little disruption to her daily life as possible while you’re away. If you need a walker or drop in sitter, I am happy to follow any and all instructions. I also pride myself on staying up to date on best practices for both dog and cat care.
About: For the past 23 years, I’ve lived with dogs—from my parents to my siblings dogs. Now that I’m on my own without a dog, I am in need of some puppy loving! You can count of on me to give your pup all the love!!! I am currently in dental school, so I am able to walk dogs in the morning, lunch time, or in the afternoon. My school schedule can be flexible so other times may be available! I am happy to do anything that will make your dog(s) comfortable while their owners are away! I love going on walks and playing with dogs to help get their energy out.
Lake Terrace And Oaks pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nikki was wonderful! She was professional, on time for all drop ins, great with using the Rover card and adding pictures of my dog. Nikki even noticed that my senior dog was having some anxiety due to fireworks and gave him his anxiety meds and replaced his potty pads. Highly recommend- will reach out to her again for pet sitting!
