About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and have been a dog owner for the past eight years. I am fully insured and have a friendly Labrador, Flora, who loves the company of other dogs. As a family of animal lovers, we understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your dog. Every dog in our care is treated like one of our own, with plenty of love, attention and exercise, so you can relax knowing they are in safe and caring hands. Pet care is a big part of our daily life. I work part-time from home, so I am around throughout the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship and attention. We have a friendly four-year-old Labrador, Flora, who loves having canine company. Dogs in our care join us on our many walks to the local parks, where they can enjoy plenty of exercise, sniffing and socialisation. At home, we have a large, secure garden where we spend lots of time playing fetch and other games, ensuring your dog stays happy, active and entertained. I provide a safe, comfortable and caring home-from-home environment for every dog in my care. I have a large, fully enclosed and secure garden with plenty of space for dogs to play, explore and relax throughout the day. Inside, dogs are treated as part of the family and can enjoy a calm, welcoming environment tailored to their individual needs and routines. If your dog is crate trained or requires a crate for sleeping or downtime, I am happy to accommodate this to help them feel settled and secure during their stay.

Robert was very responsive to messages from booking, to drop-off and pick-up! He made sure to double check if our dog, Casper, was allowed treats etc., took him on a walk and provided lots of photos and videos! I'm sure I'll ask him to look after Casper again in the future!

Cheryl took care of our 5 months old puppy really well. Upon meeting her, my husband and I felt confident and comfortable leaving Aki with her. She took brilliant care of Aki and he had tons of fun there. It was Aki’s first time away from us and he was clearly very happy there. Cheryl sent us update photos throughout the day. We will definitely book again.

About: Hello, I'm Harry. I've had dogs in my life since l was a baby! We had a family dog and we also did a lot of 'Borrow My Doggy' - looking after lots of different breeds and sizes. We dog walk/dog sit as a family - I'm studying on line from home, and my parents (Laura and Mark) are retired. This means lots of availability, and great company for your pet. We offer dog walking, drop ins, day care, boarding and house sitting. We will walk and look after your pet together, making sure they are exceptionally well cared for. We dog sit as a family, so there is always someone available to care for your dog. I study on line from home and my parents are retired. We have plenty of time to make sure your dog is exceptionally well cared for. We love to walk, and there will be many opportunities for a walk, and always someone around to play or snooze with. Our home does not have any other pets or children. We don't have an enclosed garden but if pet sitting at our house, we will take your dog out as needed. We have plenty of space to play and for your dog to stretch out and relax. We're happy to dog sit at your home too. We'll take the time to learn about your dog and follow the routine you prefer. We always encourage a 'Meet and Greet' so you can see if you like us!

About: Hi! I’m a passionate dog lover who has been brought up with dogs all my life, so I’ve always understood just how much they become part of the family. Six years ago, we welcomed our beautiful, energetic Cocker Spaniel, Reggie, into our lives. He certainly keeps us on our toes and has taught me so much about exercise, playtime, patience, and giving dogs the love and attention they deserve. I absolutely love spending time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s walks, cuddles on the sofa, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of care, affection, and attention tailored to their individual needs. I understand how important it is to leave your furry family member with someone you trust. My husband and I both work full time from home, so are able to keep your dog company. Your dog would fit alongside our home routine and would get all of the love and attention we give to our Reggie. I have a fully enclosed garden for your dog to safely play outside. They will have full access to roam in the downstairs of our home.

About: Plenty of space in the house, toys, fenced in field next to the garden. I have had dogs since 2008 when I had my first Border Collie x and I now own a 9 month old German Shepherd cross who can either play or be kept separate. I am self-employed and sometime go away for work but usually am around the house/garden/farm so will be available to supervise pets at almost all hours I have a fenced field especially for exercise and dogs will be kept on leads when going from the house through the garden. Dogs can either be kept to their specified schedule or fit in with ours.

Buddy had a great day with William and Orion, whilst we were up here visiting family. Orion was very accommodating with buddy’s energy. They had a lovely walk nearby in an enclosed area and then fun back at their spacious house. William clearly has a way with animals. Will definitely use William’s experienced services again. My only wish is that they lived close to us in southwest London! 🙃🐕🙏👌

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Huntingdonshire on Rover is £27.6 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,005 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Huntingdonshire. About 86% of Huntingdonshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Huntingdonshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
