“Aina was so sweet and I could tell that she took great care of Charlie. She kept updating me about how Charlie was doing along with pictures. I will definitely recommend her and will continue to use her service in the future Thanks Aina, Charlie was one happy pup!”

“I have started to leave Mia with Xi for last 4 weeks. Honestly my experience with Rover has not been great. Xi completely changed the narrative for me . She is reliable, honest, kind and loving. She is awesome . She shares the pictures frequently, keeps providing the update, works with Mia to keep her calm. We really appreciate Xi.”

“Zappy is fantastic!! Super communicative, which I really appreciate. Her dog is sweet and gets a long with mine very well, which helps his anxiety. My dog is always super stressed at drop off because he hates to be away from Mama, but after only 5 minutes, I get a picture of a happy and relaxed dog! I've definitely had sitters with whom he didn't relax and he always looked stressed/sad in pictures, but never with Zappy! She engages him in his favorite activity (fetch) and definitely treats him as if he were her own. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will rebook in the future.”

I live on a large forested property in Redmond that's fenced in, we love to get to know new personalities an our pups will never pass on a new play mate. I work 4 days a week at a grooming salon my husband is home 24/7 with boards. We like to spend time outside but if the weather is bad it's cuddle central inside. We do about 4 or 5 potty breaks a day an one or two good play sessions outside before settling into the evening. Outside time is monitored the whole time to ensure everyone is safe and happy while playing in our beautiful yard. I am comfortable giving oral meds an insulin shots to our dearly beloved friends. About: I have cared for animals on my farm for almost 20 years. From cats to dogs, cows, pigs, horses, and chickens, I love to care for animals. For the first time, I am without an animal on my 20 acre retired farm and would love to invite your pet to join me here. I am recently retired and would enjoy spending time with your pup. There's plenty of open space and activities to offer your furry friend. My land is fenced for your dog to exercise and play. Of coarse, there is also time for hugs and pets. I have an exterior fence around the 20 acres and an interior fence around my home. I have the necessary experience to meet your dog's needs and help them feel comfortable, cared for, exercised, and loved. Being retired, I have plenty of time for dog walks at the farm or on the many trails that surround this area. We can also walk around the Redmond shops if that is type of socializing they enjoy. Perhaps they are senior dog that just want to hang out? I want to know what your pet is comfortable with and then provide continuity. Each day of the week, we will have time to exercise, hang out, and have fun so you can relax knowing that your dog is being given special attention. Your pet's safety is primary. It is the first thing on my mind when making a decision for your dog. My fenced property provides plenty of safe leashed or off-leash play while being supervised and engaged. For smaller dogs, the fenced space around my house may be more than enough room. Also my years of experience with a range of animal health care issues allows me the necessary confidence to know when your loved one needs additional care or vet care. Before leaving your pet with me, we will go over all of their dietary, medical, and social needs and requirements so that I can make informed choice and keep them on a routine which is comfortable for them.
“Amy was amazing! She invited us into her home during our initial meeting and our pup immediately felt right at home. Amy took our pup to the dog park, gave him lots of cuddles, and ensured he received his meds in the evening. She sent us plenty of photos throughout the day and was so responsive to texts. We definitely plan to book Amy again! Thank you, Amy!”

About: Dogs have been at the center of my life for over 20 years. From my Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terrier to my Golden Retriever, each one has been family and has shaped how I connect with and understand dogs. I’ve also opened my home to foster dogs, giving them a safe, loving space where they can relax, adjust, and feel cared for. Having experienced the joy of having dogs as part of my family, I also understand how much trust it takes to leave them with someone else. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your dog will be loved, comforted, and treated like one of my own. And my whole family is with me on this journey... I have a flexible work-from-home schedule and keep my availability updated regularly to ensure I can provide attentive, consistent care. When I accept a booking, your dog will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and interaction throughout the day. I’m available most weekends and try to be flexible with drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home where dogs are treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time, along with a comfortable indoor space where your dog can relax and feel at home. I share my home with my friendly and gentle Golden Retriever, who has grown up alongside a Yorkshire Terrier and is especially calm and respectful with smaller dogs. She’s well-socialized and enjoys the company of other dogs, but I always ensure slow, thoughtful introductions so everyone feels comfortable. I also send regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone.
“Fiona was great with my corgi Jasper. Jasper has Addison’s and was a recent owner surrender so I was worried about how he would do. Fiona kept me updated and gave me insights on how to keep Jasper calmer for his next stay. Look forward to staying with them again!”

“Maggie had her first daycare day with Luisa today and it was a resounding success! She came home happy and tired after spending several hours getting to know Luisa and taking a couple walks on such a beautiful day (and closely inspecting Luisa’s beautiful sunny apartment!). Luisa was wonderful! Maggie took to her immediately and I was very comfortable leaving her in Luisa’s care. Luisa has a calm and serene presence while also being fun and playful with Maggie - it was a joy to see them interact. I loved all the photos Luisa shared with me during the day and in the Rover card I just received. We didn’t get the opportunity to meet Phillip but are looking forward to seeing him next time! Highly recommend 👍🏼!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
