“Naotake and his wife, Hitoko, did a fabulous job watching Penny Friday afternoon-Monday morning while I was out of town. I couldn't be happier with the care they provided and never once questioned their competency or intentions. From finding them on Rover to meeting in person and concluding the sit, they had perfect communication. They answered all of my questions (and vice versa), eased my anxieties, and provided a plethora of information about their experiences caring for pets. I met them in person prior to the sit and they were very warm and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed/appreciated getting to know them and building a relationship prior to the sit. They were very sweet, accommodating, and passionate about the work they do. During the sit, the responded promptly to my messages and sent tons of videos/photos of Penny. They also sent multiple daily (morning & night) updates about how she was doing, what they had planned for the day, and any questions they had. Naotake and Hitoko went above and beyond, taking Penny on long walks, to the dog park, and in the car for fun rides around town. Considering that Penny has occasional health issues, can be reactive around other dogs, and is currently being crate trained, I was nervous about being apart and worried she would be burdensome for sitters. Naotake and Hitoko never made me feel this way, going out of their way to make me and Penny feel comfortable, supported, and loved. Penny did great with them, got tons of exercise and stimulation, and even had positive experiences with others dogs at the park (which is rare). I'm so appreciate of them for making my trip stress free and treating Penny like their own. If you're looking for kind, authentic, and transparent sitters, Naotake and Hitoko are for you. They accommodated all of my requests, from making Penny kongs, wiping her paws after walks, and following crating/walking routines to ease her anxiety. I will absolutely be booking again. About: I have loved dogs since before my parents finally fulfilled my Christmas wish for a puppy when I was five. Since then, dogs have been a constant in my life and a crucial source of joy and fulfillment. Over the last decade I embraced the adult side of dog love by regularly dog sitting for friends and family and eventually adopting a dog of my own. Dogs have always been one of the best parts of my life and I look forward to meeting yours! I don't have a formal dog training certification, but I think my dog Rafiki would gladly give me one. I adopted Rafiki 7 years ago and he is wonderful. His special talents include spinning his tail like a helicopter and being the first dog that 'non-dog-lovers' actually enjoy. He was not always such a dream though. When he was a puppy he had all sorts of terrible habits that I won't get into (RIP tv remotes, shoes, untoppled drinks). I decided that I needed some help with this adorable rambunctious puppy and signed him up for day camp training with a trainer in Durham. Every day when I picked him up, the trainer would spend 30 minutes to an hour teaching me how to work with Rafiki. He taught me a million things and really opened my eyes on how interact with dogs, how to read their body language, and how to best communicate with them. Though I’m no expert, I’d be happy to reinforce any training or problem-solving you’re working on with your pup. I am also happy to just spend some quality time together making sure their time away from you is fun, safe and enriching. I would love the chance to take your pup on some walks and adventures while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they are in good hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I like to stay active and enjoy hikes and walks with our furry friends. My dog is able to come in and out as he pleases. We have a fenced in yard (front and back) with plenty of room to play.

“Hannah was wonderful with our pup, Blazey, who was a first-time boarder. She was patient and gentle with Blazey and gave her time to acclimate to the new surroundings. Blazey is a rescue from a breeding lab so she takes a lot of care and patience and is not fond of change. Hannah sent us pictures everyday, sometimes several times a day, which greatly eased our minds. Blazey was glad to see us when we got back but it's such a comfort to know she was taken care of just like she was at home! Thank you, Hannah! We will definitely be asking for help again.”
