Merve was a wonderful carer for our 2 cats during our 2 weeks holiday. She played with them, look out for their wellbeing, cleaned the litter, shared lots of pictures and videos. The girls loved her, she knows how to deal with cats! We will definitely book her again when we need someone to take care of our cats at home, I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Merve!

Leah was absolutely wonderful with our cats! Our kitties are usually quite shy and scare easily, but they connected with her right away—which says everything about her calm, kind energy. It’s such a relief to know they were in such caring hands while we were away. Leah clearly has a special way with animals, and we’re so grateful for her attention and warmth.

About: I have a lot of experience in working with animals as i worked with my mum at her business in dog walking/doggy play group and dog grooming. I grew up going to help her at work learning a lot about different dogs and breeds and requirements. I spent every weekend, school holiday and any time off work I could get to help out as I enjoyed it a lot. My aunt has a farm and every year I go stay on it, I have helped rescue dogs and administer medication to a variety of different breeds and needs. I currently work full time, but do have Fridays off. I’m looking for part time work so I can focus more on animals and pet care or a remote job where I can tailor the hours around pet care. I will care for pets in the owners home. This is as I have a cat and a dog at my home currently and can’t risk any arguments

About: I’ve had my Ridgeback since a puppy, not for faint hearted and well versed in the shark teeth playing! Kobi and I have completed our KC Bronze and Silver awards and now training for Gold. We enjoy exploring new fields and experiences and he loves playing, he is a sweet natured gentle giant that loves to play! I will look after your fluffy friend as I would want my boy looked after when away. I have also taken protrainings canine first aid level 2 course. I currently work from home Mondays,Wednesdays and Fridays, free weekends, and do morning and evening walks with Kobi, with plenty of time in between for playing and training. Will adapt walking, training, playing according to your dogs needs. I have a fenced garden and plenty of fields around to walk. I will only allow your dog off lead if you want, otherwise I have a long line to give them some freedom and Kobi will also keep your friend company.

About: I’ve always been looking after dogs whether it was my family’s or even a neighbour’s, animals are very important to me as I’ve grew up around them my whole life! I’m very familiar with both big and small dogs! I’m currently in college so I have plenty of time afterwards and at weekends to play and drop in on your pets! I’m available for looking after the pet at your house most of the time (mainly weekends and sometimes holidays) and I’d love to do so! I know every fur baby is special and I currently don’t have the means to have pets overnight as I live with my grandparents however I’d love to look after them at yours! Or just do drop ins and/or walks, I always find spending time with animals helps my stress levels and anxiety so it’s a win-win hahah! I’m always respectful of any place I am so you needn’t worry about that, I am always welcoming notes and letters of how to best look after your fur baby as it’s crucial I do the best I can.

At this point, we try not to even bother searching for sitters; we just select the rebook option with Ella to see if she's available. Whether it's a drop in if we're going to be gone for a long time during the day or staying with him overnight when we're gone for a few days, we trust Ella to take care of our pup. She knows his routines and understands that belly rubs are just as important as walkies, though she does manage to get him on out walks which is no easy feat with our lazy, stubborn dog. It offers us peace of mind that we know everything's just taken care of plus getting pictures when you can't be with your fur-baby is always great.

About: I have cared for a whole host of animals since I was young, having grown up in the countryside with dogs, cats and other animals as family pets. My love for animals is evident in my care for them; regularly sitting for multiple families while they are away on holiday, and also offering dog-walking services in the village that I used to live in. I work from home so have time to nip out and check in on your pets in breaks/lunches! The benefit of working from home also means that I am able to station myself in your home to look after your pets around the clock while you are away. I will happily follow any instructions given to look after your pets, including any specific instructions that will help your pet feel comfortable around me. Having looked after a range of dogs, I understand that different dogs can have different approaches to help them feel safe and relaxed around new people.

