“Mary Kay is wonderful. We have a special needs dog that needs regular drop-ins at specific times because he has a medication routine. Mary Kay is who we rely on for help. She is dependable, communicative, and considerate. And she always goes above and beyond for our special needs pup. She even takes the time to give some love to our cats when she drops in. It’s clear she cares for animals. We couldn’t ask for someone better to entrust our little loved ones to. Thank you Mary Kay!”

“Suzanne did a wonderful job with our fur babies. Our girl cat can be cranky or a sweetheart and Suzanne knew how to bring the sweetheart out of her. She sent delightful photos of Peanut rubbing all up and down her leg in greeting and running around the house excitedly playing or having zoomies. We knew our cat was in good hands with her from the very beginning - just a vibe - but she proved to be responsible, attentive, and definitely went the extra mile to make sure we knew Peanut was being loved, food and maintenance was being taken care of, and that our other pets were also safe.”
“Jay was very easy to schedule with. He genuinely listened to my insane list of things for my cat, spent time playing with him, and made sure any accidents were cleaned up. As someone who has a cat with medical issues, I truly felt like my worries were attended to. I'm sure Blanket had a good time too!”

About: I have grown up loving and caring for dogs of my own as well as others. I have always been the person people always call when they have some kind of animal emergency. I absolutely love animals and know a lot about taking care of them and many different types. They will get lots of attention and quality care from me. I will spoil your baby as much as you will let me! I can administer any medication necessary. My dog takes pain meds twice a day so we are already on a medication routine. I have a flexible schedule so I can meet most needs. I keep in contact with you asap if there are any changes that are needed I live in a charming small house in the corner of Ferndale and a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I have a fully fenced in backyard that is about 97% privacy fence. There’s one little corner where my dog can talk to the dog in back through a chain-link fence. Lots of shade and grass
“Allie is so kind and does great work with our timid girl. Allie is patient and you can tell she is a great caregiver because she thinks of all of the little things (like placing her keys down to say hi because she knew keys might scare a nervous dog).”

“Nicole is the best! Knowing she is going to drop in on Louis always gives me peace of mind when I’m out. I feel so lucky that she even spends extra time with my pup!”

“Tara is a great cat sitter! She was very patient with and loving toward my standoffish cat, very prepared for everything required for catsitting, and willing to go above and beyond when I needed it while I was away. I would definitely recommend her as a catsitter and am looking forward to working with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been on Wag for a while and loved it so I wanted to expand my business to Rover! I’m looking forward to becoming a regular caretaker for your furry friend. I’ve done drop-ins for friends, families and clients on vacations. I make sure they get some loving and pets during each drop-in. I also have been volunteering at cat and animal shelters since high school. I love dogs and I like to run with dogs as well. I’m experienced with dogs that pull. A little about me. I’m a Master’s student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I currently work with children with Autism. Other than that, I love being active and enjoying nature. I am patient and understanding of any specific request you would want! I adore animals so I assure the best quality of care possible! I currently work part-time so I’m always looking for walks on my off-time. I’m available for sittings/boardings everyday unless I’m on vacation! I have a clean studio. I have a balcony, large windows and a big windowsill for your cat to sunbathe in. I have space for all of your cats’ needs!
“Jason was really sweet with my dog. She isn't the easiest dog and he was able to make her comfortable. He also took her on walks and showed up when he said he would. I appreciated the photo updates as well. Will definitely rebook with him!”

“I’ve had Kenny for a week. She’s amazing . I couldn’t ask for a better drop in sitter to be honest. With the commitment, level of care PLUS the time spent I can’t imagine having hired anyone else. Moving forward she will be my go to. I intend to keep her for weeks. In the hospital having a baby and complications since I can’t come home and she made accommodations to meet me; tend to my home and my cat. Very professional. Personal with the cat. Brought his confidence way up. On time, communication is perfect and documentation for visits is very reassuring for me and my daughter. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Thank you Kenna!!”

