About: I have been around and grown up with all different animals my whole life! Even though I have been taking care of animals my whole life, I started overnight stays 5 years ago during my freshman year of college. I am comfortable with animals of all kinds and will do whatever they need to feel comfortable. I have experience giving different medications and following specific routines. I have two crazy German shorthaired pointers back at home and they are super high maintenance so I am used to it all! I completely understand that animals are family members and I am sure to do whatever possible to treat them the same way you would to be sure both them and you can stay stress free! I am currently a physical therapy student at UNC, so I do have classes during the day. However, if possible I will be sure to stop by in between classes and spend the rest of my free time with the animals. My best availability is from Friday night through Sunday night, but can still be there throughout the week just with less total hours spent at the house. I will be sure to follow whatever routine your animal and you are most comfortable with! Whatever is needed I can get done. I also keep things clean and will be sure to leave your house cleaner than when you left it!

“Naotake and his wife, Hitoko, did a fabulous job watching Penny Friday afternoon-Monday morning while I was out of town. I couldn't be happier with the care they provided and never once questioned their competency or intentions. From finding them on Rover to meeting in person and concluding the sit, they had perfect communication. They answered all of my questions (and vice versa), eased my anxieties, and provided a plethora of information about their experiences caring for pets. I met them in person prior to the sit and they were very warm and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed/appreciated getting to know them and building a relationship prior to the sit. They were very sweet, accommodating, and passionate about the work they do. During the sit, the responded promptly to my messages and sent tons of videos/photos of Penny. They also sent multiple daily (morning & night) updates about how she was doing, what they had planned for the day, and any questions they had. Naotake and Hitoko went above and beyond, taking Penny on long walks, to the dog park, and in the car for fun rides around town. Considering that Penny has occasional health issues, can be reactive around other dogs, and is currently being crate trained, I was nervous about being apart and worried she would be burdensome for sitters. Naotake and Hitoko never made me feel this way, going out of their way to make me and Penny feel comfortable, supported, and loved. Penny did great with them, got tons of exercise and stimulation, and even had positive experiences with others dogs at the park (which is rare). I'm so appreciate of them for making my trip stress free and treating Penny like their own. If you're looking for kind, authentic, and transparent sitters, Naotake and Hitoko are for you. They accommodated all of my requests, from making Penny kongs, wiping her paws after walks, and following crating/walking routines to ease her anxiety. I will absolutely be booking again.
