“This was my first time using Rover and my cat is an old lady so I was pretty anxious about using it. Mary Kay definitely made me feel like my cat was in the right hands! Her reports were detailed and she shared many wonderful pictures. Thank you so much for taking care of Baby!”

“Rhea did a great job with Spock! She sent cute pictures of his outside time and him getting a treat, and she put a bowl of water down when his fountain stopped working 10 out of 10 stars!!”

“Allie is so kind and does great work with our timid girl. Allie is patient and you can tell she is a great caregiver because she thinks of all of the little things (like placing her keys down to say hi because she knew keys might scare a nervous dog).”

About: My family always had cats and dogs while I was growing up and I’ve also lived with animals on and off throughout my adult life. I wanted to use the down time that I have to care for local animals. I love both cats and dogs! Aside from some freelance work I’m doing on the side, I have ample availability to help care for animals while I’m in the job market for a new full time role. Currently only able to house sit in clients homes as well as drop ins and dog walking if nearby where I’m currently staying in Detroit.
“Rachel is the greatest! She's done drop-ins for our pups on two separate occasions and always goes above and beyond. She's always on schedule, shows such deep care for our dogs and home, is exceptionally communicative, and is so fantastic to work with all around. You may not be able to find a better dog helper in the world!”
About: My husband and I work from home and have very flexible schedules that allow us to be present with our pets during the day. There are no kids in the home during the day during the week. Typical day include walks around the neighborhood or nearby park, lounging or playing in the backyard or the dog park. Plenty of toys for chewers and plenty of space in our fenced yard to roam and play. I currently work from home as a technology sales rep. When I am not working, I’m entertaining both my toddler and pets. I often have a decent amount of free time and dog sitting has been a great outlet for my dog to socialize and get some fun in! For repeat pets, I have noticed a big difference after a few days of adjusting. Its important for pets to feel safe in whatever space they are in.
“Came home from a busy work trip to find my cats calm and content! They loved all the play time with Grace and I enjoyed the daily pictures she sent while away from home. Truly appreciate the peace of mind knowing my babies are in safe and cared for in Grace’s care!”

“Sam Q was great. She understood complicated directions and fed, watered, and medicated my elderly kitty. Would definitely recommend, and will book again myself with, Sam Q.”

“Really appreciated being able to do a drop-in before a longer house sitting stay. Nicole provided lots of updates and pictures, and Louis seemed perfectly content when I got home.”

About: In a fast paced environment it is easy to overlook our place in the world as animals. Being in close contact with other beings can create connectedness and a sense of place in nature. Simple tasks like dog walking may seem beneath most people, but I see it as an act graciousness and a chance to connect to other beings. As a walker or sitter my goal is to consciously occupy space with your pet. This, for me, means accommodating and changing as situations seem fit. I would also like to stay conscious of any owners wishes and feelings regarding the service I may provide and remember that it is only a service if it works to make their and their pets experience more comfortable.
About: I'm calm and patient with every animal, and I am committed to treating them as my own. I have plenty of experience and I will give your pets the attention they deserve. Trust and safety are a priority for me. My goal is to give pet parent piece of mind as a caring companion. I am a full time baker at a local coffee shop. As my childhood dogs are at the end of there road. I love meeting new pups and cats after working! I'm always available to take care of your babies! I am a lifelong animal lover with two friendly dogs and a sweet kitten. I treat pets like part of my family. They will get affection and play time. I will be sure to make your pet feel safe and welcome. Sticking to their routine and providing updates so you know how they are doing is a priority for me. They are in safe, loving, and capable hands!
Martin Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
"Carissa was PHENOMENA with my cats! Even my most skittish cat warmed up to her quickly, which is rare!! She clearly has a natural way with animals and made sure my pets felt safe and loved while I was away. I came home to calm, happy, and well-cared cats. I will definitely be booking with Carissa again and highly recommend her

Erik is so great with my cat. He takes great care of her and goes above and beyond to look out for my entire household. My dog has been gone the last couple of drop ins, but I look forward to Erik taking care of her too. He is clearly a natural animal lover and will care for your pet as if it’s his own.

This was my first booking and Krysia made the whole experience so easy! She was able to accommodate my last-minute request, and she sent photos of my cat Grady warming up to her quickly, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I’m definitely reaching out for any future request. Thanks again!!
