About: I’m an all around animal lover! I’m that person who will feed a stray and treat my own cat as my own. I've had pets since I was a little girl and taken care of them as well as my family's pets. I've also taken care of my friends' cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I also have experience with assisted dog birth delivery. I also give oral medication and provide round lock care for newborn kittens/puppies and have cared for senior pets. I have also cared for rabbits, hamsters, and reptiles. I’m currently a stay at home mom, so I have the time to help love and take care of your four legged child(ren). I’m available Tuesday-Friday before 12pm and after 5pm, Mondays after 4pm and all day weekends. I have a fenced yard, a friendly cat and 3 daughters who are animal lovers but understand the boundaries that sometimes come with pets. “I can’t say enough good things about Shannon. I came to her with a little bit of an odd request—more like an evening of babysitting our pup than a traditional dog sit. Happy is 5 months old and full of energy. And also still learning how to behave in someone else’s house. We were staying with our daughter and her family so we could attend a family wedding in a different city than where we live. I looked on Rover and found this woman with years of experience as a certified dog sitter, who seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I thought she would not be overwhelmed by a 5-month-old golden retriever pup. So I reached out to Shannon long distance and she was right there with all the good questions and suggestions about how to make my plan work. We chatted for about an hour to make sure we both felt comfortable and then I booked the appointment. Shannon even came to my daughter’s house the day before the wedding just to meet Happy and give me a chance to share any additional details. Then on the day of the wedding, she came right on time and gracefully managed our pup (walks, potty breaks, dinner, playing with our very young grandkids , settling for the night), which enabled our son-in-law to manage our two grandchildren without any additional complications. Her skill and kindness with Happy made the whole evening stress-free for all of us. It was a dream dog sit. When it came time for Shannon to leave, Happy just walked over and sat down right at her heels and nuzzled her hand. Thank you Shannon!”
