About: I’ve been pet sitting professionally for around 5 years now and am very comfortable with most kinds of animals. I have experience in training pups, senior care, and medication administration. I’ve cared for animals with tumor-induced epilepsy, blastomycosis, diabetes, recovery from surgery, etc. In other words, I am prepared to care for your animal in whatever capacity they require. I work a part-time position that requires Saturday evenings and at least one 8 hour shift in the morning through the week. Other than that, I am available to be with your companions at all times of the day as per need. I will care for your pet in whatever capacity necessary. If they must be crate trained at night, fed daily medicine, diaper changed, regular training practice in basic skills (sitting, etc.), frequent walks, bathed, trimmed, I'm your girl. I’ll do my best to make them comfortable with me and happy in your home (even if that means love from a distance for some of our timid fellas).

About: I’ve been taking care of pets regularly since 2017, but I’ve loved pets for much longer. Once I adopted my first dog Mia, my love for her grew into a love for every dog I lay eyes on, and I quickly became the designated sitter for all my friends’ pets. I’ve done it all from staying at their houses, taking their pets into my house, popping in for walks or play dates, and even taking in lost animals off the street to reunite them with their owners. Anything that gives me a chance to show an animal love and genuine care sets my heart aglow. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, and that’s why when I pet sit, I treat your pets like my own because I know that’s exactly what I would want for Mia. I know every animal is different and I work with pet owners to set a plan for their pet and I follow it to a tee to keep the pet’s routine as regular as possible while the owner is away. I have extensive experience working with senior pets and pets with health problems (Mia being one herself), and I know first hand how important it is to find someone you trust to leave your pet with, especially if there are health issues, while you are gone. More of my story: It all started when we adopted my family’s first fur baby when I was 8. As an only child, I’d begged my parents for a pet for years and they finally gave in when I was in the third grade. We adopted the last kitten left of the litter at the local pound. She was a black kitten that I named Roxy. Roxy and I were inseparable during my childhood, and I can’t imagine what it would have been like growing up without her. In 2017 when I got a place of my own that allowed pets, I adopted my first dog. Found on the streets, malnourished, severely underweight and her hair lost to mites, she had just given birth to a litter. I was volunteering as a dog walker at the local shelter at the time, and when I met her, I knew from that moment that my volunteer gig had turned into something much greater. I adopted her, and 9 years later, Mia and I are one and the same. I have one other part time job serving, so I have extensive availability for you and your pet(s) and can focus especially on your pet’s needs while you are away. I will stay at your home to keep your pet in its trusted environment. We will meet before you leave to go over routines and other details for your home and your pet’s environment.

I recently lost my 2 beloved dogs after nearly a decade together, which inspired me to sign up as a volunteer at my local animal shelter so I can continue spending time caring for dogs and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I work weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but I'm available before and after work every day, as well as all evenings and weekends. I'll make sure your dog receives plenty of love, attention, and quality care. I can also step away from work, on my lunch break, depending on the day. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My husband and I own our home. I have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor play and will always provide close supervision, plenty of affection, and a calm, loving environment where your pup can feel right at home. I can also crate your pup if needed!

She remained calm and continued working with him until he fully warmed up to her.
