“Clare was very easy to work with and reliable. She took great care of our kitties, which included having to come twice daily and giving oral medication to one of them. We will definitely be booking her again, and would recommend her to anyone else looking for a sitter.”

“Brooke did a great job taking care of my cat. She was prompt and communicative. She let me know how he was doing and took care of all his needs. Would definitely book her again!”

About: Hi, I’m Sarah, a lifelong animal lover and dependable pet sitter/walker who treats every pet like family. Whether your dog is full of energy or prefers a quiet cuddle, I tailor my care to their unique needs and personality. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and always focused on safety, comfort, and joy. From daily walks and playtime to medication and meal routines, I make sure your pet feels secure and loved while you’re away. I also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you never have to wonder how your furry friend is doing. With experience in caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, I provide a calm, confident presence you (and your pet) can trust. My goal is to make every visit or walk feel like a little burst of happiness for your pet. Let’s make tails wag and hearts happy! 🐾 I’m currently a part-time student studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and I also work as a bartender. While I balance both school and work, I maintain a flexible schedule and am able to adjust my availability as needed. I’m highly organized and manage my time well, which allows me to stay committed and dependable in all my responsibilities. I always treat animals in my home with love, patience, and respect. Whether it’s my own pets or ones I’m caring for, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. With my experience at the shelter, working for a groomer, and raising my own pets, I’ve learned how to understand their needs and provide a calm, nurturing environment. Giving animals the attention, care, and affection they deserve is something I take to heart every day.

About: I am a 31-year-old cat and dog lover. I grew up with a Pomeranian who I absolutely adored, and dogs always brighten my day. Three years ago, I adopted an adorable kitten, Cora, who follows me around all day, and I have officially become a crazy cat lady. I will love your cat as much as my own. I grew up caring for my family's Pomeranian from the time I was 13, and I have hands-on experience pet-sitting for friends and neighbors. I am very responsible, and safety is my number one priority. Whether you need dog walks, drop-in visits, playtime, daily photos, or just someone to hang out with your pets, I can help! I have a very flexible schedule and am free any time of day to fit into your routine. If you are out of town, I would also be happy to water your plants, get the mail, or do anything else you might need - just ask! I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet at home while you're away, and would be happy to meet with you before booking to make sure that I connect well with both you and your pet. I am currently taking a career break, so I am free mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Because of this, I have plenty of time to give your pets all the attention and care they need! Since I offer drop-in visits and dog walks, I care for pets right in the comfort of their own home where they feel safest and most relaxed. When I visit, I stick closely to your pet's routine: whether that means heading out for a great walk, making sure they have fresh food and water, engaging in playtime, or just hanging out and giving them plenty of love and cuddles. For cats, I'll happily scoop the litter box, keep them company, and make sure they feel pampered. Safety is my top priority, so I am hyper-aware to make sure doors, gates, and windows are completely secure every time I come and go. I will keep them safe and closely monitored during outdoor time, making sure they always return home secure and happy after their walk. You'll also receive daily photo updates during every visit, so you can have total peace of mind while you're away!

About: We’ve had animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm in southern KY I am used to caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, miniature pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc! Our animals have always been apart of our family and go where we go! Our animals are allowed on the furniture, sleep in our bed, and love to visit our parents house! I am a stay at home mom so adding a pet into our daily routine is actually pretty easy! We’re used to care for our own dog! We just have them join whatever we’re doing which makes it easier. I have two Littles who love to play outside and take them walks so I usually just have our pups tag along! Our pups routine is usually out to pee in the morning, a walk after her breakfast, lots of outdoor play or sunbathe time while me and my two kiddos play our back, another walk once the kids take their naps, more play time with the kids, another walk after dinner, then a pee break before we get into bed for the night! I’m home all day as a stay at home mom and my husband is fully remote so our pup is used to having somewhere there for whatever she needs or when we do go out and about if we’re able to we take her! Our dog frequents our parents house for even more cuddles and play! Animals are always part of the family on our end.

About: Loving, Reliable Dog Care Since 1998 My passion for caring for dogs began in 1998 when I started walking dogs in Washington, DC. What began as a simple love for dogs quickly grew into a rewarding business built on trust, reliability, and genuine care. With decades of experience, I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. I provide dependable, personalized care so pet parents can feel confident knowing their dogs are safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away. Whether it’s dog walking, sitting, playtime, or simply giving your pet some extra attention and companionship, I treat every dog as if they were my own—with patience, kindness, and plenty of love. Over 25 years of experience. A lifelong love of dogs. Care you can trust. I have a 5 lb. Yorkie for your dog to play with. I am retired so I am home all day, every day. We love to go out and walk every day . I have a fenced in yard with wire all the way to the ground. My built in pool also has a safety fence. I have a 5 lb. Yorkie. My house is free for your dog to run around.
“Tiffany was an excellent care taker for our dog. She came to our house for drop in visits and was very respectful of our property. She gave our dog lots of attention, played fetch with her in the field, and communicated promptly with each visit. I would gladly have Tiffany dog sit for us again.”