“Rachel is the greatest! She's done drop-ins for our pups on two separate occasions and always goes above and beyond. She's always on schedule, shows such deep care for our dogs and home, is exceptionally communicative, and is so fantastic to work with all around. You may not be able to find a better dog helper in the world!”
About: I have been caring for both cats and dogs my entire life, personally and professionally. This includes disabled + senior care! I do my best to match the energy & demeanor of each animal; if they are extra active & playful, I’m prepared to keep up! If they are more timid & anxious, I’m very gentle, patient, & soft spoken. I love animals a lot & I’m a natural when it comes to meeting their needs. I have an office job 3 days a week as well as a 4-year old but my time is shared and very flexible. I’m free by 4pm every single day and weekends are open. I have a 4 bedroom house with 2 cats & some gates so I generally keep them separated. My backyard is fenced in as well

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, but somewhere along the way I also became a bit of an animal nerd. I genuinely love getting to know each pet's unique personality and figuring out what makes them feel safe, happy, and understood. I share my home with a dog and a cat of my own, so caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's part of my everyday life. I've worked with playful puppies, wise senior dogs, energetic adventurers, anxious pets, and those wonderfully quirky little personalities that come with their own instruction manual. Every one of them has taught me something. As the proud human of a very particular senior dog, I've become especially tuned in to the little details that make a big difference. Most pets thrive on routine, familiarity, and feeling secure, so my goal is always to make your time away feel as normal as possible for them. Whether that means sticking to a detailed medication schedule, serving dinner in exactly the right bowl, or taking the "long way" because that's their favorite route, I'm all in. I'm dependable, respectful of your home, flexible with scheduling (including evenings), and quick to adapt to each pet's individual needs. My partner is always home with our own furry family when I'm caring for yours, so when I'm with your pet, they have my full attention. You'll often find me exploring Belle Isle with adventurous pups, playing endless games of fetch, hiking local trails, or—if your best friend prefers a slower pace—curled up on the couch giving championship-level snuggles. At the end of the day, I don't just want to care for your pets—I want them to be excited to see me walk through the door. And I want you to head home knowing they were loved just as much as they were looked after. Right now I'm a student, which means my schedule is wonderfully flexible and I have plenty of time to dedicate to your besties. Mondays and Wednesdays are my busiest days, so my availability is a little more limited then, but if you're looking for a regular walker, don't hesitate to reach out. There's still room to make something work! When your pet stays with me, they're treated like family. I have a fenced-in yard for zoomies, a spacious home full of cozy napping spots, and someone is almost always around for belly rubs, playtime, or simply keeping them company. Whether your dog is an athlete or a professional couch potato, they'll feel right at home. When I come to you, I like to think of myself as your pet's temporary personal assistant. Every visit is tailored to their personality and routine. High-energy pups can expect games of fetch, tug-of-war, long sniffy walks, or even a trip to the beach if that's their thing. More of an introvert? I'm perfectly happy to curl up with a book while your furry roommate supervises from the couch—or eventually decides my lap is acceptable. I'm comfortable administering medication, handling potty breaks, sticking to feeding routines, and navigating everything from enthusiastic eaters to tiny food critics. No judgment here—I know some pets have very strong opinions.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - University District
Amanda was referred to me by a neighbor who spoke very highly of her. I was so worried about leaving my cats and felt so much relief after being given the referral, instead of using a neighbor to help me. She followed my directions and I never worried the entire time I was gone as I knew everything was being taken care of. My cats are very fearful of strangers in the house and I want them to get to know her so I can feel comfortable when I leave on trips and they no longer are afraid. I will continue to use her going forward. She sent pictures and it looked like they would make an appearance when she was here so hopefully, that will get better each time.
First time user of Rover. I went out of the country for two weeks and my normal dog sitter fell thru last minute. I went and used Rover after many people recommending. I messaged a few sitters and sally was the first to respond. I cant begin to express how happy I was with her services and providing a great experience for my dog and cat. She was very transparent, provided multiple updates and was very timely with all her visits during the two weeks I was gone. I booked her for 3x a day for two weeks and showed up with them all on time. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again for sure!
