“Tiarra has been WONDERFUL to our new puppy. Our girl loves her walks and visits with Tiarra and I’ve been impressed by her communication and professionalism. Her service is top notch and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing her care for a pet.”

“Kasey and Charlie were awesome! They took great care of our two cats (one of which is a bit high-maintenance). We received updates during each visit with information about how each cat was doing, along with lots of pictures. Our cats seemed pretty happy when we returned home after two weeks. Will definitely use Kasey’s services in the future!”

“Brooke was great! My mother had passed away, on a Tuesday, funeral on Thursday ( was out of town), and Brooke was an angel to check up on the dogs on such short notice. Highly recommend Brooke.”

“This is the first time I’ve used a pet sitter instead of boarding my cat Cali as I felt she would be more comfortable in her own home. I came across the Rover website and booked a sitter close to my home. My cat has an automatic feeder for dry food as well as a water fountain. So, the only “services” I needed were to feed her wet food in the evening and clean the litter box. I met with my sitter, Amy, and explained how to access my home, where to dispose of litter etc. Amy did an excellent job and even went above and beyond to try and get a photo of Cali, who hides from strangers. Thai has been a great experience and I will definitely use Rover and Amy again.”

“Missy was so wonderful with my puppy Corbin! I had zero concerns leaving him in her hands. She was very communicative, followed directions, was respectful of my home, and was detailed in her updates. The photos she included in her updates were the highlight of my day! I could tell she really enjoyed her time with him and he was having fun and felt safe with her. Thank you so much, Missy!!!”

“Katherine did a great job taking care of my three cats. She did everything I asked and even sent me pictures of them. Her fee was very reasonable. I will use her to watch my cats again in the future if needed!”

“I’ve rebooked Laura a few times now and she’s great! She communicates efficiently and is wonderful with our puppy Beau! She sends pictures and videos while she’s there which puts me at ease. I’m grateful for her help!”

“Abigail was great with our two cats! She gave us peace of mind while traveling and was even able to give our older cat her subcutaneous fluids while we were gone! She let us know how each visit went and sent pictures.”

About: We’ve had animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm in southern KY I am used to caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, miniature pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc! Our animals have always been apart of our family and go where we go! Our animals are allowed on the furniture, sleep in our bed, and love to visit our parents house! I am a stay at home mom so adding a pet into our daily routine is actually pretty easy! We’re used to care for our own dog! We just have them join whatever we’re doing which makes it easier. I have two Littles who love to play outside and take them walks so I usually just have our pups tag along! Our pups routine is usually out to pee in the morning, a walk after her breakfast, lots of outdoor play or sunbathe time while me and my two kiddos play our back, another walk once the kids take their naps, more play time with the kids, another walk after dinner, then a pee break before we get into bed for the night! I’m home all day as a stay at home mom and my husband is fully remote so our pup is used to having somewhere there for whatever she needs or when we do go out and about if we’re able to we take her! Our dog frequents our parents house for even more cuddles and play! Animals are always part of the family on our end.
“My adorable Kitten absolutely loved Alyssa as her caretaker when I was gone for two weeks. I can tell they loved each other and became best of friends right from the start. That means the most, it assures me that my fur baby is happy and safe with Alyssa. She did an amazing job entertaining Kitten and updating me with lots of photos! I will be using Alyssa again in the near future and would highly recommend her for your pets.”

About: Ever since I was a little girl I always had a soft spot for all animals. I mainly grew up with labs and retrievers but as I got older my family ventured into getting a small dog. Together we raised our shih tzu (penny) and she is the best dog ever! Aside from my personal life - I have experience with a variety of services such as overnight sitting, drop in visits, and general dog walking. I own my own cat so I’m fully capable of taking cat of your cats needs as well :) Pet sitting is something I do because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work full-time during the week, so Rover is my side gig, which means I carefully limit the number of bookings I accept to ensure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I'll treat your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether it's sticking to their routine, giving medications if needed, playing with them, or simply providing companionship, I'm committed to giving you peace of mind through reliable, attentive care.

About: For years of my life I’ve not only cared for myself but also for my pets. Day to day I make sure that they live the happiest life possible! Every morning I like to greet my fur friends and feed them their breakfast before I leave. Whenever I return I give them all the love they deserve while they accompany me throughout the rest of my day. I also play with them when they feel energetic and then at their dinner time I feed them. Most of the time I let them approach me before interacting and when sleeping or tired I give them the most of their pets. I let them be curious to an extent and I love them every second I can get!

“Edith arrived promptly with a warm smile and a gentle voice to greet Louie. She clearly knows how to handle an excitable dog. Her experience and calm manner did the trick so he could enjoy her company on their walk. We are so thankful to have met and hired her!”

Rachel did an amazing job taking care of my pets. She was on time with their visits and even stayed over extra to make sure they got extra care. All feedings and potty times went as scheduled. My dog Maisey is very shy and she even got her to cuddle and play with her! My cat hides and she even managed to get him out on the last day she visited my home. If your looking for someone to sit with a pet that is people shy should give her a try.

Louie's new best friend is Edith!! You can feel her genuine care and concern for learning his quirks and how best to handle him. She is a very conscientious person and we feel totally confident while he is in her care. We look forward to many more happy visits.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