“Missy was so wonderful with my puppy Corbin! I had zero concerns leaving him in her hands. She was very communicative, followed directions, was respectful of my home, and was detailed in her updates. The photos she included in her updates were the highlight of my day! I could tell she really enjoyed her time with him and he was having fun and felt safe with her. Thank you so much, Missy!!!”

About: Hi! My name is Malia, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities! I’ve owned dogs and cats my entire life and have been caring for friends’ and family members’ pets for over 5 years. Over the past year, I’ve expanded my pet-sitting experience throughout Northern Kentucky, caring for dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes, as well as rabbits and even three horses! I’m currently 24 years old and in doctorate school for Occupational Therapy at Northern Kentucky University. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! ❤️ I'm currently a full-time doctorate student, so I do have to attend classes for a few hours about 3 days a week. I am available for overnights 7 days a week, and will make it a priority to stop in between classes to check in on the pets and ensure they are taken care of! I prioritize safety, comfort, and communication when caring for every pet. I follow each pet’s routine and instructions closely, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and treat every client’s home with respect. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.

About: I have 7 years of experience pet setting throughout Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati, caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ve cared for pets belonging to professional athletes, as well as senior pets who need a little extra attention and patience. I’m comfortable giving medications, managing multiple pets, following specific routines, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure to keep owners updated with pictures and messages throughout their time away, so they always know how their pets are doing and can see they’re happy and comfortable. I truly treat every pet like my own and always make their care my top priority. I work during the day, but I have a flexible schedule outside of work and am happy to work with your schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m available for pet sitting on weekends when I’m not already booked, and I’m always happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find what works best for you. I’ll do my best to make the process easy and convenient while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care! I’m comfortable caring for pets in their home and I will always make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m happy to follow their normal routines and any specific instructions you leave for me.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I volunteered with an animal rescue for about 6 years, where I fostered dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and even pregnant moms and their babies. That experience taught me how to care for pets with different personalities, ages, and medical needs while providing them with a safe, loving environment. I currently have a cat who is truly my baby, and I regularly care for my parents’ two dogs, cat, and lizards since they live nearby. Growing up, I was surrounded by animals, including dogs, cats, hamsters, and goats, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of pets. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, or just someone patient and dependable while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week. I’m happy to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and medication if needed. I’m willing to travel up to 30 minutes to care for your pets and will always make sure they receive plenty of attention and love while you’re away. I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it helps them stay comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and entering your home, so I’ll treat both with the utmost respect. If needed, I can also care for a cat or dog in my home, which has an open yard and a calm, pet-friendly environment. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for until you’re back.
About: I’ve been pet sitting professionally for around 5 years now and am very comfortable with most kinds of animals. I have experience in training pups, senior care, and medication administration. I’ve cared for animals with tumor-induced epilepsy, blastomycosis, diabetes, recovery from surgery, etc. In other words, I am prepared to care for your animal in whatever capacity they require. I work a part-time position that requires Saturday evenings and at least one 8 hour shift in the morning through the week. Other than that, I am available to be with your companions at all times of the day as per need. I will care for your pet in whatever capacity necessary. If they must be crate trained at night, fed daily medicine, diaper changed, regular training practice in basic skills (sitting, etc.), frequent walks, bathed, trimmed, I'm your girl. I’ll do my best to make them comfortable with me and happy in your home (even if that means love from a distance for some of our timid fellas).
“Hannah is absolutely INCREDIBLE. She loved on our teething 3 month old Aussie with so much grace. She sends lots of updates which is great for us because we always feel bad leaving her. Thank you Hannah for your patience and time! We will be a repeat customer for sure!”

About: I have been around animal's since I was a child. At a young age I was raised around german shepherds. My dad took in retired k-9 dogs and I helped care for them. When I got older I rescued abused pit bulls and took them into my home. I started helping at a shelter were I helped issued and challenged dogs. I spent day by day working with these dogs to help them get the loving home they deserved. I ended up adopting nala and she required a lot of my time so I sadly stopped helping at the shelter. I then took the time to take in rescued reptiles. I love all animals and will always go out of my way for any animal I work a full time job as a retail manager but I am always willing to work around my schedule and yours to help as much as I can. I also know times are hard and I just want to help. If you or a family member is elderly and worried about going outside right now please contact me and i will walk your dog for free. If you also cant afford services but need help please just reach out to me. I can not provide home services. Nala is older and not a fan of other animals even though she has a huge heart. I'm more than happy to gain your trust and home sit or walk your dog. I drive a hatchback civic that is very safe for driving my dog around.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