About: I have grown up with dogs since 1 years old. I have had boxers my whole life, and I currently have a 7 year old boxer called Lola ❤️ so I am more comfortable and experienced with larger breeds! We love our walks with lots of things for her to sniff and mark as her territory! 😃 I currently work full time Mon-Fri 9-5 so can fit in walks either before or after my shift. I work from home 3 days a week so I can also pop in on my lunch breaks. I live at home with my family, my dog, and my cat. Taking care of them is a daily ritual of mine including feeding, playing, and walking. My dog is reactive toward other dogs so I would not introduce mine to yours for safety and I keep her on a short lead unless I can let her off.

About: As someone from a family that always had animals at home and who more recently lived with professional dog-carers, I can safely say I've met just about every type of dog it's possible to meet and a wide variety of cats too. I am used to being surrounded by over a dozen dogs at a time and am pleased to report that my dog-carer friend was happy to leave two adult African Ridgebacks in my care, even though no one other than himself and the dogs' own human had done so before. At the other end of the doggie scale, I've also played saviour to small dogs amongst a lot of big ones on several occasions when last minute requests or crossed-lines meant someone's tiny buddy found themselves in the midst of scary hairy giants. Over the past few years, I've gained a few paying clients in the UK (which is why you might feel that my rover.com rate is higher than average) and now visit three different destinations in Germany annually thanks to the feline friends I've made through the international site, Trustedhousesitters (their human staff check if I'm available before booking their holidays). I have experience with all ages and temperaments of cats and dogs but it doesn't end there; I've cared for budgies, chickens, sheep, goats, geese, and even rats (which are adorable and intelligent and get really unfair bad press). I've never taken care of reptiles, amphibians, arachnids or insects but would be more than happy to do so; whether an animal has fur, feathers, scales, an odd sort of exoskeleton or eight red knees, I'm ready and willing to make friends with them because where animals are concerned, I don't discriminate. But arachnophobes be warned - this does mean I'm far more likely to make a buddy out of that spider in your bathtub rather than flush the poor fella down the plug hole. I describe myself as temporarily retired and am currently living on my savings, a teeny-tiny pension pay-out and occasional busking sessions in my local city centre. This means if a pet comes to stay in my tiny flat, I can be with them for most of the time. A well-behaved doggo can even come busking with me, as long as they're the type that's happy to stay in one place for 90 minutes or so. Basically, I can make my schedule and routine fit with that of your beloved fur-buddy; their needs wouldn't have to be compromised to suit me. Take a look at my photos for examples of how I keep in touch with my clients' humans. For drop-ins, walks and day care, I'm afraid I can only accept clients in Newport, South Wales as I don't drive. A very important point to start with: I don't drive. I'm happy to travel any distance in mainland UK but would need my (economy) travel expenses to be covered. If caring for a pet in my home, the owner would need to bring them to me unless it's in the local area. I live in a comfy but small flat in South Wales which is probably unsuitable even for indoor cats but if you're sure your cat wouldn't mind that there isn't much space to explore, it should be fine. Very energetic dogs might feel a bit stifled too but whether they're large or small, as long as they don't need a lot of room to run around in when they're at home, they'll be fine. It's been my experience that dogs care more about how much their human companions are around than they do about the amount of space they have. When taking care of pets in their own homes I make sure I have a check-list of everything I need to know about the house itself and any care that it might need while I'm in situ. Of course, the care of the pets is the most important thing but I would also familiarise myself with such points as where the hoover is kept, what day the bins are emptied, how the recycling is sorted, where the fuse box is, how the washing machine works etc. I am always very respectful of other people's homes and property, never snoop or go into rooms that are not open to the animals, and if anything should be accidentally damaged, I will either replace it myself or be totally honest about it, offering to pay if I can't replace it. I never invite other people into the homes of those I'm sitting for or do anything that might be considered anti-social to neighbours. If one of the animals in my care has an accident of some kind, I deal with it immediately and, if needs be, inform their humans of the mishap.

