I work full time, so I fit pet care around my work schedule. I’m available on weekends and some Thursdays, which I’ve listed in my availability. I make sure to plan ahead so I can be consistent and give pets proper care and attention when I’m with them.

It’s important for me to know about any behavioral issues, medical conditions, or special needs a pet may have ahead of time. This includes how they respond to new people, other animals, or certain environments so I can make sure they are safe and comfortable. I also like to know their routine, preferences, and anything that helps keep them calm and happy while in my care.
A typical day
For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks and giving them time outside to run, explore, or play with their favorite toys. I also like playing fetch and giving them plenty of attention and exercise based on their energy level. For cats, I spend time engaging them with toys they enjoy and giving them playtime and interaction so they stay active and comfortable.

Pet care experience
I’ve been pet sitting for over 2 years and truly love caring for animals. Along with my experience providing overnight care, I currently work as a veterinary assistant, where I care for both dogs and cats in a professional setting. Working in vet medicine has helped me become comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, including senior pets and anxious animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and routine to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

This is Hunters 2nd stay and once again, everything was perfect! It’s such a relief knowing my he is in great hands when I’m away. Janice truly goes above and beyond—sending regular updates, photos, and making sure my dog feels right at home. I could tell my dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for.
