I'm flexible and can care for your animals solely at your home or, for dogs, I can bring them out to walk on our local trails. I have a large minivan with kennels inside so your dog will travel comfortably and safely. I keep my cell phone off when I drive and I travel directly from your home to a walking trail/area. I never mix errands with dog walking and prefer to walk dogs without earbuds/headphones so I am aware of our surroundings at all times.
Information Katherine C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your animal(s) have any special needs regarding entering your home, putting out food/water, how much physical activity they can do and if they need any medications. I also like to know if they have any specific fears or anxiety around every day circumstances such as loud noises, storms or separation anxiety.
A typical day
I follow the activity restrictions set by pet parents however, if your pet has the "all clear", I like to take dogs on 30 minute walks outdoors. With cats, a laser pointer, a ball of yarn, or the tab off a milk gallon can give them the mental and physical stimulation they need. If your pet is more chill than active, I like to talk to them, pet them and get them to move gently. For older dogs, a short walk around the house is helpful for them.

Dependable pet/nature lover!
Pet care experience
Since childhood, I've been surrounded by dogs, dog training and field trial competition. I've cared for dogs, cats, pigeons, fish, hamsters, gerbils, and horses and I enjoy each creature's personality and gifts. I've worked in the hospitality industry my whole life and now, I'm looking forward to spending my time with my family, my animals, my crafts and travel. Part time pet care allows me to do all of that! Taking care of other folks' animals is a pleasure for me. Our beloved pets simply want activity, love, and care...and FOOD! I'm very comfortable with senior pets or young animals, and can adapt to each animal's need for interaction. I'm experienced following detailed instructions, administering medications, and adhering to schedules and routines. I also like hanging with your animal -- sometimes a pet wants to know there's someone there for them. I love taking photos of animals and sharing them with their pet parents!

Reviews

Kate was a lifesaver I was having a busy day and the pup was being crazy and needed a walk. Kate came right over and walked her and she was chill the rest of the morning! Thank you Kate!!!

Katherine is very sweet and patient with our dogs,. Goes way beyond the expected.

Kate is a lifesaver 🫶🏻 she sat for my 2 cats recently and was so wonderful with them, this time I needed some emergency dog walking after I got struck down with the plague. We were able to make same-day arrangements and she did a fantastic job of getting my 7lb bark-ball to calm down and enjoy some time outside. Thank you Kate!!

Katherine is always very responsive and helpful and the kitties love having her check in on them!
