“I had a really great experience with Juniper. Juniper took wonderful care of my cats, sent regular updates and photos, and made me feel very comfortable while I was away. My cats looked happy and well cared for when I got back home. Juniper even left a little drawing of one of my cats, which was such a sweet and thoughtful surprise. I really appreciated the extra care and kindness. I would absolutely book with Juniper again!”

“We had a fantastic experience! Communication was excellent throughout our trip, with regular updates and plenty of pictures that gave us peace of mind. Zane clearly had a great time, and it was obvious he was well cared for. Everything we requested was handled exactly as discussed, and our sitter even went above and beyond by helping with a few house-related tasks while we were away, which we really appreciated. Our sitter was also very attentive to Zane’s needs and didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns when appropriate, which showed a genuine level of care and professionalism. We came home to a happy dog and a well-looked-after home. Zero complaints, we would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring pet sitter.”

“Tiffany was wonderful with our pug, Marcy! She stopped by several times while we were away to make sure that Marcy was fed, walked, and got some quality play time. I really appreciated the pictures she took, as I always miss Marcy so much when I’m away. Tiffany is extremely knowedgable in dog care. I felt very safe leaving Marcy in her hands. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Highly recommended! We reached out to Yihua to see if she could take care of Hacker, while we were away on a business trip. She responded promptly and arranged a meet-and-greet ahead of time to meet us and Hacker, which immediately gave us confidence. During the visit, she carefully asked about Hacker’s daily routines, feeding preferences, and any additional tasks needed for each visit. We told her that besides changing the water and refilling dry cat food, it would be great if she could also give him a lick-able cat treat and 10–12 pieces of cat's multivitamin each time. She took detailed notes and made sure everything was clear. Throughout the week we were away, Yihua did an outstanding job. She not only took wonderful care of Hacker and spent time playing with him, but also sent us plenty of photos and short videos, which really reassured us while we were out. When we returned home, Hacker was in great condition. It was obvious he had been very well cared for. We will definitely be reaching out to Yihua again for pet sitting in the future!”

“Christian was our first ever Rover, and he did a great job sending us pictures and updates at each check in to ensure we felt comfortable leaving two big energetic dogs in his care! We came home to two very happy dogs and would love to work with Christian again the next time we need a sitter.”

“Rachel has been amazing with Millie. She goes above and beyond. She is a great communicator and takes care of Millie as if she was her own dog. It gives me so much peace to be at work knowing my dog is getting loved on so well by Rachel.”

“This was my first time using Rover—and my first time having someone outside of family care for my furry family member. I was a bit hesitant at first, not knowing what to expect. But Rover made the process easy, and more importantly, I found a wonderful cat caregiver in Brooke. We did a meet-and-greet at my home, and I instantly knew my cat was comfortable when he greeted her at the door. Brooke was attentive as I explained his routine and asked thoughtful questions that showed her experience and genuine care. While I was traveling, she checked in daily with detailed notes and adorable photos (bonus: she has a real knack for capturing the best pet moments!). From my cat’s relaxed expressions, it was clear he was well cared for, not stressed, and thoroughly enjoying the playtime and treats Brooke provided. Knowing he was in such good hands gave me tremendous peace of mind. I’ll absolutely be booking Brooke again for future trips!”

