“Melissa was a joy to have stay and take care of our pet. Buddy loved her and all of the attention she was able to share with him. We will definitely use Melissa again if she is available.”

“Kelsey took amazing care of all our animals! She was so professional and we would 100% love to have her house sit again! Our barn cat got into some sort of fight with a coyote or raccoon, Kelsey let us know right away and took amazing care of her, even finding her in our old barn and bringing her into the house to care for her (cat is fine as well). I appreciated how well she handled this while we were several states away. Pretty sure our chihuahua likes her more than us now. ?”

About: I have 7 years of experience pet setting throughout Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati, caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ve cared for pets belonging to professional athletes, as well as senior pets who need a little extra attention and patience. I’m comfortable giving medications, managing multiple pets, following specific routines, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure to keep owners updated with pictures and messages throughout their time away, so they always know how their pets are doing and can see they’re happy and comfortable. I truly treat every pet like my own and always make their care my top priority. I work during the day, but I have a flexible schedule outside of work and am happy to work with your schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m available for pet sitting on weekends when I’m not already booked, and I’m always happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find what works best for you. I’ll do my best to make the process easy and convenient while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care! I’m comfortable caring for pets in their home and I will always make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m happy to follow their normal routines and any specific instructions you leave for me.
“Brittany took great care of our 3 active dogs and two cats. We care mostly about the care of our pets. It is nice to have someone who will stay at your home so your pets don't have to be stressed not to mention the personal stress of transporting them to a kennel. She threw frisbee with the dogs every day and sent photos every evening. She took care of them right after the only rain this summer and took the time and effort to give them a bath. We will happily use Brittany again to take care of our pets and home.”

About: Hi! My name is Malia, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities! I’ve owned dogs and cats my entire life and have been caring for friends’ and family members’ pets for over 5 years. Over the past year, I’ve expanded my pet-sitting experience throughout Northern Kentucky, caring for dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes, as well as rabbits and even three horses! I’m currently 24 years old and in doctorate school for Occupational Therapy at Northern Kentucky University. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! ❤️ I'm currently a full-time doctorate student, so I do have to attend classes for a few hours about 3 days a week. I am available for overnights 7 days a week, and will make it a priority to stop in between classes to check in on the pets and ensure they are taken care of! I prioritize safety, comfort, and communication when caring for every pet. I follow each pet’s routine and instructions closely, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and treat every client’s home with respect. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.
“Anna did a wonderful job with my two dogs and my daughter’s cat. I had surgery and was anxious enough but once I knew everything was going ok, I was able to relax. Anna had to be at the house early and covered late night potty breaks. I am very grateful!”

About: Hi! My name is Lucie and I have a huge passion for all things dog, I have been a dog groomer for a year now and have been pet sitting for at least 4. I am very used to nervous or difficult dogs. Dogs are a huge part of my life :) I work 4 days a week but my job is very flexible so I can easily leave to quickly let pups out to pee on work days! Like i mentioned I have been pet sitting for 4 years and have built a lot of trust with my clients! I do lots of text check ins with pet parents so they know they’re baby is doing good!
About: I have taken care of many pups and built many meaningful relationships with their owners! I pride myself in my relationship with animals and hope to spend my time caring for your babies! I babysit consistently for a family one day a week (Fridays) and go to school online so my availability is almost always open! I’d like to be notified at least a day or two before the days you need care for your pet! Caring for a pet in someone else home involves being respectful of another’s property and being mindful of any and all hazards potential to cause problems with the animal. Making sure to follow clear instructions and take all the necessary precautions with the pet is the only right thing to do!

About: I have currently been working in veterinary medicine for 2 years in which I have been a veterinary assistant. I am currently also going to school to become a certified veterinary technician! I pride myself on specializing in puppy/kitten care and administering medication. I have also recently just retired from fostering for local shelters within the area in which I fostered over 15 adult animals and many litters of orphaned kittens and puppies. This has given me a great deal of confidence in caring for animals and experience with all age and medical ranges I currently work 4 days weekly at a local veterinary hospital. My schedule consists of 4 days from 8am to 5pm. With this being said, I make sure to provide pets their daily meals and be let out for potty breaks at a minimum of 3-4 times daily. This allows for pets to be comfortable with a schedule that has not changed. I also ensure that all of the pets needs are met before I retire for the night at 10pm. This will vary depending on the pet’s needs. I make sure that pets are fed the appropriate times and amounts asked for by their owners. Pets are also guaranteed 30 minutes to an hour of playtime/cuddles depending on what makes the pet most comfortable. Having your pet with a sitter can be very intimidating and stressful for the pet, therefore I make sure to only provide services they are okay with and not forcing my presence on the pet. Litter boxes will be changed daily as well as water changes. Walks can also be expected for each pet if needed to range from 30 mins to 1 hour. Pictures will also be sent to the client daily to ensure peace of mind as their pet is well taken care of.
“Ashley did a great job watching our pups. Communication was fantastic… pics and texts, as we’d discussed up front. She even checked on our chickens when the weather became unseasonably warm! Thanks Ashley!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I volunteered with an animal rescue for about 6 years, where I fostered dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and even pregnant moms and their babies. That experience taught me how to care for pets with different personalities, ages, and medical needs while providing them with a safe, loving environment. I currently have a cat who is truly my baby, and I regularly care for my parents’ two dogs, cat, and lizards since they live nearby. Growing up, I was surrounded by animals, including dogs, cats, hamsters, and goats, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of pets. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, or just someone patient and dependable while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable care throughout the week. I’m happy to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and medication if needed. I’m willing to travel up to 30 minutes to care for your pets and will always make sure they receive plenty of attention and love while you’re away. I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it helps them stay comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and entering your home, so I’ll treat both with the utmost respect. If needed, I can also care for a cat or dog in my home, which has an open yard and a calm, pet-friendly environment. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for until you’re back.
“Brooklyn was fantastic! She provided us with regular updates, she communicated very well, and she was very reliable. Our dog was very anxious as a result of the fireworks for Fourth of July, and we hated to leave him, but Brooklyn did a great job of taking care of him while we were gone. We will definitely have her watch him again!”

About: Hi I’m Brooke! I’ve been pet sitting for family and neighbors for over 10 years and have yet to receive a complaint. I have experience caring for animals of many sizes, temperaments, and needs. I’m comfortable administering medication, including insulin, as my own dog has diabetes. I currently work as a caregiver at a nursing home three days a week and have weekends off, which gives me flexibility and reliability in my schedule. Being a caregiver has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and sense of responsibility, qualities I bring to pet care as well. I have a 10 year old miniature schnauzer named Cooper and a 12 year old rescue cat named Whiskers who I absolutely adore. I truly love all animals, from dogs to snakes! I’m very active and enjoy spending time outdoors, but equally love snuggling up on the couch with pets. Your pets safety and comfort is my priority :) I work at a nursing home Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets on the weekend! I have a fenced in yard with a friendly pup. My cat prefers to be outdoors, so it won’t be an issue if your pet doesn’t get along with cats. I am completely dependable and will follow all instructions to a T.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 928 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hamilton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hamilton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hamilton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hamilton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hamilton. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