About: Hi! I'm Alessandro, a 30-year-old animal lover based in Stratford Upon Avon. I've spent most of my life around dogs and cats, so I understand their needs and personalities well. Over the years, I’ve trained dogs in basic commands and behaviours, ensuring they’re happy, well-mannered companions. I’m equally comfortable caring for cats, whether they’re the independent type or enjoy a bit more attention. With eight years of experience looking after a variety of breeds, I know the importance of adapting to each pet’s unique character and providing them with the care and attention they deserve. By choosing me as your pet sitter, you can trust that your dog or cat will be looked after like they’re my own. Their safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority. I work full time as a football coach, my job allows me freedom to come back home when needed to offer toilet breaks and walkies for doggies. I moved into Stratford around 18 months ago and don’t currently have my own! I’m looking to be the best friend whilst owners can gain some well earned freedom. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure they have a comfortable, safe, and clean space to relax in. I provide regular walks for dogs, plenty of playtime, and maintain their usual feeding and exercise routines. I make sure to create a calm environment, where pets can feel at ease, with plenty of attention. If I’m caring for pets in their owner’s home, I follow any specific instructions given, from feeding schedules to preferred walk times. I also keep the home tidy, respect their space, and ensure the pet feels secure by sticking to their familiar routines. Whether at my home or yours, I treat each pet with the same level of care and attention they’re used to.

Debs is amazing with dogs! My Fred is very particular about who he likes, and he LOVES debs. Debs has had Fred over night multiple times, takes him for walks/ plays with him and gives him plenty of fuss! I’m always really nervous about leaving him, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else with him. Plus she always sends load of photos of him enjoying his time with her, and makes me feel so much better. He genuinely loves debs, and so do we! I couldn’t recommend her enough.

About: I have 6 years previous experience as an animal welfare assistant, Where there have been a variety of rescue dogs with all different needs some for example have been blind, puppies and very old dogs along with there individual quirks. Also there was a range of cats from completely feral farm cats to kittens and even rescued house cats who loved a lot of fuss and treats. I also have two dogs of my own an 11 year old springer spaniel who is a rescue and my 1 year old cocker spaniel who I have had from 9 weeks old. Since growing up in a village I have walked neighbours dogs and parents friends dogs since the age of 14. I’m able to do long and short term pet stays for both dogs & cats, day drop ins and also dog walks either 30 or 60 minutes😊 To help provide the best care for your pet I do meet and greets with every potential client to discuss there pets needs and see them in there home environment to lean more about them and learn there usually routine so I can stick to this to make sure there pets settled whilst providing care for them and they are getting the best care like they would with there owners😊

I’ve known Lindsay for the best part of 10years.. as a person she’s just lovely: honest, funny and genuinely caring. Instantly engenders trust and confidence. As a dog trainer, especially one that does residential training I have high standards, not just for my own dogs but also for my clients… whose dogs I treat as my own. Lindsay is exactly the same and I would trust very few people with my dogs, Lindsay is one of them.

Victoria is great with dogs, we have a very excitable barky dog who she handles well, remaining calm and firm with him to help him relax. She also has experience in caring for cats and horses, we would trust her with all our pets.

Roísín has been our trusted housesitter for many years now. She has been looking after our two dogs and four cats regularly whilst we were on holiday. Roísín loves animals and enjoys her long walks with our dogs and finishing off each day with cuddles with our cats. She is super tidy around the house and an excellent communicator. She updates us daily with photos and little stories about the pets - with great imagination and humour. Nothing seems to be too much to ask when it comes to maintaining things around the house either. She is a kind human being and we consider ourselves very lucky to have her help when we need it. a true 5* from us...

Alessandro has been an absolute lifesaver, looking after my two huskies Nova and Rivo while house sitting for us ☺️ From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such capable and caring hands 👏🏻 Huskies can be a handful, but Alessandro managed them brilliantly with patience, love, and plenty of energy! He kept us updated throughout, sending pictures and videos which was such a comfort. We came home to two happy, well looked after dogs and a spotless house. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much Alessandro! X

Scarlett has another level connection with our 2 year old Labrador. She is attentive, caring and affectionate and treats our pup like he was her own. Scarlett’s not put off by our Labradors need for long walks! She lives in a beautiful location, surrounded by vast open spaces and beauty spots. Scarlett is a photographer and the snaps/updates we get when she’s looking after our boy are always amazing (big bonus!). Highly recommend!