About: New to River, but not new to pet care! I’m a long time pet owner and have owned dogs, birds, cats and a horse and currently own a 1 year corgi. I regularly volunteer at animal rescues and am currently volunteering at Seattle Humane. I have experience with training puppies and working with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve taken classes with my dog since he was a puppy and understand positive reinforcement training. Let’s schedule a meet and greet and see if we’re a good fit! I work remote and on an earlier schedule so can be pretty flexible with your needs. Also available for regular check-ins or longer adventure walks or hikes. And if your pup is accustomed to off leash dog parks and has reliable recall, I’d be happy to take them. The safety and well being of your pets is my priority. I’m happy to accommodate reasonable requests like wiping paws before coming in the house if that’s something your regularly do with your pup.
“Choose Angela if you want worry-free care for your pets. Angela was quick to respond to any messages and did an awesome job making sure my cat was fed, watered and happy. I will use her again without hesitation. Thank you, Angela!”
About: I have cared for animals ever since I was very young, and officially at 9 years old when I got a little hands on experience caring for horses at my riding club. Then more hands on experience when I officially started volunteering at my club for 2 years. But more importantly, I have cat care, and dog care experience. I am responsible for my 2 kitties that I own and I have dog sat 2 puppers for a family friend in the recent past. Animals are a huge part of my life and it has been my dream to follow a career path based around animals ever since I was a little kid. I genuinely want more pet sitting experiences and I would love to care for as many fur babies as I possibly can. I work part time so I have lots of availability in my week to take care of your fur babies. During my available days which are Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, I am very flexible and will be ready to care for your pets at the times you need me to. To keep my kitties safe, my home is cat proofed and I am always on the look out for small objects, wrappers, or anything on the ground that might be dangerous for them. I will do the same in your home to make sure your pets are safe and sound. I will safely take your dogs on walks, feed them, and play with them based on the routine you would like me to follow. As well as any special feeding instructions they have. I will keep your puppers and kitties entertained and well fed. I will also clean their food and water dishes when needed and snuggle with them. I can adjust to whatever your pet needs based on their personality, energy level, or whatever they need in general.
About: Hi! I’m Paige, a lifelong animal lover and current graduate student. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and would absolutely love to have a furry friend of my own someday. For now, though, graduate school doesn’t quite make pet ownership feasible – which is one of the reasons I’m excited to spend time caring for other people’s pets! I’m attentive, responsible, and genuinely invested in making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I know that leaving your pet with someone else requires a lot of trust, so I take that responsibility seriously. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routines and preferences closely, whether that means walks, playtime, medication, feeding schedules, extra cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I also believe good pet care starts with good communication. I’ll make sure you know how your pet is doing while you’re away and will treat your instructions, home, and pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’d love to meet your furry family member and give them plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you’re away! 🐾 As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to build pet care into my routine and give each pet the time and attention they need. I’m intentional about keeping my commitments manageable so I can be dependable and present when caring for your pet. I’m happy to coordinate around your pet’s usual routine, whether they need regular walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, or companionship. I’ll communicate clearly about my availability ahead of time and make sure your pet’s care is something I can genuinely commit to – not something I’m trying to squeeze in between other obligations. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. Before a visit or stay, I make sure I understand your pet’s routine, needs, preferences, and any safety considerations so I can provide consistent care while you’re away. Growing up with dogs and fostering cats from a young age taught me to pay close attention to animals’ behavior and body language and to let them adjust at their own pace. I never assume every pet needs the same approach – some want lots of play and attention, while others need patience, space, and a quieter environment. I’m careful about doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and other potential hazards, and I’ll follow your instructions closely. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll also be respectful of your space and leave things as I found them. Most importantly, I’ll keep you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and in good hands.
“Timea was amazing! My cats were extremely well looked after. Their visit report cards always had some extra notes about what the cats themselves were up to and multiple cute pics. They quickly started trusting her (which is rare for one of our cats) and I never worried about them knowing they were in such good hands. Will definitely be calling Timea again in the future. Highly recommended.”

“Jeany was so great! My cat seemed to love her! She took a good amount of photos, cleaned up any messes, and had plenty of cuddle time with our gal. Next time we are away she will be my go to, if she is available that is. Thank you for giving us peace of mind Jeany.”
“Raquel is AMAZING. She has been sitting my 2 kitties for a few months now, and me and the cats both love her. She is so attentive to their habits and leaves detailed notes if anything is out of the ordinary even a little bit. She has learned their routine and personalities and cares for them like they are her own. I’ve requested her last min with only hours notice, over holidays, and for extended periods of time and she has always been willing to hop in to make sure they are cared for. You cannot put a price on having an excellent sitter that you are able to fully and wholly trust with your pets while you’re gone. I cannot recommend her enough. If you want your fur babies in the best hands, Raquel should be your first choice.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Union Hill-Novelty Hill
Andi is just wonderful! If Rover has an award for cat sitter of the year, she gets my nomination and vote. She's reliable, caring, genuinely interested in who your pet(s) is/are. She notices the little things that make a difference - like setting up the kitty grass growing kit for Sophia (that I forgot to do). Sophia enjoyed - and is still enjoying - chewing on that grass every day. I had such peace of mind knowing Sophia was in her care. And, she's a great (!) kitty photographer.

Excellent service; very professional, caring and reliable mother/daughter team. They made friends very quickly with our very shy rescue cat. They take good pictures and send detailed information on how the cat is doing. We look forward to reading their comments on the Rover Card. This is our second time using them, and we will continue in the future. We highly recommend them!

Yihua took such great care of Kaiju and gave her so much love while I was away. Kaiju is normally pretty timid, so it made me so happy seeing her come out of her shell. She was great at communicating and made the whole trip stress-free. I’d absolutely book her again!

Ben did a great job with our three cats. He arrived reliably to take care of their necessities, and ensured each cat got some attention and play time. This was especially important for our most skittish cat who can be hard to coax out, especially when her brothers like to hog the toys. We immediately noticed when we got home that she was more interactive and assertive at play time which is fantastic. He always sent us pictures and short videos from each visit, and we looked forward to each of them daily. We would definitely hire him again.

Ace did a great job with our cats, both of whom have different needs that are (unfortunately) incompatible. Ace was super professional and knew how to handle our cats through clear experience. Check-ins were timely and everything was done “up to spec” per the instructions and walkthrough we did. And our cats were nice and happy when we got home!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
